The room we stayed in was very comfortable and felt luxurious despite it's relatively small size. The staff was very helpful to us at our time of stay. The location is further from the noisy streets of the very center of the city, and makes it a comfortable place without too much traffic or noise. There are plenty of cafes surrounding the hotel and it was very easy to get to the public transport from there, as well as having it as a starting point for a walk by foot. The hotel has accommodations for anyone that requires accessibility for a wheelchair or otherwise support for physical disabilities, which I appreciate as someone from a family with multiple disabled people.

The area, as stated previously, is a tad further away from the most of the places of interest for Thessaloniki, in my opinion. For a couple that did not have a bike or a car in our visit, that did mean figuring out travel via busses and taxis for the most part. It should not be a problem for anyone that stays with a car (there's a parking nearby) or that travels by bike.

We only stayed one night at the hotel. We got there early evening on Sunday and were greeted by the receptionist who looked after us very well. He was very friendly and very polite. Everything that we needed to know was explained to us and in a short time we were in our room. The room was very clean, very tidy and in good condition. Everything in the room worked well and there were no problems. There was plenty of hot water and the towels were nice and fluffy and suited our needs. My wife who is fussy about beds found it comfortable and she told me that she had an excellent nights sleep. I had no problems with the bed either. The internet service was strong and quick. I had a little trouble logging on but that was because an extra step was required and I couldn't get my head around it as I was very tired after a long days travelling. Our room had a balcony so we could go outside and smoke and an ash tray was provided. The bathroom was a good size, clean with a good shower space and raindrop shower head. There was also a hand held shower. The whole room and bathroom was fresh and modern and when I walked I immediately relaxed and felt comfortable. The breakfast was enjoyable with a choice of continental style with plenty of variety and a good selection if one wanted a hot breakfast. There was tea, coffee and fruit juices available. I likes the fact there was a choice of two jams and honey for the croissant or toast. Too many places give you such a large variety that you waste time and hold up queue trying to select what you want. Breakfast was buffet style another personal liking of mine. I went back for toast after eating my croissant and got a second cappuccino at the same time. If you want a good meal try the taverna Angalitsas about 7 minutes walk away. We had a huge grilled squid each which was fresh, tasty and enjoyable for only 9 euros per squid. Ask the hotel for directions. Cab will be cheap.

There was nothing not to like!!

We enjoyed everything about our stay at Anessis. The working staff was extremely friendly, helpful and attentive and made us feel at home from the minute we got there. The hotel itself was nice, the room had everything we needed and the bathroom was newly renovated. There was cleaning staff who made up the room every day. Breakfast was also good. The location was very convenient, close to bars, shops, restaurants and the city center was also in walking distance. We were able to find parking right in front of the hotel every time. We highly recommend staying here.

This hotel is good value for money. The location is very good, room is basic but still good enough for a few days. Extra value because you get breakfast, even though it is basic it is still good start of the day. The reception is open 24h that is good if you are coming late at night.

By my opinion bed should be more comfortable, basically that is the most important thing. The room was not that noise free as we expected, something was making noise during the night I'm not sure what it was, maybe elevator or something else.

Well designed, modern and innovative room despite its relatively small size. Air conditioning was quiet and efficient, the breakfast was fine, the staff was very nice and helpful.

The shower tray is actually a shower terrace, so it requires an extra attention not to let the water to flow everywhere, even to the room, but it was only a minor issue; it was just rather funny. The emergency button is terribly located above the bed: it requires another extra attention not to push it multiple times e.g. during sexy time. The breakfast was good but we missed the mustard.

We had a pleasant stay at Anessis Hotel. It was not our first time here. Rooms were renovated in the past few years (new bathrooms, etc). Very good location in the city center, just few minutes walk to Vardaris. Nice breakfast and 2 free parking spots right in front of the hotel. That is a big deal in the center of the city. Excellent value for money if you're looking for one or two nights stay in Thessaloniki. Very nice and welcoming staff, 24h reception, great job guys!

Hotel lobby is a little bit outdated, could use some renovation, new furniture and lights.

Avoid the rear bedrooms because all the air conditioners of lots and lots of rooms all hang on the walls. Just one went wrong at 2am which stopped me sleeping but when sleep deprived in the morning I asked for a room change they upgraded me to the front of the hotel. Bigger room, sea view, much better. I am basing this review on a room at the front of the hotel not the back of the hotel - more fool you if you take a small room at the back.

I stayed 3 times in this hotel in three different rooms, which were all fine. Nice breakfast was available starting from 7. The hotel is a 15 walk away from the centre of old town. It sits basically at the edge of it. It is just a 10 minute walk to the train station, and 20 mins by bus to the Intercity bus terminal. We also had a balcony in all of our rooms.

If having a TV with your favourite program is a must (not for me), local TV is what you would get.

Helpful and polite staff. They communicated promptly to our emails and met our claims on rooms availability. I can say excellent service which helped us to spend more time to do trips in Thessaloniky.

Elevator. Electricity suddenly turned off and elevator moved slowly down, then stoped, then moved ... and in-between floors I got-off from this randomly moving machine and I had not used it again since the whole time of my trip. Maybe it is common technical issue but I was afraid.

The staff was incredible and made our trip even better. They remembered us each time they saw us, they were very helpful and accommodating and always with a smile on their faces.

The only thing that felt strange was that the doors didn’t have locks. It would lock when you close it, but that was it. The beds could have been more comfortable and I wish we had gotten thicker blankets.
