The hotel had just started its renovations, so it was a shock to arrive and see what looked like a bomb/demolition site. To be fair, the rooms are set back from the part of hotel being renovated, so there was no major noise disturbance, but still I think the management should have warned guests first.

Breakfast was basic and fine for the cost. It’s a lovely little gem, hidden away in the middle of Monkey Forest Road, close to everything. The lobby has always been uninviting but the renovations have commenced so this will upgrade the property immensely.

The bed was a bit too hard for our liking. The smokers should be as far away from non-smokers as possible!

It’s quiet, it’s away from the street, and it’s small and yet very nicely laid out especially around the pool

the front office has very little “street appeal”. Something needs to be done to make it more welcoming. It’s dark, the fountain is not working, and maybe something else should be placed there. But I think the resort would get more business from “walk-bys” if the front building was fixed up a bit

we stayed five nights and had the same high level of service every day. we will never forget the smiling faces and kind staff who made us feel at home. ALL the staff were amazing - ALL. we had meaningful conversations with the staff. I was ill one day and they went out of their way and did everything they could to help me; forever grateful. the staff was very attentive to our requests. it was joyful to see the staff working together as a team; they all did whatever is necessary to ensure the accommodations were clean and comfortable. breakfasts were quite good. beds were comfortable. water pressure excellent. we would definitely return to Yulia if we were in ubud again.

nothing really. (it might be a good idea to put “bowl of fruit” on the breakfast menu. as well knowing what services are available in the near vicinity would be helpful but we understand that after being closed for two years, many services have not resumed to full capacity.). all in all, nothing to complain about.

Lovely hotel, centrally located in Monkey Forest Road, near to many restaurants. Our Super Deluxe Room at the rear of the property had a balcony providing a partial view of a small rice field. It would have been nice and tranquil except for the occasional quite loud afternoon music from the next door hotel's pool bar about 20 metres away. This is not Yulia Villages fault, but something to be aware of if you are "oldies" like us. The rest of Yulia Village and it's beautiful garden surrounds and pool area are quiet and peaceful. Our room itself was great with super comfy beds and pillows, good aircon, cold fridge, reliable wifi, and nice bathroom with hand held and rain shower and constant hot water. A minor disappointment was that the "cable" TV consisted of just 8 or so "normal" channels, with only one in English and no sport. The a la carte breakfast, with a few options to choose from, was included in our room rate and very satisfying. You just had to place your order the night before and nominate a time you'd like to have it. While building works are being carried out at the front of the hotel (new reception area and restaurant) breakfast is served in an attractive undercover area near the pool. So far as the building works are concerned, they didn't adversely affect our stay in the slightest, and we understand the aim is to finalize them late in 2023. Special thanks to all the staff,  especially Dwi and Wayan who were extremely friendly and helpful.

A minor disappointment was that the "cable" TV consisted of just 8 or so "normal" channels, with only one in English and no sport. This was a let down for us Aussies, given our Matildas were in the Women's world soccer finals, and we couldn't watch any AFL footy. Also, as mentioned above, the loud, head banging, music from the adjacent hotels pool bar on some afternoons, was annoying especially as our balcony was so close. We did however, note some reduction in volume the last couple of days, which made it a little more bearable.

The area behind the parking lot is beautiful and well-maintained. However the building in front on the street certainly needs some attention, as the property has no street appeal. People going by have NO IDEA what a pretty, quiet & quaint property this is. Great location, walking distance to the monkey forest and two other busier parts of the town.

The staff was great, they certainly kept track of me and my stay. The pool was really just right, small but enjoyable. As mentioned I think the only issue is the building out front and the “street appeal”. The front needs work to draw potential visitors to stay. clean up, fix the fountain or add a flower garden and a SPOTLIGHT is needed on the sign As both my taxi driver and other taxi drivers delivering people could not find the YULIA VILLAGE. Having trash & a trashcan underneath your sign, is not good marketing

Beautiful garden, real jungle paradise. It was a pleasure just sitting at the table there. Very nice, authentic Balinese looking room. Nice looking little pool. I didn't use it though. Walking distance to the Monkey Forrest. Many shops and restaurants on the street.

There was no toilet brush in the toilet room. I was embarrassed not being able to clean my own sh.t myself. Someone of the cleaning staff dit it for me on the first day. Sad... The second day I had to look for a toilet brush through Ubud, instead of spending my time more nicely. It had spoiled my stay. So that's why I haven't prolonged my stay and have booked another hotel for the rest of the days in Ubud. Also: why to leave construction work garbage just right in front of the entrance to the beautiful garden? It is 5-10 minutes work to put it away. Yet - it was there all the time.

I loved the garden area in the middle of the property where the main bungalows are located. And the staff were amazing, warm, helpful and quick to react when requests were made. Their breakfast offering is simple but tasty and made with fresh ingredients.

Not a dislike, but a comment: Tell taxis that the property is under construction at the front, even with a big sign that points to enter through the driveway, there is confusion for drivers, including locals. Wifi was very spotty in my room, another guest mentioned not having any in the room to the back of the property. I let staff know and they are working on it.

Big spacious room with great smily staffs. The hotel is located at the center of Ubud but it is not in crowded area. Easy access to lots of shops, spas and massage parlors, caffes to chill or explore near by eareas; or could easily book a daily tour to tourist attractions at tourists stands near the hotel. Every day the room was cleaned and the shower gel and shampoo were recharged, and clean towels were replaced. Thank you Yulia team, we enjoyed our stay :)

-There was no tissue in the room, -Though the room got clean everyday, I would like the face washing area and the toilet be cleaned with cleaning detergents. -Internet was not stable

My favorite stay in Bali. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Wayan even went out of his way to get me a little birthday cake on my birthday, it’s was so thuan sweet. The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to the monkey forest and great restaurants all around. The property is very relaxing with a beautiful pond and garden. There is currently construction going on in the front for a new restaurant for the hotel, but there was no noise issues. We had the connecting family rooms with two bathrooms. The rooms were spacious with comfy beds and nice big showers. I would definitely come back!
