I loved that we were close to the beach and to the ocean drive! We get an amazing room ! We had free coffee in the room at the espresso machine, but also free breakfast at the restaurant “bacon bitch”( coffee and a croissant with butter and fruit jam. We loved our stay at Essex house ! Thank you!

No restock the room coffee and the water. We asked for room service and the service wasn’t available after waiting for a response 1 hour . they were cleaning the room, changing the bed, but they didn’t clean the floor, not even once

Bosay(sp?) Is ALWAYS PLEASANT, PROFESSIONAL AND ACCOMMODATING when we stay at Essex. We have been staying here for years and will always choose this hotel when traveling to South beach. I love the smell of the lobby (they should put that scent in the rooms) . I love that the suite rooms have jacuzzi tubs for relaxation.

I DO NOT LIKE THAT THE FRONT ENTRANCE AREA HAS BEEN REDUCED TO ACCOMODATE THE ADJOINING RESTAURANT-Bacon Bish. I also wish that you did not have to walk so far to use the resort fee amenities like bike rentals.

Art Deco vibe, room was completely refurbished. we liked the privacy of the suite areas. simple furnishings but clean and spacious.

We were there unexpectedly during Spring break for a 50th birthday weekend. This hotel is located in the central area of South Beach, which during other times of the year we are sure makes it a good thing. However, if you read the news you know that Miami is troubled that time of year. We were right in the middle of the scary bedlam shootings and chaos. once in the hotel we felt very safe in our suite area, but getting on there at night was terrifying.

Very nice building, very beautiful. The staff was wonderful. Had a great time.

The few light bulbs out in the room in the TV didn't work well first I had to call the front desk End, they took care of it. Apot, from that, everything was great.

The staff was excellent- Everyone at the front desk including Beau, Deshawnte, Jamel- were ALL AWESOME!!! They were courteous, welcoming, informative and always available for questions. Dan was helpful as well whenever we had a request.

The deposit- $100.00 per night (ex. 5 nights=$500 deposit) seems to be extreme to me, especially since the resort fee includes beach chairs that are 4 blocks away, bike usage with no locks so using them is at your own risk and the free croissant for breakfast at Bacon Bitch cant be toasted. I did not like that I could not get a formal invoice from the hotel showing my charges because I booked through this site- booking.com.

We are ALWAYS greeted with a smile by front desk person BoSay (sp??). We have stayed at essex for 7 years consecutively, and he is always welcoming, professional,l and alert.

I do not like that Bacon bitch has taken space on the front which eliminated the seating which we enjoyed in previous years.

Everything is within walking distance. It's in the heart of The Art Deco District, a block over from the beach, a CVS, restaurants and blocks away (walking or quick Uber) to other areas of South Beach. I prefer quieter spaces and you can still find some within the hustle and bustle of S. Beach. I enjoyed reading on the rooftop, watching the world go by.

Had access to the beach club and sports bar to watch the game. Very fun and safe. Security at the beach club made me feel so comfortable. Will definitely stay here again.

The hotel is not new. I am OK with that. It was clean even if it was a little older.

It’s a very old hotel historic, it was very clean the staff was super friendly and kind. I was super close to all my activities and I had access to the Clevelander I would definitely stay here again

Because the hotel is so old so are the pipes my toilet kept getting stopped up, my tube and sink were stopped up as well

The location was perfect, walking distance to a lot of things we wanted to do ! Would definitely be staying here again my next visit !!

The parking prices are ridiculous, I think the guest of the hotel should at least get a deal or more so free parking besides the public . Or there needs to be only a designated parking for the quests !
