It's great as a surf hostel, couldn't have wished for more - very close to the 2 main surfing spots (I walkable, the other a minute drive). It's on the main road near pubs, cafes and restaurants, and a short walk from the coast.

There were times when I wasn't really sure who were other guests and who were staff/volunteers. Not an issue but I think generally for guests it's just nice to know who are other guests on holiday and who you can go to with questions etc

I had an excellent double room just for myself with bathroom en suite. The view was the best. The place was nice, my room was clean, and it was very well located. Good for the price I paid (it was not cheap, but affordable compared to other irish accomodations)

The breakfast was super simple, though good enough. My door and key lock was a nightmare, it would get stuck every single time. Maybe the common spaces could be a tiny bit cleaner. But not bad at all. Also the hot water was not available all the time.

What is an outstanding positive for me is that after the 2-week 500km pilgrimage so far, it was resolved at my request that I would not have to sleep on top of the bunk bed. I was able to spend 2 wonderful days in a very friendly environment.

The Therre was no such thing.

The place was nice, the staff has been really friendly and accomodating. The living room is very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped.

We had to ask for the heater to be turned on. It is understandable that there is no need to heat the empty rooms and when the customers are not here during the day but it would have been better to heat earlier in the evening.

Nice lodge with spacious and fully-equipped shared kitchen (fridge, microwave, stove, tea-coffee, spices, storage space), dining and common room. Breakfast included bread, butter, jam, peanut and hazelnut butter, porridge, several kind of cereal, milk and orange juice. Very close to town centre. We had a view on the see, which was nice. Helpful staff, definitely recommended.

Location suited well for a training session in the area. Nice cup of tea when I arrived from Galway. Good bus connections including early morning Local Links and Bus Eireann services to Ballyshannon and on to Donegal Town. Very happy with my visit.

Rougey Lodge was very convient - main street Bundoran, nice views of sea from our room at back of the lodge. Good shower in room/plenty of hot water. Hostel very organised in kitchen, with clear storage containers for each room number, and glass door fridges, where you can see your food at a glance. Maelinn and Valentina always busy tidying, putting dishes in/out dishwasher etc. Breakfast was good - juices, cereal, bread coffee. At 10.30am we were the only 2 in dining room - very relaxing! Parking free and near the hostel adjacent to supermarket. Good atmosphere at the back of property at night !

Perhaps black out curtains- as room in summertime bright early. No tv in room, but this is standard for hostels.
