The room was good size, fairly comfortable bed, good size bathroom, and very clean on arrival. The location was good with public transport outside. It was quiet at night with no noise from traffic or neighbouring rooms. I was surprised how nice it was considering some of previous comments I had read. But it was a place I wanted to experience for myself after visiting Budapest several times in the last 20 years.

As some previous comments suggested,my first night there were one or more coach parties, and while this did not affect my nights sleep,it did seem to affect the breakfast period With few places to sit and when I got up to get a coffee I had to move someone out of my seat There was no organisation, like giving your room number and being shown to a table,it was just a free for all. So on this basis if I stayed again I would choose room only And there was not TV remote control even after reporting did not appear.

The hotel has quite non-traditional cylindric layout that I liked a lot. Staff was very helpful. Breakfasts very nice with even quite brunch options for all-day breakfast (pasta, letcho). Big parking place for a surcharge. Location is a bit outside of centre, but still about kilometer and half to the castle. Perfect if you arrive by a car. Nice view from higher floors. Bathtub in room.

It is apparently some "communistic" brutalistic idea to put a 15 story cylinder hotel in a valley, but for me that was actually a plus. Some of furniture seen better times.

This is a real classic hotel with many of its original features and a really special place to stay. In the 1980s it was probably a top place to stay and today its architecture and original interiors make it worth seeking out. Great views over Budapest from the higher floors. Room was a good size with very comfortable bed. Bathroom with a good bath/shower. Surprisingly good breakfast with plenty of vegan friendly items.

I liked everything, especially its quirkiness. It is a beautifully designed hotel and retains much of its original charm.

Hotel - if you like vintage, cold war era style - PERFECT. Food - OK - wasn't awesome as the reviews, but not horrible. Room - awesome. Clean. Quiet. No smart TV. Elevator - Not sure why everyone complains about it, I never had to wait more than 2 minutes I would stay again. Staff spoke english and were very helpful.

The breakfast buffet, wasn't really a thing. At 0800, there should be spaghettis and salads. No egg option besides scrambled. It fit the cold war era motif, we put out what we have. No more, no less. Check out a full review on Blue Moose Traveler on utube.

Modern room, very comfortable bed. Amazing view from 12th floor. Pretty close to metro.

Not so clean in the bathroom (hair). They forgot to put towels into the room. Check in took pretty much time, even though the payment was already been made.

Room on 15th floor as these are where the suites are located. Absolutely excellent views. Classic ex Iron Curtain hotel with far more character than the posh 5 star hotels on the Pest side. Great transport links right outside. Great bars and cafes just yards away.

Window key only available from reception via maintenance engineer + phones have been removed from rooms so no way to contact reception other than going down 15 floors. Pretty annoying when you just want to open or close your windows a little. Shower/hairdryer from mid 1980s. Obvious hotel or hotel group has no money or isnt willing to upgrade or modernise the hotel. Shame as we would happily pay twice as much to stay if some 15th floor rooms were brought up to date. This wouldnt compromise on the hotel still receiving its coachload custom for the other floors which it clearly relies on. Perfectly understand that too.

Amazing unbeatable views (if you get the front side of the hotel facing the parliament) Good breakfast, but their water dispensers aren't tall enough to refill bottles. This is an old hotel, but it's rather regal. This hotel is quite close to the Bastion such that you can catch a 5 AM sunrise and only be up at 4:30 AM, as opposed to having to wake up at 3 AM at a hotel from the Pest side. There's a fridge in my room that works, although it took a long time for it to start cooling drinks. In case you somehow need to get to Mexikói út, there is a bus that goes all the way there from the stop in front of the hotel.

I admittedly had hesitations on booking this hotel when I saw a review on Google that burglaries occur in the rooms of refugees. It didn't help that the hotel card given to you says the hotel takes no responsibility for missing items. It also didn't help that there are no "do not disturb" cards in my room and I had to get one from the concierge. I don't think airconditioning works. I stayed for two days, and it was very hot on both days. The bath tub needs to be rethought. It would create a puddle in the bathroom. WiFi isn't the fastest, and the connection itself is rather finicky. Staff aren't as helpful in terms of tourist inquiries. The room's a bit dusty.

It was a good breakfast, where you could choose slightly different food from the buffét. We didn't pay to much attention to the area, because we were traviling, and only needed a place to stay for the night. But, it was a great stay. We slep well, and it was a nice room. Shower and even bath tub. We lived at the 9th floor, so we did not hear the discotek at the 1st floor. The hotel was a bit crouded with busses and cars in front of the enterence, but they had a good parking sollution in the back yard of the hotel, that you can rent. We will most likely come back an other time 👍

No problems 👍

it’s a very good location and comfortable hotel. There is tram stop just near the hotel, and it’s around 15 min form a city Center. Comfortable bad, warm room, good badroom. i liked the stay.

would be nice to have a kettle in the room. also the restaurant works a bit strange, it always was closed when I tried to get in.

Great location, iconic rooms in a round, tower-style hotel. Tram right outside as well as a nice park. The staff did their best to accommodate a rising number of customers.

The hotel has seen better days. The last renovation seems to have been 30 years ago or more. There was a pool of water in my small room fridge- I couldn't use it. There was also no real AC in an upper floor room during a massive European heat-wave.
