Great location right on the beach, away from the busier areas of the island which we enjoyed. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. They have their own boat to take you out for private snorkeling tours which was again great value for money and right on your doorstep.

Our room was a little too close to where the live music was being played. The live musician was awesome, but I’m often early to bed so was unable to sleep until it finished around 10:30pm both nights. Not necessarily a bad thing just something to be aware of!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Pelangi Cottages. It had a great breakfast, we especially enjoyed the avocado toast! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is great for a laid back relaxing beach holiday. This time in the evening often a bit of rain, so we did not see the usual spectacular sunsets except for just one night. They have a good menu with Turkish influences and of course fresh fish. Many other good places nearby only adds to the attraction. With turtle point nearby you can see turtles grazing and the corals at outer reef are nice. Bit of a swim to get there. Some evenings they had very good live music to top off the experience :)

The staff was excellent, cottages were as pictured and quite clean for being right next to the beach, breakfast was fantastic! The food options and drinks offered at the restaurant throughout the day were delicious. The area is kid friendly with a very clean beach, kind staff, welcoming owners, and beautiful surroundings. We love seeing the improvements that the owners and staff are continuously working towards- can't wait to see what it looks like in a few years! It was well worth the arranged Lombok airport pick up that brought us directly to the boat that goes to Pelangi. Tip, don't wear long jeans for that transport because you'll need to go a bit into the water. We had messaged a few days prior to our arrival to arrange the transport. The optional adventures, such as the fishing trip we took, are so nice to have on site. We caught a few small fish but loved the experience and attempt. There are ATMs on the island, but come with cash because it is a walk, we found a few to not like our cards, or there could be issues (out of money, no power, etc). Just to make arrival more comfortable, get cash at the airport or before getting to the island. Some places take card, but there is a small fee. Restaurants surrounding Pelangi are delicious. There are souvenir stands around and locals walking around selling items as well. The island can be walked across in 20-30 minutes, but there are bikes, electric scooters, and small horse/carts to help with various transport needs. You won't be disappointed with this accommodation- we highly recommend it!

We should have stayed more than a week! Beds were not our preference of comfort, but that's totally just our personal preference.

Friendly and helpful staff. Right on the beach - and a clean, lovely beach too. The swings are a nice touch, and a plus as fish swim around the cement blocks in the water. Lovely cottages, gorgeous, unique, clean and comfortable. Excellent restaurant location, with good live music on a regular basis. The menu offers Turkish food, which is nice, and there are several other restaurant options nearby. Bicycle rental not far, and a great way to explore the island. The hotel has a private boat service for day excursions - we went fishing and snorkeling and it was really nice!

First and foremost the staff. The team makes you feel at home and so very welcome. It really makes a big difference. The sunset view is awesome, it’s very chill and right on the beach. Some evenings a band is playing and it’s really fun to sing along and dance. It’s not a loud place, though. Perfect if you just want to relax.

It’s not that I didn’t like the property but it’s a little bit tired and could use a little update. So don’t expect a luxury experience, which I think is also not justified as it is a 3 star place. It’s got everything you need and is clean, but since it’s directly on the beach there will be little ants in the bathroom - no big deal but just something you need to be aware of especially if you are a bit fussy. The food in the restaurant is ok, but not amazing. You go there for the vibes. :)

Staff was lovely, owners were fantastic - it felt like one big happy and very helpful family! ❤️ Nice, cozy and quiet rooms, very clean! Good food and lovely live music on some evenings! I got sick while staying there (not due to their food), and everybody took such good care of me. They even checked in on me during the night, because I was worried of sleeping alone. They brought me fluids and food. I felt very safe here as a female solo traveller! Thank you for everything! 🥹

I really enjoyed my stay at Pelangi bungalows. The owners and staff are so lovely and helpful. My bungalow was cute and comfortable. The location is right on the beach, and at low tide, it was a bonus having the lovely swimming pool.

The bathroom could have been cleaner in general - mould was apparent in grouting particularly on the shower wall and in all of the corners of the bathroom, so more attention to detail is required. The basin plug was really dirty and broken. The “vanity” was rickety and old. The restaurant service is definitely on island time ie : slow. The property is owned by Turkish people, so the restaurant menu includes some great Turkish meals, but unfortunately does not offer the option of Indonesian meals. Despite these points, I still very much enjoyed my time there.

A great stay with wonderful staff that really took good care of us. The owners helped us arrange everything from birthday celebration to transport to Lombok. The Island was really nice with no cars, you could walk around the island in 40 minutes. The Hotel also had electrical scooters and bicycles for rent. The hotels boat took us out snorkeling early in the morning. I sincerely appreciated the effort everybody at the hotel made for us. Will definitely stay here again if I get a chance.

Wonderful place, right on the beach. It’s a bit secluded in the north which is perfect because it’s not too noisy around there, but there are still some great restaurants like the Italian Restaurant next door and other places nearby. Anyway the island is small so you don’t need to go far. You can also rent bikes for not too much and they offer laundry service for a reasonable price. The staff were super lovely. We did a snorkel tour arranged through the staff which was wonderful and cheap. The starting point is just a few minutes walk around the corner near turtle beach. And you’re almost guaranteed to see turtles on the snorkel tour. There’s also a scuba diving place nearby that’s excellent.

The breakfast is probably the worst thing about the place, but most breakfast on Bali is pretty bad, and in comparison this breakfast was nice and at least had different (more Mediterranean) options. One thing that might be weird is that the bathroom is outside. There’s still walls for privacy but there’s no roof over your head, so if it’s raining or super hot you may be uncomfortable or sweaty. It was strange at first but we got it used to it and it was quite fun and different even if there were a few bugs coming to say hi.

One of my best stays during whole trip! Money and quality ratio is very good. Overall feeling - 18 out of 10 I stayed 3 nights and during it I become feel like a family member. Never experienced such a connection in a hotel. Location The location of a facility for me was very good. It is located beachfront on the side of an island where you can admire best sunsets. Maybe you have to cary your backpack from harbour first and last day, but it is wort it. Facilities It is a 3 star hotel not 5. So maybe you can miss some luxury facilities, but this place is for enjoying a vibe of Gili so it has everything to make you happy. Helpful staff, beachfront with free sunbeds and umbrellas, restaurant with a bar, pool, events, services (loundry, snorkling). Specials As a special I would mention a STAFF here. They have the vibe! And its not an official show of of trained service its like a family where everyone has its own responsibility and enjoy a job they do. There are also OWNERS, a great smart and helpfull family, which stay all the time all around, they take care of every guest need and make this place even more special with adding their own twist to a place. As specials I would also mention a possibility to jave a PRIVATE BOAT ride for snorkling. Great guide which show me the nice places for snorkling including swimming with a turtles. Great opportunity to switch off the touristic way of this activity. EVENTS. For my taste best live music events. They happen every second day. Best because of a quality of singers and music. And everything happens directly on a beach. You can relax on a beanie chair, explore near a dining table or dance in front of stage. Strong recomendations!
