I love my stay at this hotel! Location just right next to the beautiful beach, especally enjoyed my morning coffee with the sea view! Breakfast was great, with many different options each day. Dinner was delicious, the best moussaka I've ever ate! Chocolate cake and orange cake with the ice cream...the best!😇 Our room was super clean with all amenities we needed. Towels were replaced every day. We had beautiful sea view from from our balcony. Even though the hotel is in a busy area, it never felt that way in the hotel, there was always a lot of space in the restaurant and free beds on the beach. The highlight of this hotel was the staff! They were all so helpful, kind and friendly, big thanks!💜

I didn't like parking lot that is located just under the balcony.

Beautifully located right on the beach. We were lucky enough to have a room with a sea view, so could enjoy the sunset from our balcony in the evenings - heaven! The bed was large and very comfortable. The shower was great! The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff were all lovely and extremely helpful.

Our room was quite small, considering the amount we paid for it (€277 per night). It had very little storage - no drawers and a meagre 5 clothes hangers in the wardrobe! We had to live out of our suitcases, which was far from ideal in such a small room. Very poorly designed. Agia Marina itself is not a particularly pretty resort - just a long strip of hotels and restaurants, quite characterless. There is an older part, which has more of a village feel to it and some lovely tavernas. It is close to the hotel but easy to miss, so make sure to ask how to find it.

Cozy, modern, and stylish hotel, loved the curtains, balconies, and terrace in particular. Great location - just by the sea, with a wonderful view and private territory where there’s always enough spots and sun loungers. Delicious meals, huge portions, and DIVINE chocolate and orange cakes. All staff are absolutely amazing - very kind, flexible, thoughtful, and helpful. My special thanks to Georgos and Kostas who went beyond just providing a service and brought in a personal touch that made my experience genuinely warm and human🩵 This was a perfect 10-out-of-10 stay beyond any expectations. My warmest regards and biggest thanks to the whole team that stands behind🙏🏼🫶🏼

This is not meant as negative feedback but rather a suggestion: Even though it was meant to enhance the guests’ experience, perhaps, could be a bit more mindful of resources and offer guests an option to reuse towels - no need to change them every day. Also, when asked to serve 1/2 instead of a whole portion, especially by guests from a low-context explicit culture, know that they are not being modest or holding back, they truly mean that😄 I hate to throw away food, but sometimes I simply could not finish my meal for the portions were so huge. And you should definitely bring those exquisite juicy cakes on your menu more often🔥

Staff is very friendly, nice and helpful (reception, bar/restaurant, beach); helped us also with trips, renting a car and restaurant recommendations; location on the beach with fine sand and sandy and easy entry into the sea; sign on the beach not to leave towels on sunbeds; food and drinks at the restaurant; proximity to other beach clubs and good restaurants. Close to bus stop to Chania.

Some guests need to learn how to behave in a boutique hotel - too noisy when going back to rooms after midnight (rooms close to reception and on the way up are more affected) - this has nothing to do with the hotel and its staff

A very pleasant experience at this hotel. Although we arrived before the check-in time, the young lady at the reception invited us to wait for breakfast while the room was being prepared. The food was very good, both at breakfast and at lunch and dinner. The room and bathroom are spacious, and cleaning is done every day. Access to the sunbeds on the beach is free, even beach towels are provided. The reception and breakfast staff are extraordinary, always attentive and smiling.

Elya is a network of boutique hotels, and you get high value for your money. It’s located next to a beautiful beach, has nice rooms with great view to the beach (ours was a sea view room on the upper floor), really rich breakfast, and a nice stuff, (although not personal attitude too much- still it’s not a family business). There’s a nice small pool and a private beach front. The town is really nice and quiet tourist town, offering great restaurants and activities.

small things that can be improved/fixed: 1. the Internet was very weak, we weren’t able to use it most of the time. 2. the water stream flow is also so weak that it’s very inconvenient. 3. when flushing the water in the toilets it spread the water outside, watering the person who used it. 4. the beach beds are rough and not comfortable

Elia Agia was terrific. The facility was very clean, amazingly located right on the beach and the breakfasts were really, really great. What a spread! We had a great time there. The A/C in the room was a life saver! The beach and water there is wonderful, too,

The rooms while very clean with a nice little balcony, could have used a dresser of some kind. Any drawer would have been welcomed. I didn't research carefully enough to see how busy the main street was where this is located, and therefore, the beach, too. If you're looking for a real hopping spot with lots of people (tourists mostly) and families, then it's a great spot. If you're looking for something a little quieter and off the beaten path, this may not be the best choice. Regardless, we really liked our stay there. The pool was small and meh...we didn't use it as the sea was awesome, and food/bar service ended a little early for our schedule (somewhere between 9-11pm depending on the night), but I really think they did a great job overall.

Everything about this hotel was exceptional. It was spotlessly clean. We had a room with a sea view and a balcony. The staff were very helpful and service was excellent. Lost as in particular was fantastic. We had half board and although the menu was not huge, the food was very fresh, tasty and they had daily specials. The fish was superb. The hotel is in a busy resort but it was very quiet at night and it’s on the beachfront. We sat and had dinner on the terrace every night and watched the sunset. The spa is also great. We also enjoyed the Pilates class on the terrace. We will be back for sure!

Everything was great

Everything was great. Particularly the stuff, who with their commitment and helpfulness made the stay very pleasant and trouble-free. Very nice and spacious rooms, very well equipped. Our room had a view to the sea and it was very nice to hear the sound of waves in the morning right under our own windows. From the hotel yard you go straight down onto the beach with a few stairs. The sandy beach is long, very clean and with lots of sea shells. The bar is well equipped, breakfasts plentiful with a large selection of local delicacies. The restaurant serves such delicious meals that you do not feel like looking for anything else somewhere in the town.

The staff in this hotel were so incredibly friendly and sweet! They gave us great recommendations and always went the extra mile to make sure we have a nice time in Crete. They always did their best to accommodate our requests and we had the best time in Crete thanks to them. I would go back to this hotel just for the staff working there, they did a fantastic job and showed true hospitality. Other than that, we loved the breakfast, the rooms were always clean, and the location of the hotel was quite nice and close to everything. It’s a walking distance to plenty of bars, restaurants, beach clubs, etc and it’s about a 15 minute ride to downtown Chania (15-18 eur taxi or 2-3 eur bus). It takes about 10 minutes to walk to Platanias which also has great restaurants and nightlife options.

Nothing! Our stay was perfect and we did not want to leave.
