We stayed here for our 30th Wedding Anniversary in Sept 2024. The location, accommodation, staff, breakfast, drinks, evening meals, were all superb. We loved it here and would definitely recommend. The attention to detail is evident everywhere you look. The staff, in particular, Chris on reception, are incredibly helpful and friendly. To acknowledge our anniversary, our breakfast arrived on a love-heart shaped floating tray to sit in the swimming pool. We both had 2 Spa treatments each and the therapist was excellent on each treatment. There is a small gym that we used almost daily. The private pools and views are stunning. The perfect retreat to relax and unwind which is exactly what we wanted.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lagon boutique hotel and it was truly a luxurious and rejuvenating experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the bright and spacious accommodation that was tastefully decorated and had all the amenities we could ask for. One of the highlights of our stay was the private plunge pool on our balcony, where we could relax and take in the stunning views over the old city of Chania. It was truly a magical experience to enjoy a glass of wine while watching the sunset from our own little oasis. The food at the hotel was also exceptional, with a delicious breakfast served in our room each morning. We also had the opportunity to dine at the hotel's restaurant and were blown away by the quality of the cuisine. The gym, indoor pool, and spa facilities were also top-notch and allowed us to stay active and pampered during our stay. Overall, our trip to this modern spa hotel in Chania was everything we had hoped for and more. We left feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and ready to plan our next visit. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable experience in chania.

The views from our balcony were exceptional. We ended up not going out to town most nights just because we wanted to spend time in our private pool watching the sunset colors. Having a delicious "a la carte" breakfast delivered to our balcony every morning made us feel extra special. The hotel staff deserves a special mention - they were all outstanding, friendly and efficient, and nothing was too much trouble for them. Even when my husband forgot his sunglasses in a cab they managed to locate the taxi and get them returned! Extra bonus points! Highly recommend.

Me and the hubby spent our days playing a game: let's try and find things to complain about this hotel: - cicadas in the neighborhood were too loud - sunset took place at the same time everyday, a more accommodating schedule would have been appreciated - view didn't seem to change much, it was the same every day - staff was far too helpful

Exceptional views, great room, spotless and very comfortable. Staff were very attentive and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was great and all the food from the restaurant was of a high standard. Spa was beautiful and treatments were reasonably priced and I had a wonderful experience. We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel and although we didn’t have a hire car, we used the bus and taxi services to commute between the hotel and Chania town. All in all a great experience with sunsets and sunrises to die for.

Balcony was a little cramped and we couldn’t get any shade from the sun from around 11am to 7pm, even when in the pool it was just too hot to bear sitting out there.

What a special little place! If you read no further, all you need to know is we are super particular and this has the highest rating of all the hotels we stayed at. Our arriving flight was delayed for just over two hours, meaning that an already late arrival became a midnight check in. We messaged the hotel just before we took off to let them know and to ask if there would be someone available to receive us. We received a message back from the hotel within 2 minutes, telling us there would absolutely be someone at reception and it was no issues, so no need to rush or stress. On (late) arrival, we were greeted by a beautiful crisp, clean and very new hotel. First impressions were very good. On arrival at the reception, the gentlemen was expecting us, knew our name and had everything ready. Knowing we had a little arduous journey, had offered to take us straight to our room, or would happily make us a drink. We decided to have a drink. As we found with all the staff, they pitched the conversation perfectly. Not intrusive, but interested and always incredibly happy and smiling. We arrived in our room. We booked the Ambassador room with sea view. It was special in every way. New, crisp, well decorated, smelling amazing. A wonderful view over Chania. We realised we had also been gifted a lovely bottle of fizz, so sat and enjoyed the wonderful view. Breakfast is served in the room. Just call in the morning when ready and it is brought to you. It, like everything about this hotel was very very good. Fresh, great selection and lots of it! We treated ourselves to two spa treatments. These were excellent, professional and very relaxing. We found the price to be very reasonable, especially considering the professionalism and quality. The main event at this hotel is the staff. They are very lovely people. We have never stayed at a hotel where we had been made to feel so welcome and not just a guest.

Our stay was wonderful from start to finish. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A big thank you specifically to Chris, Vaso and Evi for their warm welcome, their generosity and their help in planning our visit of the island. The breakfast was delicious and the portions were very generous. We very much appreciated enjoying our breakfast in our room or next to our private pool with a wonderful view of the port and the old town. Our room was clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. We were also touched by the champagne bottle and the massage session that were offered to us by the hotel as a honeymoon gift. We also wanted to thank Maria Manaroli for the wonderful massage and for her professionalism. In a nutshell, our stay couldn't have been any better and we would surely come back on our next visit of Chania.

Bright white and well designed hotel. Sensational breakfast, but we expected the menu to change each day - it didn't. The dishes were quite big, maybe a little too big, because we weren't able to finish them. Great, if you are really hungry in the morning. The private pool ist awesome and the bathroom with two sinks looks quite modern. The whole team (especially at the reception and bar) was so very nice, they made us feel really welcome everytime. There is a free parking in the basement of the hotel. And there is also a LIDL market quite near.

The private pool isn't private at all. We always felt watched from the balconys next to us and especially from above. Furthermore, we were always told that the hotel was so safe, because there are cameras all around. Yes, a lot of cameras, even some seem to take care of our pool. Not so nice. The breakfast menu didn't change in the 4 days we were staying. And no possibility of saving a parking spot (but a lot of possibilites around). The hotel is really far from the centre or restaurants near the water (but a bus station quite near).

Lagon is really clean and has great views and access to the sun, meaning the pools/balconies are not shaded. The spa is also very nice. The rooms are spacious and have most of what you would need, with a great bed! The staff and owners are exceptional and really take this from 4 to 5 stars. They offer such amazing service and all the food and drinks at the hotel is great.

The 5 star feel isn’t quite there when it comes to the finishes, ie there is a lot of white plastic furniture which makes sense for practicality but makes the place look cheaper than it should. The TVs are extremely small and are not “smart”. The nightstands have a wood looking plastic cover on them, etc. The sunbeds are nice looking but they have a fixed setting so you can’t put them more up or down - just one setting. Very uncomfortable for a whole day.

I have been all around the world, been to so many countries but never felt so good, so welcomed, so cared by the staff like at this place. From the genuine welcome and recommendations from Xrista (Xristoula) to the very friendly night receptionist who brought me a bottle of water in the evening. The breakfast is simply PERFECT, just the feeling that you can be lazy on your room and someone is taking the breakfast to you is simply an amazing experience. So many options to choose and all of them are delicious! Every room has their own little pool, amazing sized rooms with good toilet with the best greek brand amenities Apivita. If there is a perfect place on earth, the name is Lagon Life Spirit Hotel. The perfect boutique hotel where you don’t feel like a guest, you feel like home. I would have much more to share but believe me, this place has no problems at all. I work in Hospitality for 10 years and never felt so good in a hotel like in this place. When I come back to Crete, this is one of the reasons to return. Thank you very much for such an amazing time, for the most genuine hospitality and the care you take on your guests.

The staff were exceptional the moment you step through the door it is pure bliss! The sea view rooms with private pool are worth every penny, the sunset views are stunning! The breakfast included is a really good variety delivered to your room, and you choose your selection the night before - the Oreo pancakes are delicious! The room service food and bar menu is also a nice variety, ordering and delivery to your room was so easy, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The steak, the cheesecake and strawberry mojito mocktail are all *chef’s kiss*! They provide pretty much everything you need all toiletries, both pool and indoor towels, mini fridge with water - the bed and pillows are so comfortable too, shower pressure and temperature all really good! I didn’t visit the spa on site but it looked amazing and is always a bonus. Don’t hesitate to stay, it really is worth every penny and the best experience of a hotel I’ve ever had.
