Really lovely room and great dining options. Staff were all really welcoming and attentive.

Only downside was that a lot of the facilities were closed due to renovations (pool, spa, gym) This wasn't obvious at the time of booking so was quite disappointing but we still had a lovely stay

Very comfortable room, hotel was very clean, lovely ambience in lounge and restaurant. We appreciated the early check-in and the happy hour - thank you to Muskan, Namira and Anjali for their help and attention in the lounge. We were very pleased with the amazing breakfast buffet which catered to variety of palates. The entire hotel team was professional, welcoming, friendly and eager to make our stay enjoyable. They are great representatives of the Shangri La brand. The hotel is a well kept oasis of calm especially after a busy day of sightseeing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very clean property that goes above and beyond for their guests. I was working UK hours and they accommodated extremely well and had good space for those visiting on business. I would recommend the horizon club as they had a vast range of canapés and also a designated time for tea and cocktail hour. The view from our room allowed us to see India gate and the location was superb and close to all the main sites and markets in Delhi. It is also walking distance from Bangla Sahib Gurdwara which is outstanding and worth a visit

Bathroom: brand new, perfectly equipped, very modern The inside is elegant, the restaurants are elegant and with a rich menu There is a wonderful outdoor bar Reception desk: excellent staff I appreciated the offer of a room breakfast or a package breakfast because we had a very early departure, before the official breakfast opening time The location is very good

The pool could have been better: there are not many sunbeds, at least not enough and,in my opinion, the staff could be more caring about people who come and go, leaving their towels on the sunbeds without using them anymore

Our stay was fantastic! The service was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The highlight for us was the exceptional cleanliness of the rooms, which made our stay all the more comfortable. A special thanks to Omprakash, the room maid, whose personal touch and warm demeanor added so much to our experience. His attention to detail and friendliness truly made us feel at home. Thank you to the entire team for a wonderful stay—we can’t wait to return!

Stayed at the property for a day. The property is centrally located and has several landmarks (Central Vista, India Gate, National Museum, etc.) nearby. Had the opportunity to host a friend for a great dinner at Sorrento (Italian restaurant at the property). Both of us especially enjoyed the dessert taster containing an assortment of the available desserts which were the best part of the meal. The breakfast spread the next morning was equally amazing. Since my stay was short, I felt the place was great, no complaints!

Sorrento offered overall great food except for the pizza which both of us felt was subpar considering the four course dinner for 2 was expensive. I personally feel Jamie Oliver's/Pizza Express offers much better for less. Coming back to the stay, there was an initial miscommunication regarding the airport drop which could have been avoided. Secondly, the welcome drink was brought only after I asked whether there was any such thing. Apart from the above, I have very little to complain about.

We stayed in January 2024 (father and daughter). Great modern hotel in a central location. Hotel security was at a high level. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food was great.

Perhaps this is a very particular American tourist complaint, but others may appreciate knowing this before arrival. I was very surprised that they did not have any Indian domestic beer available anywhere in the hotel. For my last two nights in India, I would have liked to enjoy an Indian made beer. They only offered 3 choices: cheap American/Mexican/Dutch beer (Budweiser, Corona, Amstel Light). I would expect a 5 star hotel to have a much better beer selection. Everything else was top notch. Fortunately, a staff member told me where to find a wine/beer shop which turned into a fun adventure walking through the city one evening. He helped me with directions. Thank you sir!

Staff were very welcoming and allowed us to check-in early. They also gave us a complimentary upgrade which was nice (although this came after we rejected paying for an upgrade which makes me think it perhaps suited them to give us one). The staff at breakfast and at the entrance to the hotel were very kind and courteous.

I think it’s perhaps a bit overpriced compared to other hotels in the area and the experience - especially now when there’s no gym or pool etc. The food is also quite overpriced.

I was not well and I had little fruits and little hummus from the buffet and also ordered coke and dal khichdi … however ur staff asked me not to have anything from the buffet… in properties like TAJ , they never say no to guests especially when alacarte has been ordered… we spend lakhs of rupees and stay almost 6-7 times a year in the hotel .. it’s totally the hotels discretion but for a guest to be satisfied u should never say a no..

The breakfast at the hotel was exceptionally good, and the Italian restaurant impressed with its excellent service and high-quality food, making for some delightful dining experiences during my stay.

Conversely, the Asian/Chinese restaurant did not meet expectations due to its cold food and poor service. Additionally, the lack of access to the rooftop lounge/bar without paying an extra fee of 3,000 rupees daily was a letdown, especially since the skyview is prominently advertised and should logically be included in the already high cost of the stay.
