great location. funky area of Athens with lots of great restaurants and bars close by. the rooftop of hotel looks out to the acropolis - it has a great view. you can see the sunset from the rooftop as well. they serve breakfast on the rooftop terrace. the hotel room was big and comfortable and well designed. the staff were very friendly. breakfast was delicious. the pool was great after a hot day. definitely recommend this boutique hotel

Pool isn't really usable as in the reception area so feels a bit odd stripping down in front of the receptionist and checking in guests!

The most amazing little hidden gem! location is great. a few minute walk from the cafes/bars as well as Acropolis entrance which can be reached within 10 minutes. The rooms are clean and modern with Joe Malone toiletries! The pool is perfect to cool off and there is always water and sweet treats on offer 24/7 in the lobby. The hotel has a great modern/chic Greek vibe through out and the breakfast in the morning is lovely. The view form the roof terrace is just incredible! unobstructed view of the Acropolis and the perfect place to enjoy breakfast. The staff are hugely attentive and made the stay even more pleasant. Stay here!

Loved our stay. This was our second stay in Athens in our month long trip, staying 3 nights. Location: We loved the location, it is easy access to great food options hidden in Psiri region and shopping. We stayed previously on the other side of Plaka, and found this location to still be more accessible. Reception/staff: Were beyond amazing to us. We were always greeted with great big smiles and were offered help at all times. They truest are amazing. Breakfast: Officially the best we were served out of 8 places! Warning, they serve a lot. My only tip to either future clients or hotel, would be to have food storage options available. The food was so good, to think left overs go to waste would be the only downfall. It could easily serve as a morning snack too. My other tip might be to go exploring in the early am, before the July heat kicks in and have 1030am breakfast/brunch. You will not need lunch. Most tourist spots open at 8am, we were able to go exploring each morning and then come for food. Roof views: AMAZING! I didn’t think anything could beat our first stay, and although a very different view, it was spectacular! We spent 2 nights lounging up on the balcony with a bottle of wine and a complementary platter (cheese and fruit). The layout allows some sense of privacy, which is hard to achieve on open roof tops. Pool: Just because I have read reviews saying it isn’t what they expected. The pool is as big as it is in pictures. It is a small plunge pool, and with only a small amount of guests I never seen more than 2 people in it, however plenty of people could dip in. The spa looking part (sitting area) could sit 4-6 people. I don’t know if the spa features work as I never tested it out. The water is refreshing. Colder than the July beach water in the islands, though much needed when escaping Athens heat. Rooms: Bed was super comfy, shower and bathroom was large considering the age of building and being Athens. 2 people can fit easily.

Door bell and entry area has no shade. If visiting for first time or after check out to collect bags, it’s a hot place to be stuck waiting for door bell to be answered. A shade would be recommended, or bell that can be answered in multiple locations for staff.

The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating, if I am not mistaken the lady at reception was called Christina and she was an absolute superstar. The room was super cosy and cute and the view from the terrace was breathtaking! Excellent choice value for money andhighly recommend.

One of the most significant advantages of Hotel is its location. Situated conveniently very close to the metro, it provided easy access to various attractions and landmarks. Modern and trendy design, contemporary aesthetics, the attention to detail in the decor created a unique ambiance. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the breathtaking view from the rooftop terrace. It offered a great view of the Acropolis, especially impressive during breakfast and sunset or evening. The breakfast at Hotel Athens was a definite standout. The offerings were diverse, with a wide range of delicious options to cater to different tastes. The excellent quality of the food was matched only by the friendly and attentive service provided by the staff.

The immediate surroundings of the hotel might not be the most picturesque, but don't let that deter you as the hotel's interior and amenities more than make up for it. Hotel Asomaton might not be the best choice for older individuals or those with mobility challenges. The design-focused elements, while appealing to some, could be a bit impractical for older guests.

Exceptional stay in the most convenient location close enough to be able to walk to from train station Monastariki, walk to the Acropolis, views overlooking as well whilst having breakfast. The room was just gorgeous, private, quiet & clean with a view overlooking tropical courtyard. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. With a lift making it easy to take luggage. Very close to marketplace and restaurants with a fabulous, fun & lively nightlife. Grecian life is the best! Special mention to Youtha (I hope spelled right) she was so friendly & hospitable, a joy to have her welcome you!! Will definitely recommend Asomaten hotel!

It was the best breakfast I’ve ever had in a hotel. The location was ideal and all the hot spots where in a 15 minute radius. The room was comfortable, and the balcony was perfect for having breakfast outside. The rooftop terrace has a beautiful view of the acropolis. The stuff was lovely and very helpful.

The hotel was in quite a loud area, and although they offers earplugs, the windows could have been soundproofed a bit better. The only male hotel staff we encountered was short on words and when a problem was brought up with him he implied we were to blame for it. But the other staff corrected the issue.

We enjoyed our stay at Asomaton for part of our honeymoon. The location was great (an easy walk to the Acropolis and to restaurants and bars) and you can't beat the views from the rooftop patio. The design of the hotel common areas and our room was lovely. The breakfast was plentiful, and the staff (who were all very helpful) packed us a breakfast bag to go when we had to leave early on our last morning.

As mentioned in other reviews, there isn't much storage space for luggage or clothing in the rooms (although this didn't bother us for a short stay). Our room faced the courtyard and felt a bit dark, but also not much of an issue as we spent most of our time exploring the city.

Great location, just around the corner from the metro that gets you to Piraeus (port to the islands) or airport. Also very close to the Ancient Agora and Hadrian's Library, many great restaurants and bars, and within walking distance to the Acropolis area as well. Breakfast on the terrace was great, with a view of the Acropolis, quite generous servings and lots of choice. I also found the staff very friendly and helpful. The room itself was spacious, very well cleaned and because of where it's located (close to but away from where the main bars and nightlife are), there was no street noise at night. I particularly appreciate the personal touches including the handwritten welcome note and small gift box, as well as the welcome snacks.
