Wonderful location. But during the New Year holidays there was thick fog and all the beautiful photos from the window did not come together. It's a pity..Everything else exceeded expectations..The general manager of the hotel does a good job..Professionals work everywhere .High level of service in all restaurants and bars .Fresh food. Quick solution to all problems at the reception .beautiful well maintained spaces in the lounge lobby restaurant and hall Everything in the room is in good working order. Hot water and heat in the room. In general, I liked the New Year's Eve celebration and my stay in this hotel. Thank you.

a little expensive 1260 euros for 2 days

Fantastic location on the Danube with a beautiful view of castle hill and the chain bridge, next to Vaci Ut. with all the shops and restaurants. Great breakfast. Powerful shower! Close to public transportation that's FREE to everyone over 65, even foreigners!

Great location in the city centre, close to baths, restaurants, interesting places. Awsome view to Buda Castle and river. Very tasty breakfast with a plenty of choice and served coffee. Comfortable bed, clean and all room. Nice is coffee machine and kettler with coffee and tea in a room. Friendly staff, beautiful Christmas decoration in all hotel, nice restaurant and breakfast room.

Spa is poor, not clean, pool water was cold. There was a receptionist who doesn’t care that hotel guests go to see sauna and pool in winter clothes and shoes which they use outside, very disgusting. In the room there was a bit cold, air condition is too loud to be switched of during night. There is a poor soundproofing between the rooms, you can hear everything from the neighbours rooms. But the guests were very polite, so there was no problem with noise.

Our recent stay at InterContinental Budapest was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the impeccable premises, festive Christmas decor, and spectacular New Year’s Eve arrangements created a magical atmosphere. The beautifully designed outdoor surroundings and the grand inner lobby with thematic Christmas displays made every moment feel extraordinary. Special appreciation to Petra at the reception, who ensured a seamless check-in process and arranged a delightful room that made our stay even more enjoyable. Her care and attention to detail truly set the tone for a wonderful holiday. The breakfast experience exceeded our expectations, with a wide variety of options to satisfy every taste. A heartfelt thank you to Aya, whose warm and thoughtful care toward our daughter left a lasting impression. It’s rare to encounter such genuine hospitality. The concierge team deserves immense praise for their professionalism and dedication. They went above and beyond to organize exceptional daily plans, provide insightful tips to explore Budapest’s hidden gems, and recommend top-notch dining experiences that showcased the city’s culinary treasures. The hotel’s central location was unbeatable, with the Christmas market, the Danube River, and the castle all within walking distance. InterContinental Budapest has once again proven why it remains a trustworthy and exceptional IHG property. Thank you for creating a magnificent vacation experience that we’ll always cherish.

Overall, it's quite standard, in terms of room, facilities, breakfast, services etc. - standard that one can get at any similar level of hotel groups around the world. The only exception that makes it distinguished is its grand night view.

Housekeeping - The phone was never answered whenever we called. - The housekeeping could not remember the number of guests in our room even though the sofa bed was unfolded, so we just got two sets of clean towels every night when we arrived our room and coz no one answered the phone, we had to go downstairs to the lobby to ask for one more set of towels. This was a bit frustrating.

The location was perfect and the room upgrade ( river view) was reasonable. The front desk service staff and concierge were very prompt and helpful.

Room service was nominal and very slow- I don’t eat breakfast except for coffee and they don’t serve breakfast a la carte in dining room - I wasn’t going to pay $50 for a coffee. I weigh 124lbs/ 56 kilos and when I set on room chair it collapsed under me - the leg totally broken. The housekeeper response was - “it’s old.”The door to the closet was unhinged and nobody came to fix it upon request.

We stayed in the suit room as it was a very short stay and we wanted to feel the city and history. Location of the hotel was extremely good just beside the bridge, and we could see the full view all nearly all historical places across the river just across our full window. The room was designed with a complete window at river side showing all to us. It was incredible; nearly all night we were at the window viewing outside until all lights disappear. The room was very large, bedroom was so large and my son stayed in the main room at sofa opened for him and he was very happy seeing everything at his bed. My son and husband used fitness center and were happy. I shared a night view from our window which was amazing.

"Horizontal bar at fitness center was too close to ceiling that anyone can have an injury at head" my son claims. Other than this all was too good.

The location was fantastic. Hotel was clean and rooms were comfortable. Hotel offered private transportation to the airport at a reasonable price. We left for a very early flight so this service was helpful and appreciated.

The pool should be for adults only. It’s very small and located in a very serene spa area. There’s absolutely no reason for small children and or teenagers to be there. I believe hotels need to take a stand on this. The hotel was having major work done on elevators during the day. This was very annoying because we were not informed prior to booking.

Excellent location, room with Danube view., helpful staff, cleanliness. It was my mom's birthday and we found in the room a bottle of champagne, a cake and a birthday note.

Only one thing: we stayed 3 nights. I booked only the room, without breakfast, as we had the departure very early in the morning of the last day, so we couldn't have breakfast that morning. But, the second morning I wanted us to have breakfast there, in the hotel. The cost was too high, in my opinion: 37 euros per person. (The normal price if you book in advance for all days of your stay is 20 euros.)

The hotel itself is remarkable. Bed was comfortable. Loved that the room had a coffee machine. Closet size was nice. Liked the stocked mini-refrigator. AC worked nicely. I was able to lay my suitcases on the window sill due to the window seat, however a cushion would have been a nice addition. I enjoyed a foot massage, though it was pricey. The gym is amazing.

The staff seemed somber, barely smiled. The room size was sufficient. Given how beautiful the hotel is, I was disappointed in the room size, it was small, I have the same response for the bathroom. The counter space and size was disappointing. The breakfast buffet is way over-priced
