Everything was very nice, neat and clean. Staff helpful, breakfast rich, full variety of everything. We liked coffee machine with coffee capsules in the room - it was free of charge, what a nice touch. Someone can find location further from city center (walk dist. 15minutes), but for us it was ok + it is very near the Heroes place with large park.

Hotel doesnt have their own parking (understandable with that perfect location), but they send us all helpful information about parking possibilities, which was very helpeful. In near streets you can park for only 3hours max, but 5 minutes away (slow walk) you can find safe and cheap carpark, so no problem at all.

Wonderful hotel placed on Andrassy street in the nearby of many embassies. The building itself seems to be an embassy. Very intimate, clean, kind personal and quality services. The hotel is located 5min by foot from the Heroes Square and about 15min from the St. Stephan Basilica. I would highly recommend this place for a 2-3 days city break especially in the summer as it is so closed by foot to almost all of the main sights in Pest. For the Buda sights I would recommend either bus, tram or subway as the distances are significantly higher.

If you are lucky enough you can find a free parking lot right in front of the hotel. Otherwise you have to park the car in a parking which is 5min by foot from the hotel. It cost around 5000HUF/day.

Really great breakfast, clean, comfortable rooms with AMAZING shower/lovely bathroom. Great to be able to link your Netflix account. Triple glazed windows ensured quiet from the main road outside. Lovely outdoor terrace. The entire hotel is finished to a super high standard and it's in a great central location. The price was really reasonable for the standard of what was included. The staff were also really sweet and helpful!

Only small things that didn't negatively impact our stay.... Despite the aircon, the rooms were a little warm but it wasn't a big deal. We had lunch one day on the terrace and the burger was served pretty much raw! It would be good to have some warning on the menu so you have the option to order it more well done. It would be good to have a full length mirror in the room but there was one outside in the hall way so it was fine.

Everything. Can’t honestly rate this hotel better. It’s in the center of Budapest close to heroes square in one of the main streets. It’s a nice boutique Hotel. Rooms were as in photos and perfectly clean. Breakfast was great with a variety of great options and coffee/ juice/ cereal options as well. Hotel Restaurant and Bar was perfect ambiance and not so pricey (plus food was delicious and cocktails were insanely good). It’s a fast connection to all the famous sites or to the double decker buses (Right ob héroes Square). We even had a super early departure (5am) and they prepared take away breakfast boxes for us. Honestly can’t rate them enough. Would definitely recommend and return. If you are reading this review and thinking about it just book them!

This hotel has everything you need. Great location, delicate interior design, nice and clean rooms and comfy beds, the bathroom is very nice (the shower is big). The breakfast is very nice and varied (you can eat outside in the garden, very beautiful) and the staff is very kind and will help you with everything you need. Our room also had a big balcony, we didnt know when we did the booking but that was a very pleasant suprise that we used a lot. The location is perfect, only a 10 minute walk from the Szechenyi bath and the hotel is located in the Andrassy ut street. The area is full of beautiful buildings and embassys and if you walk further down the street you find many good places to eat, do some shopping and other things worth seeing. 10/10 experience, will definitely come back the next time I’m visiting Budapest.

This small 3-storey hotel is an elegant, beautifully renovated 19thC. mansion in the Embassies conservation area of Budapest. It is situated close to Heroes' Square, the Museum of Fine Arts and the City Zoo, on Andrassy Street, a stately, wide avenue which in the other direction leads to the Liszt museum, the Opera House and the city centre. Though some way out of the town centre it is well connected by the historic M1 metro line (3-4 mins. walk from Bajza Ut. Station, although this final section is currently not operating at weekends). Buses and trams also transit the area. The hotel itself is that rare combination of hi-tech facilities and tasteful comfort. The bed was very comfortable, with soft pillows and pure cotton linens; the non-slip shower was powerful, hot and easy to use, and my first floor room was spotless and quiet. There was both a kettle and capsule coffee machine, as well as a huge smart tv in the room, though no fridge, the only thing which would have added to my comfort. The included breakfast was a generous hot and cold buffet catering to all tastes, with fresh fruit, salads, porridge and various fruit juices for those wanting a healthy option; me, I went for the classic grilled bacon. scrambled eggs, hash browns and baked beans, with toast and fresh fruit jams. Breakfast was served every day from 7 to 11, which removed the stress of rushing around to get down to breakfast before it closed and ensured no congestion in the relaxing dining room. A home-cooked restaurant menu was offered until 9.30 pm inside or out. Outside was a pretty fairy-lit terrace and garden where you could eat, drink or just relax and read or send e-mails. But the highlight of Hotel Alice was the wonderful staff: cheerful, friendly, kind, always professional, and willing to go the extra mile. Thankyou especially to Evelyn, whose care and attention made me feel like a treasured guest, and the kind daytime manager who could teach his competitors a thing or two.

There were a few steps and a winding staircase to navigate, due to the historic protected status of the building, although there was a very smart glass lift which went from floors 0-3 once you were inside the building.

This former mansion is nicely furnished, very contemporary. Especially the breakfast room is an eye-catcher. My room was on the top floor with my own terrace, overlooking the quiet and lovely neighborhood with embassy’s and other mansions. The A/C was quite loud, but very effective. Subway and bus stop are just three minutes away, so most sights are reachable in no time. Everything very clean, staff mostly very friendly. Alice Hotel us highly recommended!

The breakfast itself is not as wonderful as the breakfast room - it’s okay, but dull. And you have to pay for everything extra, even for porridge (and it’s not even good). The toiletries are disappointing: Yves Rocher is so not cool, they’ll have to close all stores in Austria, Switzerland and Germany because nobody is buying their outdated stuff anymore. I would have expected to find toiletries from brands like Grown Alchemist, Antipodes or Aesop - it’s a boutique hotel after all!

We had a big problem when we arrived with the parking our car. There is no parking with the Hotel. We were told to park on the street. In the Front of the Hotel was no parking space on the street so we had to drive to a side street with hourly parking. Unfortunately, the parking meter did not take credit cards and only florint coins. We had no coins. We went back inside the Hotel and the guy could not exchange any coins for us. He said download the App. We did and it did not work. Now we had spend already an hour. Carried our luggage half a km into the Hotel. After App did not work (we are tech freaks, so it was not us) we went back and asked what to do now. Reception guy told us to walk 10 minutes to an exchange place. We drove 10 minutes to an exchange place, but they were closed. We drove to the next one and they would not exchange for coins. Next exchange place the very rude guy told me to take a hike when I asked for coin exchange. Now it was 20pm and parking free on the side street till the next morning at 8am. We spend over 2 hours on the parking issue. The Alice Hotel should give some advice in booking.com about the parking.

The Alice Hotel can only be recommended. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The location is always a choice you make for yourself and in this case, it perfectly met my needs (and public transports are near anyway). It was perfectly quiet and clean in the room. The bathroom and especially the shower are an absolute highlight. Having stayed for 6 nights, i can confirm that there were minor changes at breakfast every morning, which was a pleasant surprise. Also, i welcomed that the breakfast room was not overcrowded and noisy, but rather calm and relaxing. So all in all i would recommend this hotel and would gladly go back there if the occasion arises. Without raising any negative points, I would ,however, make a couple of suggestions, which is informing new guests (or propose help) on how to operate the air condition panel (as i overheard guests complaining in the breakfast room on how hot it was in their room - i believe not everybody has the know-how with these technical devices). Also, and i heard this several times, a minibar would be an additional value. Not only would guests like to have a fresh bottle of water (or other things) but, when in Budapest, people also like to bring a souvenir from the Market Hall (cheese, pepperoni, paprika, etc) and it would be nice to store this somehow before the return voyage. Finally, a minor detail, there is no container or receptacle for the soap bar in the bathroom, which makes things a bit messy around the sink. This being said - a perfect place. Highly recommended. And thank you.

Disliked · 1. WIFI in my room only is very bad, All around hotel is good and strong the hotel's manager came in my room and saw the problem by him self and promised to solve it but nothing happened during my stay (4 nights) then I requested to change room (304) but he said hotel fully booked. 2. No Refrigerators in rooms if you have items or medicines give it to reception to put in their refrigerator (hotel policy)...!!!???? 3. Breakfast buffet need improve it's little items.
