perfect location! your making a mistake by not staying here! We were able to walk EVERYWHERE to all the main attractions. Beautiful views from this hotel. Made Budapest extra special. I’m on the Viking Longship at port and I miss the Marriott!

A comfortable, upmarket hotel on the banks of the Danube with fantastic views of Buda Castle - and well located to easily visit all of Budapest's amazing sights. Breakfast was fantastic, and the staff friendly and professional.

When paying more than $300NZ each per night (we splashed out) for a hotel, I didn't think I should have to go downstairs to ask for the teabags housecleaning neglected to replace (I tried phoning reception, but no response . . . ). Checkout time was not until 11am yet when we returned from breakfast at 10am we discovered housecleaning resetting the room already - this was most inconvenient . . .

the property was perfect it was in the center of everything. all the beautiful landmarks and restaurants and shopping this is the place to stay. the rooms were super comfy and we stayed in the executive suite so the room was huge with a balcony towards all the views. bed was great shower as well. the hotel is fantastic.

well first I didn’t like the he fact that you’re in the executive suite I think the mini bar should be free but it’s not. second in the minibar was coconut water which when I shook some water was out and I opened took a sip and it was rotten that was horrible. but the management apologized and sent me ten bottles of coconut water which was pretty nice. and last when I checked in we paid for everything and when I came to do a checkout there was a lady who said I didn’t pay for the entire room there was city tax and all. but it wasn’t true we already paid and was confirmed that we paid she wasn’t experienced and very very rude but when the manager came he made it clear to her that she was wrong. so all in all these minor things are the only things I didn’t like but handled quick and well.

- Limited parking options, small garage and even smaller outside parking - if you get side view of the river, it really depends which side of the hotel you’re at. You can have a wonderful view towards the castle but you can also be looking in the other direction, over roofs sideways on river which is not that pretty. Last time I got a room like that and I did not like the view. But it was only for one night and it was not worth the hassle of going downstairs to change it. But if you can look towards the river and the castle it’s definitely a nicer view. - Price you pay per night can have significant variations depending on time of the year/week/events. I visit Budapest often, book this place only when it has the proper value. If they’re asking too much, I book somewhere else.

This hotel really surprised me. I never give ten stars. The staff were absolutely amazing. The view out my window was terrific. The food was delicious. My housekeeper was the best, I felt like I had a secret friend with her attention to detail while at the same time taking care not to invade my privacy. There is a window seat that I loved sitting at in the evening, watching the city lights get brighter as the sky got darker. The location is perfect for shopping behind the hotel, or for walking over to the Buda Castle. The Chain bridge was closed to pedestrians so the loop down to the bridge past the Parliament, across up to the Fisherman's Bastion, and back down to the white bridge was six miles, including meandering around the Fisherman's Bastion.

The room was very dry. I put a wet towel on the air vent at night and it helped.

View is great as always. This is my favorite hotel in the Hungary. M-Lounge is definitely worth and I liked the drinks and meals. I didn't have to visit any restaurant during my one day trip. M-Lounge and breakfasts are fantastic.

I don't like bathtubes. I've been in this hotel many times. I enjoy the showers in other rooms. These bath tubes are really uncomfortable and quite random. I was thinking that I picked the room with shower.

Great location, staff really friendly, nothing too much trouble. There was a problem with room service one morning, however, they corrected the problem immediately and apologised on several occasions. Mistakes happen, however, I judge a hotel on how it overcomes problems, excellent in the way they responded. . Breakfast buffet style great selection. Lovely roof top bar. Concierge service were amazing. Would definitely go back. The occasions was for my wife's birthday hotel good not do enough.

We left our Danube Cruise ship and arrived at the hotel at 10:15, expecting to have to just leave our luggage until the mid-afternoon check in. Upon arrival, there were new cruise passengers all lined up and we expected quite a wait to check in. However, this was not the case and we were processed within a few minutes. We were exceptionally happy that we had access to our room immediately, possibly because we booked an expensive room overlooking the Danube. There were 3 lifts, so no delay in getting to our room on the 8th floor, which was away from the lifts and very quiet. It was spacious and had large windows facing the Fort on the Buda side of the Danube. This was spectacular at night. There was not a lot of wardrobe space in the room, but this was not an issue. There was a minibar and complimentary bottles of water, replenished daily. The lighting was good, especially when compared to most hotels these days. The bed was large and comfortable, and there was a large window seat to take advantage of the views. On the 9th floor there is an outside (and inside) Terrace Bar with probably the best night time views of the Danube. Staff are happy to let guests visit and take photos during quiet periods. The M Lounge on the ground floor is exclusively for guests who have access via their rooms or privilege status. There are snacks, with Tea, Coffee and soft drinks. But, from 17:30 to 21:30 there is a wide variety of food and alcoholic drinks. This is included for those mentioned above, but 100 € for others. The Parliament building is around 20 minutes walk away and shops are just around the corner. Whilst we were there, National Team Footballers & MTV Concert Artists were also staying at the hotel. We will be going on a Budapest to Bucharest Cruise in the near future and will definitely be staying here again.

Amazing view. Perfect location. Professional service in reception (a bit weak in the restaurant). We received a discount for sounds from the disco parties on the 2nd and 9th floors. Nice breakfast, good parking place. Good lounge zone. And again - panorama view to the river - it's amazing :)

We used to think about Mariott as a business hotel. It was strange to hear disco parties here late at night. We received discount for such discomfort, but it's better to keep business level :)

Lots of choice at breakfast. Great location.

Attention to detail lacking. No teabags or milk in room on arrival and then cleaner removed the teabags we did get the next day. Batteries in TV remote needed replacing. Empty drinks can in fridge.
