The property is beautiful. Wish we were able to stay at the castle instead of the lodge. But the lodge was still good. Large bathroom. Breakfast and dinner at the hotel were nice.
The furnitures in our room at the lodge showed signs of worn out.

We stayed in a few hotels and other castles throughout Ireland. This was hands down the best place to stay! Each room felt as if you were visiting the past. All the staff were very accommodating and helpful. The rooms were very cozy and I LOVED going into the "blue room" (I forgot what it was called) to enjoy coffee while looking out the window to enjoy the gardens and Wally (the dog). Out of all the places we stayed, we would hands down stay here again!
The only thing to be aware of is that there is no air conditioning. Which I imagine is maybe an issue 1 day out of the year. My husband gets really hot, so we just opened the windows to let the night and early morning breeze.

Everything you would expect at such a beautiful and glamourous place. The staff were so kind and helpful at all times, the food was impeccable in every way. Nothing but the utmost of service and care for their guests. I arrived in the early evening darkness, when I woke in the morning I opened the curtains to discover my room had glorious views of nearby snow capped mountains. I would recommend Ballyseede Castel Hotel as a luxury stay for anyone looking for something special and out of the ordinary, to celebrate a special occasion, or to spoil someone special, or just because!

The staff is absolutely amazing, very kind and at the same time, very professional. They made us feel comfortable, warm and relaxed. Esther in the breakfast and lunch rooms is simply the best. Allways in the small details, this kind woman made our hollydays far from excellent, and the main reason to come back to theCastlle. Einstein and Hope, the family dogs in the Castle added the love and charm of their sweetness to our stay. We simply love that Castle
I have nothing to say in this issue.

Great stay, rooms are really beautiful. Bed was very comfy, great shower. I had a beautiful view from my window. Loved the decor in my room. Staff are really great, very Friendly. Lots of great places to sit and relax... lovely atmosphere... it's the perfect spot to switch off and relax. Lovely woods to wander around ( 2 mins in the car from hotel). Would highly recommend and will definitely be back ❤

The castle was awesome, including the grounds, the animals, and the decor. Molly was also brilliant! The breakfast was fantastic!
The WiFi was horrendous. Also, while the staff who served us dinner in the bar was nice, they were not very attentive. We had to wait a very long time for them to ask if we needed anything. We wound up spending 2.5 hours there when it should have only been 1.5 hours.😡

The castle is absolutely stunning, the breakfast room is really lovely, decadent to say the least. The breakfast was lovely, the attention to detail by the staff was excellent, a lovely experience. We will definitely be back.
We stayed in the lodge - which is 2 mins from the castle, it is lovely but very noisy. The fire doors closing reverberated through the building each time a guest returned. There was a wedding on in the castle and so the noise of guests returning to their rooms went on very late into the night. This is not a responsibility of the hotel though it is a fact that I think is worth mentioning.

loved the room, the beautiful castle, the grounds and the wonderful animals around the property.
the dinner in the all day eating option- sorry but the food was terrible- the meatballs were awful. we also asked for an old fashioned drink which they obviously didn’t know how to make- you don’t put soda and no bitters/no muddle. we didn’t complain so in all fairness they had no idea- but for what this cost I would expect much better. maybe we should have eaten in the dining room. our bad.

About the best staff I have ever experienced at a hotel. Example. Upon arrival wearing the same clothes for the last 4 days (United Airlines poor service) the receptionist (Marle) offered to clean our clothes, and they were returned only a couple of hours later. Stunning grounds and interiors. Again, staff, note Esther and Stella in dining (as well as others). I can not recommend more highly this hotel for a "blow out" experience. The two ladies I traveled with found this a highlight of the week in Ireland.
Perhaps one staff member to help with luggage up and down the stairs for arrival and departure. I'd gladly tip. There was no way to walk to another restaurant or bar, good or bad, a consideration. Still, I am picking here, minor issues.

Ester, who served us breakfast was extremely helpful. We asked for some input about directions and she not only came back with maps of where to go, what to skip and the smartest way to get there. But also gave us lunch recommendations and drew/wrote out our day’s itinerary. The Irish people are the absolute best at hospitality out of any country I’ve ever visited. Thanks as well to the gentleman who was tending bar the evening of Sept 8th. My husband had meetings late into the evening. Your lovely bartender put our dinner orders in at the very last min before cut off so it wouldn’t be cold by the time the meetings were over. Thank you for being so considerate and helpful!
We were warned about weekend weddings so purposely came on a Thursday to avoid this specifically but we still failed. It can be a tad busy, as we would have liked to enjoy the grounds and some of the sitting rooms but we kept being in the way of the family gathering or the photographer staging shots. So we waited in our room until the wedding reception began before enjoying the property. There’s nothing to be done really except be aware that it’s a popular place for nuptials and plan accordingly.
