Foyles Hotel stands regally in the centre of this friendly picturesque town of Clifden. A traditional looking hotel that holds it own. The room had a excellent bed with high quality bedding. The carpet regal green and tasteful dark brown furniture worked well. Breakfast was very good and varied in a pleasant breakfast room with nice staff. Had dinner directly opposite at Guys bar in which very enjoyable. The hotel is worth in my opinion that bit extra. Connemara is a special place to be with Irish hospitality Clifden Represents this area. Anthony Browne.

I had a fantastic stay at Foyles Hotel, where the room was lovely, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was tasty, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. As a solo traveller, I felt safe at all times, and everyone at the hotel was able to help with any questions I had, making this an ideal place for the start of walking/hiking and exploring the coast and Connemara. The room was huge, very atmospheric, with beautiful old books on shelves above the bed and just the right lighting for reading in bed in the evenings. I can't recommend this great hotel enough.
I had absolutely nothing to complain about or criticise at all. If only all places were like this!

Beautiful traditional hotel, in a great location on the one of the main streets in Clifden. Lots of lounges and comfortable seating areas to read, chat or watch the world go by. Lovely breakfast. Bed was so comfortable and room was huge. Close to beautiful white beaches and amazing roads and scenery. The Sky Road was not as good as expected but the road around the next peninsula through Claddaghduff and Cleggan Pier was much more interesting. All in all it was a lovely end to our trip around the Wild Atlantic Way before our return journey to Dublin for our ferry home.

Excellent location in the centre of Clifden. A friendly atmosphere and attentative staff. Has a kind of olde world charm and is an oasis of calm. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was excellent.
The Hotel could not have done better. The only thing to be aware of is the parking situation in Clifden. Although having limited parking at the Hotel itself, the majority of guests have to park on the main road, and although parking is free between 6pm and 11.30am, spaces are at a premium.

From start to finish our stay was excellent. The room was spacious, beds comfortable and bathroom facilities more than adequate. Everything you need for a comfortable stay was provided. Breakfast choices very good in a lovely setting. The music in the bar was an additional bonus. If you want to stay in the centre of town this is the place to stay.

Breakfast & dinner were exceptional-food outstanding & wonderful staff who were on hand constantly.
We loved everything from the minute we arrived. So lovely to enter into a gorgeous homely hotel-not the clinical glasshouses that are becoming the norm-a lovely family run establishment where great pride in staff interaction from reception to the dining room to Mullarkeys Bar.

Lovely old hotel in the centre of Clifden. Parking available outside. It had a large bedroom with ample space for storage plus tea and coffee available too. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff were all very smartly dressed and helpful. So much history and things to look at within the hotel, especially down stairs. We enjoyed our stay on our return to Ireland on our 25th wedding anniversary. Would recommend .

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was comfortable. The restaurant was very good - both for breakfast and dinner. The location is excellent for visiting the West of Ireland.
The shower water pressure was very weak. The car park is difficult to get in and out of.

Quirky old unique one-of-a-kind hotel. Exactly the character we were looking for.
Parking is an issue. Only parking is in the street & we had to make several drive-bys before we found a place. Biggest draw-back we had.

Incredibly friendly with terrific service. Nothing was too much trouble. All staff, cook, cleaners, waiters, and receptionists were a delight to meet.
Not set up for poor mobility guests. However, we were aware prior to our visit. The staff would do their utmost to assist in overcoming any issues.
