The check-in was smooth and the room was comfortable. I booked a single room with shared bathroom for a one-night stay. The staff were helpful and the location is good.It's easy to navigate around Budapest with the help of public transportation. I believe it's an ideal deal for a short trip of a day or two in Budapest.

I returned to Dominik Panzió after some years and was happy to see the street has not changed much and it's still very pleasant. It was good to see the place underwent improvements like the refurbished bathrooms but kept its modesty and purpose. It was great to see staff at the reception and the keys being kept there the classic way. Cold drinks can be bought at the reception and there is a hot-drink vending machine in the hallway. Wifi was very good. I like the early check-in time. For those using public transport - the proximity of a bus stop is great, especially in winter time.

I wish breakfast would become available for all guests again.

Taking into account the price I paid, this hostel exceeded my expectations - clean room and bathroom, very quiet and warm. Is very convenient that the hotel/ hostel is not far from public transport station, very easy to find and get there. The staff is polite and helpful. I travel a lot and I really recommend this place, the distance from the city center is not a problem, with a 24 hours travel card (costs about 6 €) is very convenient to use public transport and get very fast and easy anywhere.

I stayed here for 3 nights. The location is right in front of the bus stops and very convenient. There is almost no noise during the day or night, so you can get a good night's sleep. The shared toilet and bathroom were very clean, and the room was clean as well. I had reserved a single-bed room, but luckily, my room had 3 beds.

It would have been great to have a small mirror in the room, but other than that, it was very good in terms of price-performance.

A real budget accommodation for those who want to stay in a nice, cultured place in a good part of the city. I have returned to this place because nothing beats it when you look at the price. The first picture you might get might leave the impression of a run-down dormitory but this is only because the corridors have old rugs... The actual room is neat, cleaned, full of light and has new beds. The reception is 0/24. The shared bathrooms are very recently renovated and the shower cabins look like in a nice hotel. Downstairs there is a canteen where you can get coffee and simple sandwiches. The radiator gave a very comfy warm when the night got chilly. Walking distance from Keleti railway station - or 2 bus stops. I like to come here because if I only need a bed for the night, I don't want to give out a fortune but I'm too old to share room with strangers and here I get my privacy :) There are electric plugs next to the beds and each bed has a reading light.

It would be neat if the rooms had a little mirror if you want to get ready. For the rooms with the shared bathrooms, I wish a big bath towel would be provided, not only a hand towel... Some of the walls and bedlinen would need some further attention. But all in all I have nothing to complain about, you get what you pay for and my expectations are always met here.

I booked a single room but was surprised to receive a room with three single beds all to myself. Even though the room was small, it was perfectly sufficient for just me. I stayed during the summer, and it was quite warm in the room. The shared bathroom down the hall was clean, which I appreciated. The reception staff was very nice and accommodating. I arrived much later than expected due to a delayed flight, but the receptionist was kind and helpful, even though I think the reception is open 24/7. The location isn’t the best in relation to the city center, but there are buses that run every 10 minutes, so it wasn’t an issue.

For the price I paid (very small), I have no complaints.

We've stayed here before and we choose the place due to it being very close to the train station. You get what you need - a clean, quiet room to have a rest after a long trip. Very good for short stays, as the rooms are quite small. I like that everything is spotless clean every time.

This time the room had 3 beds, which left little space for luggage and moving around. Also I could not figure out the shower and ended up showering with cold water. I don't know what's up with hotels choosing showers that seems like some sort of spaceship motherboard. On/off cold/hot. That's all we need.

The location of the panzió is relatively convenient (a bit of walk from Keleti station, though). At my stay, the receptionist was very friendly, the communal bathroom and toilets were all clean, and my room was also clean with the bed comfortable. In the room I stayed in, there was not much (pretty much just a bed, small desk and chair, and a small wardrobe), but it suited my short stay, so I was happy with it. It was also very quiet, which I liked.

Everything went well at the time of my stay there (food delivery was a bit problematic to the location from where I wanted to order).

Dominik Panzió is a magical building, as you walk down the beautiful long and wide corridor to the stairs, you feel like you are in a castle. Every next time I come to Budapest, I will look to spend in this facility. The location is excellent. Hygiene is excellent. The architecture is magical. 💗

Very helpful staff, safety, comfort, good price, simplicity, clean room. Excellent place especially when you need to have a comfortable sleep in between of exploding the beauty of Budapest. It is well communicated with the city center, everything is close, the surrounding itself is safe.

Shared bathroom could be a slight disadvantage in terms of comfort, but it is clean.
