This is an absolute GEM! Although it's a little tired looking - I superb for the money! Great welcome and host, the balcony over looking the lake was stunning (facing Bellagio!) - What a win!! It was 1 minute walk to the ferry (bellagio, varenna), parking included! The breakfast was actually superb. Continental brekkie can sometimes be hit and miss - but this one had fresh bread and croissants, lots of fresh meats and cheese, plenty of cereal choice and the coffee was great! Biscuits, jams. everything! Most people assume you are quite far from places - it's all so close. 1 minute drive to Tremezzo, 4 minute drive to Menaggio. Bus stop outside for those not driving! It's quick! So feel reassured. Recommend visiting Lenno and Villa Balbienello and Villa Carlotta is literally just down the road by 1 min!

the view is amazing. The location was the best aspect of the hotel. You would need to have a car to be able to easily get around but the boat shuttle is just across the street so that was also useful. it’s a magical place in the winter.

The dinner. do not eat dinner at the hotel. our booking had breakfast included and we asked the hotel staff for restaurant recommendations for lunch and dinner. they recommend the restaurant next door to the Hotel and the one inside the hotel. we tried the one that’s next door and it was actually amazing value for money and great quality. we were told however that the hotel restaurant had more options and we made the mistake of eating there the second night. I would stick to the restaurant next door. the hotel restaurant staff gave us overly priced stale cheese and an oily inedible steak.

The location of the hotel is exceptional. It’s close to ferries and bus stops. Ferry transfer to Bellagio takes only 10 minutes. I loved Cadenabbia and Griante. I recommend going up to the centre and see the church, hills and streets. It has a true Italian vibe, better than in Bellagio which is full of tourists. The breakfast is simple, but you can find something for yourself. The hotel is quite old, but it’s clean. I loved the view from the balcony, it was like a dream. Some people complain about the noise, yes there was some noise but it wasn’t bothering us. We loved the restaurant Risto Bar in front of the hotel. The food was amazing and quite cheap and the service also :) Overall, I would go back, despite some minuses.

As for the breakfast - I was missing vegetables and fruits a lot, I was extremely surprised that nothing was there… We had a room with the fan, instead of AC, but it’s our fault as we hadn’t noticed than. It was extremely hot in the room.

Read through as this might be exactly what you are looking for! If you are looking for a reasonably priced amazing location right in the water this place would be your choice for 3 reasons: 1 right on the ferry station easy to access to and from. This will allow you to go to Bellagio for dinner round trip easily. 2 Parking lot - the hotel has a parking lot for you which is a huge advantage in this area. 3 Andrea the owner is the kindest person you’ll meet here! He’ll happily share with you insider tips that would make or break your trip. Highly recommended!

The location is amazing, perfect for visiting the top locations on the lake, right out side the hotel is the Bus to Como or menaggio, which is included in the tourist tax, the ferry for the car or foot passenger to Balaggio and Varrena amongst other places, We had an all day ticket to go back and forth for just €15 each, well used, There is a great spot just in front of the hotel to get in to the water for a swim or paddle boarding, a short walk up the shore line to more beach type areas, left out of the hotel, The Hotel its self is a nice original with great architecture, the hosts are great, a particular thanks to Andrew for his help, advice & guidance, not just for our stay but also for our next destination in Italy, Thank you This is a proper family business that you don’t get so much now, great to support them to keep these places going

Parking can be a little difficult however the hosts do help people move vehicle to fit everyone in so no major, Personally we would have liked a kettle in the room however there is a proper coffee machine down stairs

First time visit to Lake Como, hadn't known where to stay so I stumbled across this hotel almost last minute. Situated right across the road from the lake, near to other restaurants and a fabulous cafe, its a few minutes walk to the ferry port plus the bus stop is right outside. It costs only a few euros from Como on the C10 bus to Menaggio. I love this place. They say eat/stay where the locals do and Cadenabbia as well as this hotel, is such a place. Everyone spoke to us, helped us when we needed it, it is such a relaxed place. The view from most rooms and the dining room cannot be bettered. If I could go back right now, I would. Whilst there, I didn't switch the TV or waste my time on my phone. Every aspect of the hotel is spotless, every member of staff is lovely.

Absolutely love that they have a little dog, called Cookie & that it’s a completely family run hotel. The staff, particularly Andrea, were very kind & helpful. The view from the balcony in our bedroom was beautiful. Andrea gave us some great restaurant recommendations which really added to our trip. The location is fantastic! The bus stops right outside the hotel & the ferry is a 3 minute walk away. 5 minute walk to Villa Carlotta. 10 minute ferry to Bellagio. 10 minute bus ride or lovely 45 minute walk into Menaggio - perfect! Also, some fantastic fine dining options a few minutes walk away.

We would have liked to have tea & coffee making facilities in the room, but the staff let us take up a pot of tea & a coffee from the restaurant anyway, which was nice. The shower door is really flimsy & could do with being replaced with a sturdier one. Neither of these things affected our stay or put us off though.

This hotel is such a nice one if you are not searching for fancy but for authentic! It has this old Italy vibe. Such a local thing. The doggo Cookie is sweet. The staff was always helpful, nice and friendly. 1. Location next to Candenabbia ferry station ( you can see it from the window ), the beautiful promenade with wisteria 2. The view is spectacular, right on the Bellagio, snow pics of alps from the left side and Como hills from the right side. We got the best room with 3 windows on both sides. Thank you!!! 3. The breakfast offers many options, not only pastries as usual for Italy. You get eggs, parma, salami etc. ,local cheese. I loved it. The croissants were perfectly crispy and the ☕ very good. In the evening this is a restaurant where locals eat. The pizzas were good. A pity that pana cota was gone so fast abd we could not try it😅 4. Internet usually worked. One day it was broken but we survived somehow 5. The cleaning is every day, too cool for a 3* hotel)) 6. The heating works, the shower was well enough, and you have a bidet. 7. The bed was comfortable, there is a small smart tv to enjoy some Netflix if you wish. The fridge was ok. I liked the woman statue on our terrace. 8. The noise from the street is a real thing. It starts early in the morning because the main road goes next to the building. If you like quiet area, this is not a choice. This was actually the only thing we did not like

The hotel is located on lake shore at Cadenebbia which is near Menaggio. The room was clean, neat, spacious and some of the rooms have great view to lake como. There is a restaurant right next door which serves good coffee and good. The manager was very helpful and gave us good advice regrading local travel and for train connection to Tirano from Varenna, as had to board Bernina Express the next day. The bus stand is right outside the hotel and ferry station about 5 to 7 minutes away. Good place to stay near Menaggio. Bellagio and Varenna are just across the lake and reachable by ferry within 15 to 20 minutes. from Varenna there are direct trains to Milan and Tirano.

The bus and ferry to Cadennebia ferry station, where the hotel is located, are not very frequent. In case it is missed, then there is a long wait for the next one. So study the bus and ferry schedule in detail. Bellagio and Varenna are just opposite and can be by ferry in 15 to 20 minutes.
