- Located about an 11-minute walk from the main bus terminal, which is great because this is where the airport bus drops off and picks up people. - My room (#207) was spotless, and the windows let in a lot of natural light. Also, having a sink and mirror in the room was great. - Each floor has a bathroom, so if the one on your floor is occupied, you can go to another bathroom. However, I never had to wait, and they were always kept clean and tidy - so was the kitchen. I would stay here again without hesitation.
I arrived late at night, and the door code to my room was wrong. I had to call the host to get the correct door code. Although the host's number wasn't on WhatsApp, I have a local SIM that allows me to call locally. However, if I didn't have a local SIM, I would've been stuck outside. The host should register their number on WhatsApp because it's free, and it'll allow anyone to call just in case they face the same issue late at night.

We stayed in a fantastic location that offered easy access to local attractions. The staff/owner was really accommodating and friendly, always ready to assist with a warm smile. Our room, equipped with a kitchen, provided us with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It truly felt like a home away from home, allowing us to enjoy our time with all the conveniences within reach. Thank you!
There is nothing that cannot be solved, but just more cleaning materials in the kitchen would have been nice so we could have cleaned more of our kitchen before we left! For example, extra soap, scrubs, or kitchen towels.

Our first overnight stay on this trip to Iceland. Very welcoming and super nice hosts, a "public secret" 5 e breakfast for guests (coffee & toast & cereal, enough to get you going on the road), quiet room with good bed and functional bathroom en suite. Free parking very easy close by/on the streets. Short walk to Halgrimskirkja & the main street, swimming hall close by as well.
Our room was in another building than the reception and breakfast room. Not a problem for us, but maybe good to know that the guesthouse is divided in two this way.

Great location. Located centrally, 10mins from both the city center and the bus hostel terminal ( where the airport bus direct stops). Bus stop 9, which is one of the tour pick up location is also a 10mins walk away down a straight road. Well stocked kitchen facilities and fridges to keep your food as eating out is expensive in Iceland. You would have to get the groceries from town. Bonus, one of the big grocery chain in Iceland is about 15 mins walk away. Large, comfortable common dining areas with free around the clock coffee and teas. Comfortable and spacious shower with spaces to put your clothes so that it does not get wet.
The wash basin in the room is leaking although they have placed a waste paper basket underneath it to watch the dripping water. Can get noisy from the noises coming from the kitchen and common dining room. Although there is a door between those areas and the corridor leading to the rooms with signs to keep it close, unfortunately, people kept leaving it open. While this is no fault of the guesthouse, perhaps installing an overhead door closer that closes the door automatically will be good.

Easy to get to from central Reykjavik, only a few minutes walk from Hallgrimskirkja and The BSI busterminal that for instance have the airport buses. I got a nice big room with lots of space, there were toilets and showers in the coridor, but with easy access from the room and nice comfort, and there were kitchen and common room where I could eat my food, and also prepare my own meals and keep ingrediences in the fridge. Everything for way cheeper price than all other alternatives. Check in went smoothly too. I have cero complaints, and I had a great stay. Do recommend.

The location was great, less than 10 minutes walking to the main church, and about 12 minutes from the main downtown center. Having a kitchen with cooking equipment was a huge game changer and made this place really great--- they have refrigerators for personal items storage in the kitchen, so we were able to go shopping and cook/prepare food throughout the week. The beds were really comfortable and during the whole week we only had to wait for a shower once, and just used a shower on a different floor instead.
We stayed for 5 nights and could have used an extra towel, or the option to change our old town for a new one every two days or so. The lighting in the room wasn't great.

The guesthouse is located close to the 2 main bus stations connecting Reykjavik to the Airport and Blue Lagoon. Staff is friendly and nice. Rooms are ok and the toilets provide natural spring water both cold and hot. Breakfast is available for a fee, but it is ok (bread, cheese, butter, jam), while water and tea/coffee are available throughout the day.
Rooms are pretty small, but this is ok considering that it is only a guesthouse. The walls are pretty thin too. The bathroom could be improved regarding the shower area.

Owner/manager guy who checked me in was extremely friendly and helpful Price is fantastic, especially for Iceland Location is fantastic too, less than a 10 minute walk from the BSI Bus Station and the city centre (also just a couple of minutes away from the nearest bus stops) Room was clean and the bed extremely comfortable Even though the bathrooms were shared, the bedroom had a sink, which I found very convenient and handy Temperature in the bedroom was fine and easily controlled by a radiator dial Even though I didn't use it, there was a kitchen that provided cooking facilities and also free tea and coffee
There were four power outlets in the room, however two of them were located in awkward places (one right next to the sink and the other four feet above the floor with no surface beneath to place appliance) which rendered them pretty much useless and wasted

There was good communication from the property with clear instructions about how to check in and a friendly response to my questions. Check in is self service, although there was a very friendly older gent around when I arrived. The room was simple but comfortable and cozy. There is a kitchen upstairs with some microwaves, hobs and handily dishwashers. Across the hall a breakfast room offers bean to cup coffee, plus a wide variety of teas and hot chocolate. That is all free, you can buy breakfast for 5 EUROS, which offered cereals and toast. For day tours and airport transfers, the two main hubs (BSI and Bus Hostel) are both a short walk, whereas most properties require (paid for) feeder shuttles that are expensive and take time. So that aspect is a bonus. You can also park nearby for free, which is rare for Reykjavik properties.
Igdlo is located in a residential area, and is a good ten to fifteen minute walk downtown, which if you cut through via the Hallgrímskirkja church is slightly hilly. Be conscious of this in poor weather or if you are less mobile than average. I stayed in the main building, economy rooms are in a different building, so I can't offer any comment about those.
