La Via del mare is in a very peaceful location situated midway between the beach and town, with lovely views over the bay. Although hilly we enjoyed the walks both ways and would recommend walking over the cable car, just take your time and enjoy! We stayed in the King size room which is spacious and spotlessly clean (Emanuela cleans every day). The room does not get too warm, but A/C is available if required. The bed is very comfortable, and we slept very well during our four night stay. What really makes this a wonderful stay is the host Emanuela, she serves up a beautiful breakfast on the sun terrace each morning and she genuinely cares about, and takes an interest in her guests, she really is a lovely lady! Highly recommended - you can trust all the good reviews for La Via del mare 👌

Nothing, everything was perfect

The host was lovely and made delicious breakfast every morning. She gave me recommendations for activities and kept the room very clean. The view from the room was lovely! I worked remotely from the room and found the wifi to work great. Excellent temporary office with a view of the sea and cable cars going by. Quiet neighborhood but close enough to town. Visited Mazzeo beach, Isola Bella, and Castelmola. Easy buses and cable car transportation around/between towns.

The location is beautiful and quiet but it's in between the sea and cable car. It's a bit tough to navigate with luggage but about 15 minute walk from the bus stop so not too bad. Downhill to the sea but steep uphill to town. The stair climb uphill is tough. It's easier to walk down to the beach and take the cable car up into town.

We loved our stay at Casa Via Del Mar - Emanuela was so helpful with anything we needed and flexible with our arrival (we drove from Ortigia and didn't know how long we were going to take). From the moment of arrival she was very attentive and and the room was great for what we needed. She had a great little book printed with tips and information about the area. The view from the room was amazing, both during the day and the night. We had breakfast in the morning which was really delicious. We had to leave before breakfast time on our checkout day, so Emanuela left some things for us in the little kitchenette so that we could still have something to eat before we left. We drove and it was quite easy to find a park on the street when we arrived.

This was not a problem for us, but just something to be aware of - this room is basically in the middle of the mountain between Taormina town centre and the beach - which means there was a lot of walking and a lot of stairs (especially up to the town) - however it is very close to the cable car that takes you down to the beautiful beach so that is always an option going down. :)

You couldn’t ask for a nicer hostess than Emanuela. Her kindness and sweet disposition made our stay the most pleasant we had during our two months in Europe. The apartment was spotless and we loved the patio doors leading to the terrace. It’s a 7 minute walk up to the main street yet the area is very quiet. We felt like we were in a private restaurant with a wonderful view as Emanuela served us a beautiful breakfast each day. The room is spacious and she supplied everything we needed, including beach towels and an umbrella. We can’t recommend Casa Via del Mare and Emanuela enough.

This was a lovely small B&B on the hill in TaormIna halfway down the cable car, with a great view across to the sea and island from its private but shared terrace. Emanuela out host was exceptional, and couldn't do enough for us to make our stay great. She provided fresh breakfast and even left us some milk (for English tea) on the first day when we had to leave for a tour before breakfast. In fact we chatted so much when we left that both she and we forgot to charge for the breakfast on the 2nd day. When out host heard we were heading out to a particular restaurant she realised it might be busy and as she knew them she called ahead to alert them and hold a table - as a result of which we were treated like VIP's and old friends. The room was small but well equipped with fridge and kettle and that lovely terrace outside. Location was good, only 10 minutes into the centre of Taormina but all up steps..... Emanuela was the perfect host and we absolutely recommend her and her B&B.

The steps - but that is Taormina - all places are up and or down. Everything else was great.

The bed was a bit too soft for me Parking is free on the street and subject to availability, but it worked for us since we didn't visit in the high season. I think this is more a difficulty of Taormina in general, in most hotels you actually need to pay a private parking.

This is absolutely a gem place to stay from many points of view! The first is the hosts. Emmanuela was absolutely the best host from all our vacation in Sicily. We felt like we stayed at our good friends house. Taormina city is the gem itself if you travel through Sicily. Casa Via del Mare is the best location you can imagine if traveling by car. Parking is available on the street and is free of charge. You have a beautiful view of the sea from the terrace, and you are located just inbetween the city of Taormina and the beach. The room was very comfortable and stylish decorated. The breakfast was prepared specially for you when you wake up. If we ever decide to visit Taormina again, we are not going to stay anywhere else, just at Casa Via del Mare. Thank you so much!!!

We enjoyed everything!

Lovely hostess, very easy to communicate with. The place was super clean and with all expected necessities. We opted for breakfast (which is extra) instead of hiking up to town before our first cup of coffee. Expect to use a lot of stairs unless you prefer taking an air tram and paying 6 euros per person each way. We enjoyed our stay quite a bit. Taormina is beautiful!

What did I like...? Well from the first moment we stepped onto the property Emanuela welcomed us like we were her own. She is such a wonderful person. Then when we finally got into our room we absolutely loved everything about it, clean, big, homey, and anything else to describe the perfect BnB. Me and my wife came for a honeymoon and it felt like we were going to our second home. Which I told Emanuela that we will 100% be back, not only for the beautiful town of Taomina, but for her place. It will be me and my wives "place to go" throughout the rest of lives. Anyone who stays there should be lucky that they have a host like her and a beautiful home in a beautiful town.

That I couldn't stay there forever

We had such a wonderful stay here...we could not fault it in any way....a must stay if you are coming to Taormina. The host was welcoming and very caring and prepared to take the time to help us have a great holiday. The room and ensuite were spotlessly clean and it had a lovely little kitchenette area. The view was gorgeous out over the sea and the location was close to the old town. You could easily walk down to the beaches and catch the cable car back up. We managed to always find free carparking in the street outside within 50 - 100m. The optional breakfasts were excellent and extremely good value. Thank you.
