Breakfast was very good. In fact we slept in and missed breakfast on the first morning. Syleva, and Liz looked after us,however by providing s lovely take away breakfast, which we enjoyed at the outdoor table at the Lodge. They were bith so kind anx helpful. Thank you. We also really enjoyed the lovely meal and atmosphere at the Outside inside restaurant dow at the lodge on the second evening. It was superb. We also found the gardnener to be so pleasant snd helpfu.

We did not enjoy the lack of restaurant in the main hitel. All that was available was a bar menu which showed lack of imagination. Bar was also very noisy!

The staff are so friendly, everyone willing to make your stay as joyous as possible. Breakfast incredible so much choice. Evening meals were huge so staff gave us half portions and still plenty and good variety excellent value. Bar staff and music excellent. The walk through the woods surrounding the lodge is truly magical, peaceful and calming. Good too to walk off all the excellent food and drink.

Unfortunately the fire alarms went off several times which was very disconcerting as no one around to let guests know what was happening. A guest member had to go up to the hotel to get staff down to turn it off.

Food and service were really good. In particular the food at the Lodge was really good. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The location is stunning and so calming which was helped by the fact that the sun shone all weekend.

The mattress on the bed was so soft it felt like we were on a water bed! Every time one of us moved the other rolled involuntarily. Luckily there was a single bed in the room so my husband moved into that, otherwise neither of us would have gotten any sleep. It was also a bit disappointing to discover breakfast was not included in the price at €367 for 2 nights in May.

Checkin was easy. Receptionist quickly changed our room to quieter garden view. Room was clean and well equipped. Included breakfast was very good with a full range of both cooked and continental. Staff were well organised and regularly checked if all was OK. Would return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others.

Would have liked a few more TV channels. Typical of Ireland there are very few hiking routes. Price to us, who usually rent 2 bedroom luxury appartments in Spain for £65 per night, was a little high but compared to others in Ireland it is fairly priced

Receptionist so helpful 😁 immediately came and checked hairdryer and brought a new one very friendly and welcoming young lady ,the room itself was gorgeous 😍 and the river outside was lovely to see,I. Would definitely recommend this hotel especially good value for single travellers like myself huge room loved it 😍

Noisy neighbours at about 4 am coming back shouting at each other using foul language,to be expected I suppose unfortunately people drink too much around Patrick's Day,the hotel has a sign about noise, thankfully it only lasted a very short time and I was able to sleep again 😁

I have a long history with woodenbridge hotel and this is my first review , the lovely receptionist asked had I stayed before but I couldn't remember..now I remember alright ! and if I told you how I didn't remember..i wouldn't be believed !!! But I digress ! This time I stayed on my own and was able to really enjoy what they have to offer , the sound of the river Aughrim roaring past the lodge .. music to a nature lovers ears ☺️ Situated in the fairest vale of them all but only 10/15 mins from the M11 it's an ideal location to set off on an adventure in the garden of Ireland or for work as was my purpose. The staff the food and not forgetting the hotel and its location are amazing so I would definitely recommend the woodenbridge hotel for a stay . Thank you ! 🙏

I was working so I couldn't spend more time there !

Lovely spacious room at the Lodge. We enjoyed delicious pizza at the casual diner there. It’s a pretty 3.5km walk to Avoca village from the accom. We thoroughly enjoyed the full Irish breakfast. The staff were lovely- very welcoming and pleasant.

I think the ventilation system in the bathroom needs either an upgrade or cleaning. The tiled room gathered a lot of condensation- even on the floor, which I considered a safety issue especially for older folk going in there at night.

Excellent staff all throughout hotel and Lodge. Food was exceptional. Entertainment over the weekend was a nice bonus

Unfortunately the hotels drink prices are almost extortionate. As there is no competition in the immediate vacinity I feel the hotel are taking advantage of their customers here. 4km away a bar serves me a bottle of beer for €5 which is what I pay for it at home and in other places I have stayed. The hotel however, charges €6.10 for the same bottle of beer. It was the only unfortunate part of our stay

I had dinner in the hotel on the first night and it was superb!! Staff were very friendly and helpful. It took a few minutes to figure out checking into the lodge on the first day but once that was sorted it was fine.

The rooms in the lodge don't seem to have sound-proofing and it was very distracting hearing the boys next door getting ready for their night out singing along to house music on the Saturday evening.
