Everything was perfect! Koho Air is by far the nicest hotel on the island, at least from what we saw when walking around. The place is absolutely beautiful, both the rooms and common areas, swimming pools etc. The staff is super friendly and attentive and makes you feel very welcome. The location is perfect too, 5min walk from the harbor and all the beaches, restaurants etc. are nearby. Food is good and I also had a massage which was amazing. We rented bikes for a day and did a boat tour / snorkeling trip organized by the hotel.

If you are traveling alone, it is better not to include the breakfast when booking the room. The price for one person is cheaper when paid on the spot at the hotel. The breakfast was good but there were almost no options for me since I can’t eat eggs. The staff was however very flexible and found a solution. Thank you!

We liked absolutely everything about this hotel! It is a gem, just 150m from the beach and yet totally secluded and quiet. The place is beautiful and has a sense of calm and peace. The rooms were so clean and tastefully decorated. We loved the look and feel of this place, the staff was amazingly welcoming and yet very discreet, and breakfast was delicious! Bear in mind that a lot of hotels in the Gili islands have suffered immensely from COVID. A lot of hotels have gone bust and the ones that have stayed open are struggling. But Koko Air has not only survived, it has managed to keep everything immaculate. It's a small paradise on earth!

I had the best stay of my trip at the Koho Air! They booked my transfer from the airport which was totally seamless - taxi and then speedboat to the island. The staff were all incredibly friendly, the food was delicious and the room was great. Daily cleaning service and nice products in the bathroom. Ideal location being very close to the port but down a backroad so nice and quiet. Lots of great restaurants and cafes nearby. I would recommend this place to anyone! Wish I could have stayed for longer. Thanks so much :)

No complaints - it was all amazing!

We booked 3 nights and ended up staying 6! The hotel is nice and close to the harbour, but you’d never know it! It’s quiet, relaxing with wonderful staff that cant do enough for you! They are all so friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and everything is new. The bathrooms are open with great shower pressure! The pool area is very tranquil, perfect for relaxing in the sun or chilling out with a book. We would definitely recommend hiring bikes to get around, there are a few bits of the island that have sandy sections of road, but they really help you explore the island and get the most out of your stay. Free 10 min massage included in your stay, delish brekkie. Close to restaurants and dive shops. Beautiful place and beautiful island!

My stay at Koho was great from finish to start! The staff greets you by your name and does so during your whole stay, which gives a very personal feeling. They have two pools which is nice in case you would like to take a swim in a more quiet place. On friday they had an amazing BBQ with lobster and different kind of skewers and sides. We could try some new cocktails which were very good too! It ended up being a very social evening mingling with some of the other guests. The rooms are very tidy and with all the comfort you need. The hotel is close to the beach and the main street which makes it a great hub for a full Gili Air experience. During my weeks stay I had some special requests which the staff always fixed immediately. When back at Gili Air I know where I will stay again! Thanks team Koho Air!

We had a warm welcome and were given a cold flannel and an icy drink. The resort itself is bright, beautifully maintained and very pretty. The staff are excellent. Every day the staff greeted us with good morning and never ever forgot our names. We loved them all. Marwah on the bar can speak countless languages and seems to have a perfect memory. Teach him a word or a phrase in ANY language and he will memorise and repeat it the next day - he should be a language teacher - the man is a genius! Usman is kindly and polite too and Yaya. Lovely fellas - the gardeners and cleaners are all wonderful and made our stay memorable. Such an excellent team. Rooms are kept immaculate, they even provided me with a kettle. The breakfasts and evening dinners are delicious too. Especially the beef rendang, the Mie goreng and the lemon Alfredo pasta. The pools are lovely. Great temperature and loads of loungers and chairs and again, everything was so so clean! Bike hire is very reasonable. 2 min walk from the beach and from the shops and local restaurants. We stayed there a week and it felt like home. We snorkelled off the beach and saw a turtle! Such a lovely island and such lovely people. Thank you for such a lovely stay.

I’m over the moon that I found the Koho Air. There are so many good things to say that I’ll try to summarise the absolute best: Rooms: They’re pristine. I could see the staff going into do maintenance each time a guest checked out. (I stayed in 2 rooms over 7 nights). There isn’t even a scuff on the walls. The linens smell so good and even the throw cushion covers are washed. The aircon is amazing and you need it. The bed was really comfortable with very big soft pillows. It was a nice touch to have charging sockets close to each side of the bed. Two sets of bamboo clothes hangers for wet towels/laundry. Bathroom: I don’t usually like outdoor bathrooms but I didn’t see one mosquito and I was there through the rain season. Beautiful smelling bathroom soaps and shampoo etc. Big white fluff towels and pool towels. Everything changed daily if you wish. Restaurant/pool: Exquisite. There was plenty of room for all guests around the pool. The breakfast deal was great value 100k IDR for food, hot drink and juice/smoothie (we booked room only). Wine cost very reasonable by glass and lunch was fabulous. Staff: So friendly and remembered our names. Attentive and kind, nothing was too much trouble. Other: Bike hire was the standard cost like around the rest of the island. The location was perfect, 3 mins from the boat dock. Very quiet (no rooster sounds). They don’t allow dogs in the island so no betting which was wonderful. I didn’t use the spa but it looked very pretty and they had lovely treatments on offer. Amazing stay and we will be back in a few months. Thank you everyone at The Koho Air for a perfect holiday.

I recently stayed at a beautiful and cozy Koho Air Hotel on Gili Air, and it exceeded all my expectations. The hotel is stunning, with well-maintained grounds and a relaxing atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and always available to help with anything we needed, making our stay truly enjoyable. The rooms were spacious and impeccably clean, with a charming open-air bathroom that added a unique touch to the experience. A delightful bonus was the presence of two adorable cats roaming the resort, adding a homey and welcoming feel.

Convenient location close to the harbour but still quiet. Nice Mediterranean-like style, very fresh. The central point of the hotel is the swimming pool with several seats and sunbeds around. The water was clear and inviting for swimming. There is a bar next to the pool. Breakfast was good, maybe the service was too slow. We didn't eat dinner nor lunch. There is also a SPA but I think it is overpriced for the quality of offered massage.

There was some ongoing renovation of the hotel which was mildly disturbing. I think it was a temporary activity

The layout of the rooms around the courtyard and pool is charming, it's a beautiful space to relax in, day and night, and very romantic. We noticed lots of guests chose to spend their evenings at the hotel because it's such a lovely space. Food and drinks by the pool were delicious (breakfast and mango smoothies especially) and all the big trees around were beautiful and provided much needed shade. The big pool floats were super comfy and we liked the wide range of seating round the pool. We loved hearing the geckos at night and seeing monitor lizards walking about the gardens. Staff were all really friendly, and we especially enjoyed getting to know Usman, Marwan and Yaya - they were lovely and looked after us very well. The spa area is really relaxing and I had an excellent head massage there, which was very reasonably priced.
