Staff were fantastic, friendly and accommodating. The shared kitchen is a wide open space to use, and was not at all cramped at any point. The rest area where you can grab a beverage, chat with others, was quiet with a radio playing chilled songs. There was information/guidance regarding things to do in Galway, I.e. best pubs to go to, what's on etc Room had all what was needed, mini fridge was a bonus. Access to Galway centre, is literally a 1 minute walk from the door to the bus stop. 1 euro 90 to be exact. Sometimes we had a driver who let us on for free! The best pub by far in my eyes was O'Connor's bar, located on the same side as the hostel, left towards upper-salthill road. This serves the best Guinness I've ever had, and Murphy's if you're interested. Live entertainment was great too.

I'll let you know in the future 😉

Loved my stay here, so friendly and helpful, great facilities. The kitchen was great, I was able to self cater quite a bit to help costs. My dorm room was clean, well set out, own bathroom for the 6 guests. Very good shower, modern and clean, new hand towels supplied each day in bathroom. The cafe and social area were relaxing places to be. I had the breakfast in house the first morning, which was a great start while finding my feet. Great grocery store over the road, treat yourself but still spend less than meals out every day. I was also able to get some washing done. Salthill is a great location, in walking distance to Latin Quarter and Galway centre.

Everything was great, no complaints

Friendly staff, clean and quiet private room, nice kitchen and cafe, ample luggage storage, delicious chai tea. Recommend opting in for their breakfast options the day before to save some money if eating on site. The staff were very accommodating, letting us store our luggage before check in and helping us call our tour bus. The beds, like most of the places we stayed in Ireland, aren't soft, but we still slept soundly.

It's a good location if you're wanting to vacation in Sand Hill, but if spending time in the city center, it's too far. Buses weren't on time in Galway, so sometimes we just walked the half an hour in from town.

The staff were very friendly. The beds were some of the most comfortable on our whole trip. The room was small but cute, had a mini fridge and nice shower. The kitchen and dining areas were also super cute, well appointed and much appreciated. Lots of seating and tables to hang out, even had some board games. Beautiful 15-20 minute walk along the bay to Galway city center or just a few minutes drive.

The parking lot only has room for 4 or 5 cars and was always full. There was plenty of street parking a block away. Make sure you ask where to park though bc some of the street parking is paid. It was a bit noisy but they did offer earplugs.

Great location, clean and comfortable facilities, a short walk away from the gorgeous Salthill Promenade and close enough to the city centre (30 mins walk). Bus stop is right outside the hostel to take you to the city centre too, €1.90 fare in either Leap card or cash (debit/credit card not accepted on the bus as of the date of this review). Hostel has a kitchen if you want to make your own tea or coffee. Friendly staff who greeted us with a smile after our 3 hour drive. Room was a little small for 2 people but manageable and ok for a short stay. There’s a little table and fridge. Loved the fairy lights. Parking wasn’t a problem either!

Honestly, everything was fine. It would be better if the room was a little bigger to accommodate bulky luggages but as we only stayed for a night it was fine!

I booked a private room, so I can't speak to the dorm experience, but my room was huge with a king sized bed, which was wonderful after the closet I slept in London. My room was immaculate and super quiet, I couldn't hear other guests or road noise; it also had a mini fridge which was a rarity in Ireland and UK hotels, and since I was traveling with medication that had to be kept cold, that was so convenient instead of having to ask the front desk to hold it in their refrigerator. It was just a couple blocks to the ocean and a 20 min walk to town. I had an easy check in experience and the whole place felt more like a boutique hotel, but with bigger rooms. Also has a nice little cafe/breakfast bar.

Nothing, it was a great 2-night stay, except perhaps the cafe staying open a bit later than 3 pm, especially for later arrivals.

The room was quite large and it was spotless; the bed was comfortable. I loved that the light in the bathroom was automatic (went on and went off automatically when the BR was empty). The staff at the front desk was friendly and helpful.

The view from my room wasn't particularly great, but I liked that the hotel was not right in the city center (about a 17 minute easy walk or a quick bus ride that costs about 2 Euro) . Breakfast was not included with my reservation, but there is free coffee if you like instant coffee. When I was there there were rather large groups of youth there and they filled the breakfast room. A couple of times they were loud in the hallway but not for long.

Nice atmosphere as soon as we walked in. Staff friendly and very helpful. Our room was large along with a fab wet room, easy comfortable room, basic amenities but as we expected, the bed however, was above and beyond, superking and very comfortable. Quiet corridor, we weren't disturbed at all.

Can't think of anything that wasn't up to our expectations, as described on website. However, as a wheelchair user I did have a curfew as the lift could only be used up to midnight. Not the end of the world but would have been nice to be out if I chose to be, same as the able bodied. Worth considering chair users having ground floor rooms or allowing use of the lift at all times.

The whole hostel is designed very well so you feel cosy. I appreciate that it has other separate bathrooms where you don't disturb others when you need to use it early in the morning. No problem to borrow a hairdryer. It was nice to have towels, and soap in the bathroom. It seemed like a small thing but I was very annoyed that in the different hostel I stayed on my trip in Ireland, there was simply nothing and the price was the same. It's about 30 minutes walk from the train station, but the walk is nice and along the way, there is a big Tesco store, which was useful for me. But you can use a bus, there is also a bus stop nearby. I stayed only one night but can imagine staying longer.

I don't see any cons.

Loved the private room it was very cosy and had pretty fairy lights. Hot shower with decent water pressure. Windows that open and a heater that works really well. There is an elevator which is helpful and there is a cafe downstairs. Bus stop right outside and bus takes 5ish mins to city centre.

Mostly quiet but checkout is 10am so cleaning starts at that time which you can hear. The walls are thin so I could hear a group coming in late. The bed is a bit hard and the pillows aren’t very comfortable. I used the laundry and the dryer takes around 2 hours which is very long for only one washer/dryer being available and meant I had to pull my clothes out still damp as I didn’t have time to wait a full 2 hours.
