Friendliness of all the staff from start to finish . Food excellent . Location on lake is ideal . Loads of wee nooks to relax in, beautiful well stocked reading room . Activities on weekly from cookery to gardening . Music and entertainment most nights Couldn’t complain about a thing .

Maybe change the bar menu more frequently , but I’m sure it is .

Staying in the Lodge at Harvey's Point is the lower cost option to experience the beauty of adjacent Harvey's Point hotel and Lough Eske. Our room was tiny, with twin beds, perhaps reminiscent of a room on a cruise ship. It would not be a good choice for individuals with several suitcases (my wife and I each has a small suitcase and backpack) and who need more space. However it was well laid out, comfortable, and had the amenities most people would need. There was refrigerator in the lobby area of the Lodge, which also had seating and a selection of books. We were served a sumptuous breakfast each morning in the hotel that may be the best breakfast we've ever eaten. You'll probably need a car as Harvey's Point is about 3 miles from nearby Donegal. There are hiking trails nearby and other sights a short distance walk or drive away, including Donegal Castle. We chose to eat our dinners in Donegal as opposed to the hotel bar or higher end experience at the hotel restaurant.

Our tea kettle wasn't working, but we easily found a replacement.

I was at harveys for a wedding, food was just unbelievable! Best breakfast I ever had and selections at both wedding and breakfast was fantastic. Beds were extremely comfortable and as a light sleeper no noise woke me.

In terms of room size it is small and tight but I was aware of this so not an issue. Only things I would advise is a bit more signage to the lodge as a few older people stopped me to ask where i5 was. Also the doors into the rooms slam and I could hear that before I went to sleep but that's more something I'd say isn't an issue but can improve on.

Harvey's Point is a special place staffed by wonderful people, providing an excellent service, simply because they love what they do and they do it with a generosity of spirit. Everyone wants you to enjoy your stay. This is hospitality at its best! The food was excellent and because of the genuine warmth of the staff, dining is always an enjoyable and relaxed affair. First-class service is delivered with great ease. Dealing with the public is often challenging but everyone at Harvey's Point makes it look easy - true professionals but with a real human touch. What's not to like!

There was nothing to dislike.

I liked the honesty of the description of the Lodge...the rooms are compact ..I knew that because I was told that ..however the situation overlooking the lake more than compensated..the staff were marvellous..so friendly and helpful..the bar food was lovely but the breakfast was superb...best I've had I think! We were on a motorbike this trip so only needed a clean comfy bed and good food and it more than fitted that remit

Nothing really...as I say the room is small...but I knew that when I booked it unlike other places..so no...no complaints

The location was beautiful (though a bit remote). The staff were friendly and helpful. The food and the drinks in the bar and restaurant were wonderful.

Staying at the lodge was just a little confusing, as check in was at the main hotel next door. But this was quickly sorted out and won't be an issue for repeat stays. Also, while beautiful, the only things to do here are enjoy the quiet setting, eat, drink, and walk the grounds. This was fine for us, but could be a surprise for others. Its quite a way from the city, so once you get there you pretty much stay there.

The location is stunning, the room is small but comfortable. Evening meal was lovely with views over the lough. Bar was very comfortable with a great selection and great live music. Breakfast was fantastic, so much variety. Wish I could have eaten three times the amount.

The doors in the lodge are heavy and slam every time someone goes through them. Not the lodges fault but we had a few groups of people who were having a late night and that kept us up until well after midnight.

The location is great, right on a lake. The grounds are will manicured with many walking paths. The bar was great to grab a drink and some appetizers and listen to the piano player sing. The buffet breakfast in the morning was outstanding, the food was delicious, the variety was amazing and the staff was impeccable. The hotel felt very elegant. Our lodge had a library lobby with a round couch around a table with 100s of books to read and a great view of the lake.

We stayed in 2 rooms in the lodge area of the hotel. The rooms were very small, it felt like a cabin on a cruise ship. There were two twin beds pushed against each wall and one stool to sit on. There was a small closet area and small bathroom. The water from the sink and shower has a light brownish tinge to it. When we told the hotel staff they said it was normal and safe. We still brushed our teeth with bottled water.

Harvey's Point is situated on the coast of the beautiful Lough Eske near Donegal. The view from our hotel room window was amazing. We only stayed there for one night but we had a great experience for the short time we've been there. We had dinner at the Bar & Terrace restaurant, the food was really good. After dinner, we sat at the bar for a couple of drinks.

There was not much to complain about. Only that our bathroom was a bit small, but that was not a big deal at all.
