We had another delightful stay at Murphys Farmhouse B&B. We were there seven years ago and would you believe we were booked into the same exact room?? They had no idea we were there seven years previously in the same upstairs room. It was nice to see mother Mary, daughter Mary, and Eileen. Our room again this trip was very comfortable and had been redecorated. The bathroom was perfect with a great shower and very hot water and good water pressure. Their Irish breakfast is still fantastic and very filling. They had also redone the beautiful dining room. It was so great to be there again. Thank you, ladies.

The breakfast was delicious with a menu of options including a full Irish breakfast and smoked salmon, plus a buffet of yogurt, granola, homemade fruit compote, juices, croissants, etc. We updated to the room with the mountain view and got to see the sheep grazing and beautiful sunsets. The bathroom and shower were a good size with good water pressure and hot water.

The home is a lovely old farmhouse, tastefully appointed and very clean. The breakfast was lovely, with a number of good choices.

We booked a king room, relying on the pictures online. We were given a double bed in a room the size of a sardine can. We didn’t even have room for two suitcases. I notified the owner that we weren’t comfortable but it was late at night and too late to change. She did refund a small part of my money when we checked out, but that doesn’t help with missing a good night’s rest while traveling.

The view from our room was great! We looked out on an open field, and could watch a hare running after crows in the morning. Breakfast was delicious, with many choices both on and off the menu! Pubs for food and drink were within easy walking distance. We stayed here in 2009, and were very happy we chose to return to this B&B again. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. The Ring of Kerry and Dingle Peninsula are both nearby, so Murphys Farmhouse works very well as a base for touring these areas. Mary suggested a laundry service in Dingle (near ALDIs) that was wonderful! We dropped off (many kg) clothes in the morning, toured around Dingle Peninsula area, then picked up laundry at the end of the day. Cost was less than finding a laundromat and doing them ourselves.

WiFi was difficult to use in the room, but worked very well in the downstairs sitting room most of the time. That would be about the only thing we didn't like.

The location was great. We stayed three nights - had a very good dinner at the Anvil around the corner the first night. We went into Dingle twice - about a 40-minute drive. Drove Sleigh Head Drive (an absolute MUST!), and took a bus tour around the Ring of Kerry from Killarney another day while stying at Murphy's Farmhouse. Nice setting, beautiful garden, free parking, which got a bit crowded sometimes, but there was room enough for everyone's vehicles. We got keys and could come and go as we pleased. Our room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was very good. Friendly staff, a beautiful setting, an absolutely gorgeous area. Good experience all around.

Everything was great, however it would have been helpful to have some sort of information sheet in the room showing breakfast times, check out time, how to use the shower (we couldn't figure it out), procedure for having room cleaned or new towels, etc. We didn't talk to any staff until we went down for breakfast after our first night there.

The breakfast was as good as one might expect, really. There was an excellent selection of cereals, cold drinks, etc, along with a menu of hot choices, including smoked salmon, which I chose. My room had all of the necessary facilities, but with the exception of a tea/coffee facility. Parking was ample and very simple. The small village has two pubs, in very close walking distance, one of which serves food.

Clean, comfortable and a great shower! Breakfast was superb and we were well looked after by the staff! A guest longe was a bonus and the location was great! Close to hikes and dinner options!

VERY minor but the property had the feel of a small hotel rather than the more intimate B and Bs we had experienced previously! We loved our stay and would definitely go back!

Our room was very pretty and comfortable. We loved looking out at the field from our window. The location was great for exploring the Dingle Peninsula and Ring of Kerry. There are two pubs in walking distance, which is very convenient. Breakfast was delicious, with several hot options and a selection of yogurts and homemade breads.

Not a thing.

Farm house is old but well kept, very charming and fresh decor. Our room was very cozy and had everything we needed to rest and be ready for our next day. I especially liked the ability to control the temperature of our room as we arrived soaking wet. Breakfast was home cooked, made to order and delicious. The town is very small, but the pubs are perfect for dinner.

The house was beautiful and sparkling clean, the breakfast delicious and the staff friendly. They accommodated our arrival time and the communication before our stay was quick and efficient. The location was ideal for our daily trips to Dingle, Killarney and Tralee. Plus there were 2 pubs very close with great food or for a few drinks.

Since there is always room for improvement, we will share our 2 cents. The room was not soundproof, you could hear what was happening around the house. Also, there was a lovely common area with a fireplace, but unfortunately the three nights that we stayed, it was occupied by the same group of people. Finally, we stayed three nights and room cleaning was not provided. All in all, I’d recommend the house to friends, but also ask the hosts to consider the feedback. Thanks for hosting us!
