Great location in Jaipur. We arrived after dinner our first night and a staff member made us sandwiches which was nice. They even provided a kite if we wanted to fly one. Nice rooftop for seeing the city. They had a fire to sit around. We were there for New Year's Eve and enjoyed watching fireworks. Breakfast was very good. We bought something in the city that was delivered when we were not at the hotel. The hotel reception held onto it for us and helped us pay the carrier.
It was a nice place to stay. The wifi did not work easily and when we asked for help, one of the reception people seemed a little grumpy when helping us. There wasn't always someone in the reception which was a little inconvenient when we needed something or when checking in/out. We would still stay again and recommend it.

This is a very attractive haveli set in good sized grounds, located within walking distance of the Pink City (but we used their car!). The room was nicely furnished and comfortable. The food and service were both good. We had lost a day due to fog stopping flights out of Delhi but they very kindly didn't charge us for the night we failed to show. The hotel driver, who picked us up from the airport and took us to Amber and the Pink City was very helpful.
The images on Booking feature the rooftop terrace but this was not open, the only hotel in our two week trip that had closed its rooftop. Some staff were more welcoming than others. Getting information was sometimes difficult - on the day we left there was no-one at Reception when we were due to leave and no-one to tell us what was happening.

Good location in the pink city, authentic residential area. Loved the rooftop terrace with views of the hills & a fort & great for watching all the kite flying & listening to all the sounds of prayers & general living ! Good very good. Man at reception not very friendly, but lady overseeing food ran a tight ship & was very helpful. rest of staff also very nice .
A bit noisy at night but think that was because it's wedding season & really haven't found anywhere in India that isn't noisy !! Other than the rooftop terrace hasn't been my favourite stay in india.

This is a wonderful place to stay. The neighbourhood is away from other hotels and tourist places, but deep in old Jaipur. The rooftop gives a great view of the city, of Nahargagh Fort, and of the kite flying every evening. It's a maze-like old haveli, beautifully restored by the family. Excellent food every morning, and don't miss the evening meals too.
Not much. One of the staff was a bit grumpy and bossy - trying to tell us which restaurants we should eat at - but more than made up for by others who were warm, welcoming and helpful.

A fantastic choice, highly recommended, inside the Pink City in a very central location (you can reach the City Palace or Hawa Mahal on foot in 10/15 min). The rooms are spacious; fantastic the ones at the last floor: they share a little private terrace very particular. The rooftop is magnificent: the view over the city and the lights are fascinating. You can have dinner or lunch in a marvellous atmosphere. Very good even the breakfast serviced in a beautiful room. The courtyard is an oasis of calm after the noise of the streets.
Maybe the bathroom supplies but it is not a crucial point. In the end everything was ok.

The property is beautiful. owned by the same family since they built it in the 1850s. A very special place to stay. The rooms were large and comfortable and felt like you were in a movie. The atrium and rooftop terrace were amazing. The property looks directly onto Nahargarh Fort. You can see it and watch the dozens of kites flying every day from the roof terrace. The roof terrace is a great place to watch local life going on around the adjoining roofs. Dinner is served every night on the roof terrace. The food was amazing. Breakfast was also very good. The property’s gardens have lots of birds and chipmunks in the trees. A lovely cool place to relax. The Haveli is in the perfect location in the old town and so interesting to walk the streets and speak to the local people who were all lovely to us. you can walk to Nahargarh Fort from the Haveli. Finally, the owners were very kind and attentive and made the stay very smooth.
The plumbing is generally very good but we had some issues with getting the hot water to work in one of the rooms. It’s not a complaint, but some of the ceiling lintels are quite low and I hit my head several times in the bathroom and the bedroom, but you get used to stooping after the first two or three bumps!

This property was listed on BBC series The Marigold Hotel. When I saw it on Booking.com I was surprised, though there were other better ones available we choose this one instead. The food was really tasty both during breakfast and dinner. Also, can’t fault the staff for their politeness and attention to detail.
The hotel manager and Tips system - I was told not to tip the staff individually which I liked however when the manager said the pot is shared yearly. I wasn’t impressed by it. It begs the question of transparency and accountability. The staff are adults so they do know how to manage their finances. I hope with this critical review there is a shift in their tips policy.

Beautiful heritage property and felt like a haven after the busy streets of Jaipur. The couple who own the property were lovely and came to oversee that all was well during meal times and the lady of the house gave us great advice on restaurants etc which we really appreciated. Staff were really helpful. Food was delicious, plentiful and good value - both breakfast and evening meal. Our room was comfortable, bathroom very spacious, good sized fridge and they kindly provided a hairdryer also. Overall a lovely stay.

The building is beautiful, the staff are very kind and the food is delicious. The location of the Haveli in a somewhat residential area close to the centre of the city gives it an authentic feel - during my stay I got to witness a wedding procession passing by the front gate, which was a wonderful spectacle and a real privilege to see. Even though the surrounding area is bustling, the inside of the Haveli is an oasis of calm. There are really wonderful views of the city from the rooftop (where there is a lovely seating area), especially in the morning and evening. The food is really delicious - I’d very much recommend getting dinner there as well as breakfast.

What a wonderful hotel! Right in the old city, but peaceful, Khatu Haveli is a perfect location. Room was lovely, and we particularly loved going up onto the rooftop at sunset for a beer and to watch the hundreds of kites flying all over the city. The food was delicious and the staff wonderful. It was lovely to be greeted by the owners each evening at dinner. We even managed to get some laundry done!
There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like - it was perfect!
