Nice hotel, very close to Acropolis, walking distance to old city and centre, so satisfied with the location. Hotel has a nice roof with restaurant, nice view of Acropolis at the roof, but do not expect that much great view of Acropolis from rooms, usual balcony with limited view, this is just for information because before booking we couldnt find informative photos of the "Acropolis view room", just do not book with great expectations, otherwise hotel has quality and great staff. I recommend the hotel.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. From the front desk,to bellmen doormen, room service, even the lady who cleaned my room was very kind and thorough. The rooftop bar was fantastic and the staff there was awesome. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. They helped with directions, taxis, dining suggestions, everything. Price was extremely reasonable for the quality of the hotel. I will stay there again and recommend it to others.

Only downside is I saw no bars and restaurants nearby. Had to taxi everywhere. I would have liked being in the middle of things a little more. I like being able to walk out and have bars and restaurants right there, not 10-15 minutes walking distance. .

The Divani Palace Acropolis is our home away from home and there are many who are responsible for the five star rating. Let’s begin with the bellhops who are friendly and considerate. They provide suggestions and make arrangements for transfers and recommendations at new destinations. The bar has an excellent menu and may be enjoyed by the pool. It is attended by Giorgio, he is truly an asset to the hotel. He is always smiling, greets you warmly making guests feel special and better than at home. Also, the pool lifeguard maintains the area in top shape, always helping the guests by answering questions and truly tries to maintain a relaxed and respectful atmosphere for the enjoyment of all the guests. The breakfast crew is exceptional, accommodating, friendly and so very helpful. Special mention to the Captain Enislidi Stavroula who makes sure guests are assisted promptly. I truly enjoyed my daily coffee in the restaurant, it was welcoming, relaxing and a delicious option not to be missed. The Acropolis Secret was outstanding, Sortiris and his crew, unbelievably kind, charming and consistently delivering exceptional service. He remembered that we loved the chocolate eclairs last year and made it possible for us to enjoy them again although they are not in the current dinner menu. It is this attention to detail that compelled us to dine thrice at the roof top restaurant. Kudos to the excellent laundry services and housekeeping staff that kept everything clean and fresh. Imagine our joy to return to a clean room, crisp linen and freshly pressed clothing after long hot days of excursions. The Divani Palace Acropolis transports you to a gentler time with their marble floors, expansive lobby area, works of art, and ancient ruins just below their floors. Also, enjoy resting your eyes on the Acropolis from your balcony each night. We had a wonderful time at Divani Palace Acropolis and it is our hope to return and see everyone again.

In contrast, some of the reception desk staff (with the exception of Iriny who is a gem, consistently smiling, helpful, a treasure) are inattentive of the guests who are patiently waiting to be helped, do not make eye contact or acknowledge guest presence and when they are finally helping them, there is rarely a smile. The pool area would be greatly improved if the perimeter was designated a non smoking area for families and children to enjoy. Also, if children still in diapers would not be allowed in the pool.

Location was excellent, room had Acropolis view and balcony. Bathroom facilities excellent. Staff were very friendly and would do anything for you.

The pool itself was disappointing, it looks bigger in the pictures. Impossible to get a good sun lounger at it, if one at all. Many families occupy them, with their kids, the sun only hits a small area, which means you sit in the shade. Disappointed in my request for a double bed wasn't facilitated, two single beds when you're there with your girlfriend is not ideal. The door to the bathroom, was difficult to open from the inside (even if you didn't lock it), it was hard to open if you did. Need to upgrade doors as it's a 5star hotel. Bathroom doors a throwback to the 80s. Having travelled a long way as part of a multicontinental trip, the ability to get an iron was a bit of a joke, waiting two days to get one. Again, a 5star hotel, should have an iron in the room.

The location of the hotel is very convenient, the front desk manager responded to a small issue with our first room by offering us a free upgrade. Breakfast options were plentiful and nice and the overall staff service was very positive. Gym was also very well equipped.

The hotel seems to be undergoing some gradual renovation of its rooms and balconies. This upgrade is needed and it gives the hotel a true 5 Start feeling. The little cactus plants and ashtray bins outside the elevators are unnecessary and should be removed.

I liked the hotel very much and would stay there again. It had a great location, the staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome and accommodate our needs, it had strong wifi, had a nice patio, and you didn't feel "nickeled and dimed." English was perfectly supported. Even the maids were great. We were located near two very nice dining districts, and there was a good supermarket ("MyMarket") just down the street.

One of the two guest elevators was under construction which created congestion at high volume times of the day, there were a lot of organized tours; the Acropolis was wonderful except that at least from our room you had to stand next to the balcony and hang your head over the rail to get the view, but then my husband got some great shots (sample attached). The breakfast buffet was generous, but the bar and regular restaurant were not open. I'm not trying to be critical, but trying to be helpful here.

The gym is really well organized and has all main machines and equipment. The location is very convenient. I received a free upgrade which was appreciated. My room had a very beautiful view of the Parthenon.

I booked this hotel because I needed to park my car in a garage. The hotel however does not have it at its premises, but nearby. Those parking facilities are not directly run by the hotel, but by a third party. I think this should be better specified. The garage is under a gas station and unfortunately it was closed. So, I had to bring my car to a different location in order not to leave it on the street.

Great location - walking distance to the Acropolis and to Plaka. The staff was friendly, and very helpful. Beautiful lobby and amazing views of the Acropolis from the rooftop restaurant/bar. The hotel also has a small but refreshing pool area where you can relax and cool off during the hot summer season. Not many hotels in Athens have pools - this is a very nice feature. At the end of a long day touring Athens we felt grateful to be staying at the Divani Palace Acropolis Hotel. We liked it so much we canceled our return hotel and booked at the Divani Palace Hotel for our return flight home.

great location, great team. Mary, Iren and Lucas in the reception helped kindly with every question i had. Tatiana from the cleaning helped me kindly and immediately if i asked for something. There was a problem 15.4 evening with the remote control of the television, and 5 minutes after i called the reception it was fixed. Amazing service, well done. About location: it is only 5-10 minutes walk from Acropolis, 5 minutes walk from Plaka, and 15-20 minutes walk from Monastiraki one minute walk (kavalotti street) there is a great resturant names "El greco" with tasty, traditional, and not expensive food. In addition, there is "Dive" cafe across the street. They prepare amazing coffee

i really don't have any complaint about the place. it was perfect. if i try to work hard to find a problem, i would say that only one elevator sometimes (in the morning if a big group leave) causes "traffic" (5 minutes waiting) problem. but it is really neglectable

There is much to recommend the Divani Palace Acropolis, the easy access to the Acropolis, the plentiful options for dining and shopping in the neighborhood, but I’d like to suggest that best reason to recommend this place is the people. During our stay, two people in particular exemplified this spirit of service first… Kosmas and Irene managing the front desk during the day juggled multiple visiting groups, anxious guests, and still managed to get us all sorted out with an superior room with a view, and special requests…all while maintaining an air of calm professionalism. Certainly stay here because it’s a great choice when visiting Athens, but you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the people who work here who help make this great choice an exceptional stay.
