Everything from the moment zero until the checkout was perfect. Even though it is a 4-star hotel, it feels like a 5-star (can tell by experience). What was good: + Breakfast is nicely elaborated with a lot of variety and super delicious; + Staff is always super friendly and willing to give tips either related to the hotel or with Bali; they know how to respect and treat you; + They do the extra to make you feel welcome, even putting the robe on the bed suggesting you to try it; they put 4 bottles of water every day on the room; + The facilities are super green and beautiful, and also smells good everywhere; + There is a free shuttle 3 times a day to the city center, even though it's cheap to go to the city center; + Free repellent on the rooms and not a single bite during 5 night-stay. + Free yoga classes 4 times a week! So yea... You MUST stay here. This is your relaxing moment, take it. What are you waiting for?@

The location of Honai resort is good, just 10 mins drive to main Ubud market. The entire resort is built into a lovely tropical paradise. It has beautiful vibes all over. The entire team at Honai is super friendly, super helpful & courteous. They provided us a takeaway breakfast on the day of our exit as we had an early morning flight. What a wonderful and lovely thought.

Just too many stairs to climb up and down to the room, to the restaurant and everywhere. Inside the room there is a need for: a small cupboard, a chair, better lock system for the main door as it needs to be locked from inside with a key, too much disturbance of the frog noise the whole night outside the villa room.

We had a absolutely wonderful stay at Honai Resort. The staff were warm, generous efficient, attentive and extremely professional. The resort features a lovely swimming pool within a lush well kept tropical garden. It was very quiet and low key as there are only three large villas with four spacious rooms in each- so twelve rooms in all. We appreciated that there were no TV screens in the rooms. Really supported a relaxing atmosphere that encourages you to decompress. We particularly enjoyed the yoga classes- the teachers were awesome and pitched the sessions perfectly to all levels of ability. The massages in the hotel wellness centre and some of the local spas are fantastic. The resort is situated in a quieter neighbourhood of houses and ice paddies outside the hustle and bustle of Ubud, which can be reached in a shuttle or taxi in about 10 min, or as we did quite often walked in about 40min. While the food in the restaurant is excellent and reasonably priced , the locality that Honai Resort is in spoils you for choice from cheap nutritious and tasty warung meals to high end restaurants. All within a five minute walk. Honai ha!s the added bonus of being run and owned by Balinese. We rarely left the resort and had a magical time. Money well spent

Maybe a more extensive buffet style breakfast as well. The pool was beautiful and warm , but often in the shade- makes it a bit hard if you want to get some sun or tanning. The visiting tantra yoga group disturbed the peace and atmosphere of the resort and particularly when trying to relax in the pool or the wellness centre.

The place surprised me. The pictures indicated a great hotel. However, upon arrival, it turned out to be even better. The rooms are huge. The bathroom is indescribable. Big bathtub, shower, toiletries set. There is a terrace adjacent to the room. Right next to it a wonderful swimming pool is available. The spa is professional. The food is delicious. The hotel is a considerable distance from Ubud. However, there are several places to eat or drink in the area. Nevertheless, the organization of getting to the hotel is crucial (scooter, cab...) The hotel allows you to rent a scooter. Bicycles are also available at the hotel. The road to Ubud, however, leads downhill. So the return (about 30/40 min) is uphill. It is quite popular among guests to order food to the rooms so the common space is quite deserted. The hotel is well located. It makes a very good base for exploring the surrounding attractions. The town of Ubud is very noisy. So I enjoyed the silence of the rice fields surrounding the hotel.

The space around the pool is surrounded by lush vegetation. It is beautiful, however, by 12:30 pm the loungers set up by the pool were in the shade. The common space gives the impression of abandonment. During my stay, the hotel rented the yoga space to a group of Russians for mindfullnes exercises. They lasted all day and were very strenuous. They generated a great deal of noise. The sounds made during the exercises, let's be honest, were rather unsuitable for children :) and did not allow to stay on the place that day.

We stayed for a total of 1 night as our previous travel plans had changed, and we wished we could've stayed longer! Our room was gorgeous, clean, and well thought out. The huge bathtub was a nice touch! Room service (food + alcohol) was great, and the staff were always on call. Complimentary breakfast in the morning was far from basic, and you had heaps of options to choose from - we were FULL! Unfortunately didn't get a chance to try the massages, but they offer guests a great little discount. Overall I would definitely stay here again and for a longer period of time to really soak it all in.

No complaints!

Lovely small resort with very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast with lots of healthy choices. Comfortable beds, great pool and superb SPA which offers truly excellent massages. Great views from the upstair restaurant over the rice fields. Quieter than frantic UBUD as a couple of miles outside town. Some decent cheap Warungs in walking distance. Water refill stations around the hotel. They try to avoid plastic when possible.

No wardrobe and insufficient cloth hangers.Like everywhere else in Bali the traffic noise starts at 5 am and as this hotel is a bit away from UBUD the cockerels and dogs will make themselves heard.

Everything was exceptional. The cleanliness of the rooms. That bath tub was such a highlight after a day of exploring. The floating breakfast by the pool was such a treat. And the staff are exceptional. The Chef went out of his way on our last day to accommodate my sisters request for the pesto pasta for breakfast (which she LOVED) The hotel is a bit out of the city - maybe around 15 minutes. But there is a free shuttle going to town three times a day! Its such a beautiful area, away from the craziness of Ubud. Reminded me so much of what Ubud was like a few years back. Simply perfect

Every aspect of my stay here was delightful, from the serene surroundings to the immaculate condition of the accommodation. It was the perfect setting to relax and unwind, feeling a world away from any stress or noise. The tranquility of this place is unmatched, and I appreciated every moment of calm and comfort it provided. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a serene getaway. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Very comfortable spacious room with huge stone bathing tub, excellent breakfast selection and tasty food at the restaurant, staff super friendly :) The location is about 4 km from Ubud Center, so it’s Not noisy as the center is always full of traffic jams. If you are Not in a hurry you can also Walk through the Rice fields to the center👍

If you prefer to walk on foot to Ubud center you should consider something nearer as you have to call a cab for the 4 km which takes around 10-15 Minutes due to Traffic jams

It’s beautifully designed and the rooms are luxury and spacious with a fantastic huge stone bath. The restaurant was brilliant and the staff were exceptional. It is a small resort so the service feels very personal. It’s a short drive from ubud which you can use the free shuttle, it’s very quiet and peaceful and serene.

Hard to find a negative except that there weren’t many beds by the pool. The yoga Shala was in use the whole time with external groups which was a shame but didn’t impact us hugely. Would have been nice to use the space as the hotel grounds are quite small.
