December 2024
I stayed here on 2 separate nights - at the beginning and end of my stay in Iceland. I had a basement room one night, then a second-floor room the other night. I chose Snorri's because it's on a main road and is within walking distance (for me) of both the city centre and the bus terminal. I didn't have contact with any staff, though I didn't need any assistance. Check-in was straightforward, both rooms were cosy (in December) and the shared facilities were clean and readily available. I would definitely stay here again. Solo female traveller staying in a single room.

I believe this accommodation offers great value for money! The room was clean and well-maintained, and the location was very close to the city center, making it convenient for both sightseeing and shopping. Additionally, it was near the meeting points for tour groups, which was a huge plus. Although we encountered a few minor issues, such as a power outage while using the hairdryer (which also temporarily affected the refrigerator), the staff responded promptly and efficiently to resolve the problem. When I requested an extra blanket due to the cold weather, they provided one immediately, which I really appreciated. The kitchen was well-equipped, and there was also a restaurant and a lounge area with sofas for guests to relax. Overall, I really loved my stay here and would highly recommend this accommodation!

I love this guesthouse. Is the second time I stay here and they always help you a lot. You never know the schedule of the flights and sometimes you arrive too early or too late. But they make it possible for me to come sooner. I write them so many times with so many questions that I feel bad for bothering them so much but they always answered me immediately and in a very kind and helpful way. They always helps me with everything and I am very grateful for that. That’s something I always appreciate when I am traveling, specially when you are traveling alone. Traveling alone is scary and makes me so nervous so having this experience make it so much better. Also the room was amazing, the price for two nights was very good. What I love the most is the bed is super comfy and I love that you have also a blanket on top of the cover. I like the fact that you can use the kitchen and is big and well equipped. I had a bathroom next to my door and showers to the other side and I never hear anything, it was almost for me alone. Is also very close to the Main Street and bus stops. They also let me leave my luggage there after my check out. I really enjoy my stayed and I am really grateful.

The location was really good, you could easily walk everywhere. My room was cosy and the bed totally comfy to sleep in. There was a nespresso machine and the room had a small fridge. Breakfast was simple, but okay. Even though the guesthouse was next to a bigger street, the noise level was fine and I could sleep well.
The shared bathroom was tiny. Some people might have issues considering the size. But at least it was always clean. If you have people staying for more than a couple of nights, it might be nice if you cleaned the room at least once in between. It was a bit weird that you never really saw any of the people working there except at breakfast.

Really convenient location. Walking distance to both bus terminals. The swimming pool is practically across the street. The harbour is like five or ten minutes away. Plenty of coffee shops in the vicinity. I got a cozy attic room with a beautiful Rowan tree outside the window. I visited at the beginning of September. Very quiet. Clean. Plenty of towels. Really appreciated the fact that there was a bathrobe and that the bed linen and towels didn’t smell of any laundry detergents. I didn’t have the breakfast option. If you don’t either make sure you leave ahead of time as some places can be busy if you want to sit in. The room had a coffee maker but I didn’t use it.

My bedroom, although not having a wash basin was warm, very clean and cosy. The loo and washing facilities nearby were very clean. The landing areas, stairs, hallway and lounge were all carpeted, very homely and cosy. The WiFi was excellent and the very nice breakfast room was comfortable and airy and the wonderful breakfast each morning was plentiful and with a great variety of delicious food and drinks. The ladies who worked hard to provide our breakfasts and clear the dishes afterwards were always very friendly and helpful. There is a very nice-looking garden at the back of Snorri's Guesthouse and it was also very nice to see the welcoming light in the porch-way always being on. A big Thank You to everyone!
Can't think of anything at the moment.

Great location, walking distance from the city center . Check in was very convenient, Pin code for the main entrance and key waiting in the door. We had a room with private bathroom - the room was big enough for us (2 adults and 1 teen) , nicely decorated, very cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Bathrobes were provided, which was a very nice touch and made the experience so much more special. Very cozy beds. There is a fridge in the room and a coffee machine and plenty of coffee pods offered which, again, I found it very nice. Most of the accommodations offer 1 coffee pod a day, if you are lucky to even get that. Also, extra coffee available in the shared kitchen, if you really need it. Nice breakfast offered every morning. Parking is on the street, around the house, we did not have a problem finding a spot, even if it was a bit further down the street. Overall, we were very pleasantly surprised.

It was clean and comfortable. Also quiet and close to the centre of town. the cleaning staff were very helpful in letting me know where to leave my bag. I hadn't realised there was a kitchen. But handy next time. The toilet and shower were just next door to my room - so very convenient. I phoned the office and was happy with the quick response.
It was my fault but i couldn't get in when i arrived. I had not realised there would be no staff and i had a door entry code. Luckily another client helped me. I have never stayed in a hotel with no reception staff. Once i knew the system though it was ok The building didn't look as good from the outside as it did inside. No problem though. I like small family hotels.

Great location not far from the bus station or the city centre, everything you need for a self guided stay. Very much a hands off experience, didn't encounter any staff the entire time.
The place was a little bit tired, but nothing that would impact the stays. Getting into the shower was quite narrow, you can hear the raid crossing outside if you have the window open, although not majorly intrusive. Very much a hands off experience, didn't encounter any staff the entire time.

Clean and comfortable single room, with included a coffee machine, sink, tv and fridge. The TV had English speaking channels connected which was a lovely touch. I happened to be right next to the bathroom, which was very convenient. Bathroom was shared but spotlessly clean. Never had to wait for the bathroom, nor did I hear anyone using it during my stay. I only stayed one night and never had the chance to use it, but the full kitchen and dining area downstairs looked to be well kept and easily accessible.
The road noise was very noticeable, however with earplugs for sleeping I hardly noticed it. Cannot be avoided due to location of the property.
