location was great, the staff were very friendly, the layout of the Villa and facillities were great. We liked the buffet style breakfest, the complimentary water, the turndown service, the fact they had a cheuffer service around Ubud that was not on a timetable but just on request. The hotel was intuitive, with mosquito repellant and coils available for guests. Decent Gym too, used most days i stayed and good size swimming pool both in the villa and common area. although I booked pool view, my view was obstructed by a large concrete roof, room 201, so this should be at a lower price in compartment the other rooms with full pol view

Twice a week the hotel area is sprayed with pesticide to keep bugs away. This is a good thing, however you best leave the hotel at the time, as it is some nasty stuff that fills the air even as far as the balconies on the fourth floor. I recommend checking with the staff upon arrival to be aware of spraying times.

Location is excellent, right in town, Monkey forest and markets are a walkable distance and there are hundreds of dining options close by. The hotel also provides a shuttle to local attraction if you don’t want to walk. Although on a busy street the hotel is like a sanctuary once you step inside. We enjoyed lunch at the restaurant and the breakfast buffet was great. Cocktails were also good. The staff very friendly and helpful. Both the private pool at our villa and the main hotel pool were lovely, though very deep! Gardens also beautiful. The villa was spacious and clean with large loggia area including a fridge and sofas.

Our villa was located an extremely long and steep walk from reception, request one close to reception. The bathroom needed better ventilation. There was some noise from nearby businesses, might have been due to the location of our specific villa. I guess If you’re going to be in the middle of town you can’t expect complete silence.

Absolutely beautiful! I'm surprised it's not 5 star. Our villa was exceptional, spacious, beautiful, very clean. Room service was great. The pool was fantastic. We normally don't spend much time in our hotel besides sleeping, but we just didn't want to leave this hotel. It was great to hang out by the pool and enjoy the beautiful garden. The staff were lovely, helpful and kind. Food was great. The massage was divine.

Our villa was kind of far from reception, and we had to climb a lot of stairs back and forth, but it was worth it! 😊 If you have trouble walking and climbing stairs, ask for a room or villa closer to the entrance, but that one will probably be a bit noisy at night, given the traffic and the live music around the area.

Staff kindness and helpfulness as they helped called for medical help promptly its a very rainy night n the staff hv gone miles to help carry her to ambulance parked outside etc. They are very kind to offer any help. Our Villa is clean. Room service is efficient. Lamb first night was burnt though so not edible. Nasi goreng was very delicious. Fantastic location. Very Close to main street.

Not too many choices on menu for Room Service or restaurant. Breakfast options were not too many but good enough for us to have a decent relaxing morning.

The hotel was at a very good location near to many restaurants and of course the Monkey forest. Breakfast had many options to choose from, all of which were tasty. Personnel was super helpful and friendly. I had stomach ache on one day of the trip, and they offered to prepare for me something off menu, I really appreciated the gesture. Our room was spacious and looked over the pool. Everyday they provided us with bottles of water, and they also served afternoon tea, with small sweets for no extra charge.

The room had small plantar bugs on the walls. They didnt bother us that much, but we had to kill a few. The hotel had signs that they sprayed for bugs 2 days every week, not sure if the issue got resolved after we left.

The room we stayed in was fantastic. It was really spacious and we had everything we needed. Staff was super helpful and friendly and helped us organize some tours and even got us a special offer for what we wanted to do. Even though KajaNe is located in Central ubud, it is super quiet and you can't hear anything from the traffic, but you are still close to all the main attractions. The park and layout is beautiful with a lot of greenery. The hotel even has a free shuttle bus which we used to get to the Neka art museum, as it was a bit further away, but all the main attractions, like the monkey forest are in a walking distance from the hotel. There were a lot of stairs to get to our room which was no problem for us, but if you have trouble walking, maybe contact the hotel in advance to see if a room closer to the lobby is available.

5-star Kajane Mua Private Villa & Mansion is in a central location in Ubud. The property is beautiful, quiet considering it’s in such a busy location and the staff are amazing, very easy to talk to and would jump up to help with any request big or small. I really liked how they offered to deliver afternoon tea to your room, this gave me that extra time to rest in between my excursions. Also most of the key Ubud attractions were easily walkable from is the property ie 5 minutes' walk from Ubud Market and Ubud Palace, Monkey Forest, iykyk the traffic in Ubud is crazy so walking is far quicker. My key reasons for booking the property was to be close to some good spas (Inka, Fresh, Vive Salon, UR Spa), restaurants/bars and a pharmacy, these were all within 3-7min walk. If you are too hot to walk you can utilise the free shuttle service offered by the property (give staff a 2hr heads up if possible) or you can message the concierge on WhatsApp for pickup around Ubud which was a lifesaver at times. As a solo traveler I highly recommend Kajane Mua and I this will be my go to property for any future bookings in Ubud.
