I recently stayed at a beautifully located hotel with breathtaking views. The standout feature was the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. When a tour company failed to pick me up, the hotel staff seamlessly arranged an alternative and even provided transport to the port for a similar excursion. The service was impeccable, and the meals were delicious. The cottage amenities were outstanding, offering a luxurious touch to the stay. I highly recommend this hotel for a fantastic getaway with top-notch service.

Beautiful location, away from town with great views of coast and islands. Very private. On site taxi service at reasonable cost. Great staff. Beautiful bamboo houses. One day we just admired the view.

Breakfast was very poor given this is a top of price range location. Processed bread and cheap jam. Kitchen area basically sink and kettle.

The staff were very friendly and did their job with a smile. They literally ran our luggage to our rooms, up those steep ladders - we were very grateful! The view was absolutely amazing! The shower and bathroom were very nice - but note that they are open to the woods around towards the roof, you might meet a bug of some sorts there. The "living room" area is a cozy area, but note that it's open to all, no doors.

Being on the hillside, it didn't come as a surprise that the stairs to our villa were many, but for some reason they felt difficult to climb - probably steeper than normal. I wouldn't recommend staying here to anyone with any knee problems or other issues climbing any stairs. The food was mediocre. Note that it's quite far to walk anywhere - you need to rely on their shuttle service (free once per day, and a small price for additional rides) or other driver services. The locks on the doors to the room are almost just for show - if anyone wanted to open the locked doors they'd simply need to a little shove. I would never leave anything valuable in the villa.

Staff were lovely and very helpful with driving us. The included breakfast was great and the rooms were beautiful with amazing views. There was also a few cats which live on the grounds of the hotel which were nice to see! I hope the hotel continues to look after them :)

Its more a short drive than a walk to the town as it is a very steep hill to get back to the hotel (although hotel are happy to drive you for a small fee). Be wary of the price of wine! We misread the menu and spent $200 on a very average bottle accidentally.

This was a real find! Situated just outside Labuan with spectacular views from the hillside villas over the bay. The hotel provides a taxi service to get you down into the town (you wouldn't want to walk it - the hills are very steep!) which was always available when we needed it (charged). Set in beautifully maintained grounds it has a small plunge pool with sun loungers and shade. Generous breakfast which is served in the room - well, technically on the terrace of the villa under the room which is on stilts. They have a limited but very tasty menu for lunch and dinner too. Staff are excellent - so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. They were particularly kind and attentive when one of our party was sick. The massages were excellent. Highly recommended for a great stay!

The only downside - although small - were all the steps up to the villa but we recognise this is unavoidable. Might be worth checking out in more detail if you have mobility issues.

We stayed for 1 night before and 2 nights after a 3 day live aboard boat trip to Komodo Island. The complimentary airport pick up and drop off worked very well and the villas are only 5 mins from the airport but with little airport noise. All the cottage are on a hillside with steep stairs everywhere. Thankfully the staff seem to carry heavy suitcases with ease. The breakfast of fresh fruit, juice, coffee, eggs and bacon was delivered to our cottage and the large private veranda under the cottage. They have an attached restaurant and room service. We had dinner one night, the menu was basic Indonesian and very tasty. The cottages are slightly outside the main town which meant they were quieter and Elang run their own taxi service for guests too and from Restaurants etc. at a cost of IRP50,000 per trip. everything can be paid by card. The air conditioning worked well, there are mosquito nets but we did not need to use them. The bed was comfortable. The shower was good, covered open air onto a large stone and pebbles. Plenty of hot water. No hairdryer due to the fire risk but I had long given up using one in Flores! Plenty of bottled water in the room. The staff smiled constantly and could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and they seemed very genuine. We would definitely stay here again if we return. Good restaurants of you want a long lunch or special night out were Atlantis on the Rocks and L Plus Restaurant by Latte Graphic.

The pool was adequate with limited surroundings due to the hillside venue but over taken by a few loud guests so we did not use it. No fresh towels available. For a family with children the pool would be useful though.

The one bedroom apartment Treehouse are great. You have an outdoor living space and bedroom indoors. Whole Treehouse is made of bamboo. They allowed us a late check out at no extra charge and they provide a taxi service into town. Maximum two trips a day (for a small charge). Pool was small but nice and the pool area was chilled. Drinks in stocked fridge are just charged at the end. All staff were lovely.

Mosquitos in room and bathroom as the space is not air tight due to bamboo structure. Once we were in with air con, mosquitoes were minimal. We slept under the mosquito net. Lights are dim in the bathroom. Breakfast choices are plenty but all based on protein and eggs just the eggs are cooked bit differently.

A really unique, beautiful series of little bamboo villas built into the mountain side surrounded by flowers. The staff were incredible and having breakfast in your own little living room under the room with views over the bay was truly magical. We were worried about the distance from restaurants etc but a) the walk down was 15-20 mins. No sidewalks for the first 10mins but didn’t feel dangerous at all in the light (the traffic here is mopeds mostly and everyone is so chill.) and b) the hotel taxi costs £1 and was always available to zip in or pick us up at little notice.

It is a 3 star place (as it advertises at) so don’t expect a 5 star (AC doesn’t work well so it’s boiling at night, cracked steep steps between rooms, tiny pool, because it’s built of bamboo bugs get in between the crack into the rooms, the gekkos and mopeds are loud etc.) But the prices were comparable to the 5 star hotels like Sudamala down the road (which is stunning.) Would have been delighted with this unique, more rustic stay if it had been more like £60-70 a night vs £92.

The villas were very nicely designed and decorated, entirely made from bamboo which gives very natural, rustic vibe with all amanities needed to make your stay comfortable. The location is not in the center of the village but that is recompensated by the amazing views on the bay. Free airport shuttle and reasonable priced taxi service to the centre was a nice addition. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Lots of small complementary touches like mosquito lotion or comfy flip flops will make you feel like extreamly welcomed and a cake on my bithday from the stuff made my day! They allowed me to store my main lagguage in their place during my 3 day cruise which was very much appreciated. Breakfast was great and served in downstairs lounge area of my villa. Pool arrea is also very relaxing and well organised (power sockets everywhere, sunbeds in the sun but also in the shadow) I can truly recommend the place for romantic getaway but also for solo ttavelers if you wanna have relaxing and hassle free time in Labuan Bajo.

Please note this hotel is located on the hill and some stairs walking is necessary but nothing too difficult. Staff is happy to bring your lagguage and anything else you want directly to your room.

Well equipped and nicely furnished bamboo bungalows. Mosquito net, bug zapper, mosquito repellent you get upon arrival. The location was an advantage for us as we wanted to be further away from the hustle and bustle of Labuan Bajo, yet within walking distance to the harbor and the restaurants (approx 20 minutes downhill). The place might feel somewhat isolated though.

The quality of the breakfast was good enough, the options were quite limited though. A typical choice of food was offered, the more variety would be great. In general the place feels a bit overpriced, maybe due to the fact that we spent only one night there and had to leave quite early for the snorkeling tour.
