THE STAFF! All perfect but especial thanks go to Wafa/i (sorry if mispelt 😳) whom could not have been more lovely. Just THE best customer experience I have ever had! We had only planned to stay at the Alfieri for one night but ended up staying for 4!! And it was HEAVEN!! We were lucky enough to stay in Room 102.. the palatial one with the painted high domed ceiling and 3 almost floor to ceiling windows that light flooded through, giving THE best view straight out onto the Ponte Santa Trinita and the River Arno.. where folks gather each evening to watch the glorious sunset but we had our own fabulous view from our windows❤️🏆 Room 102 is HUGE! Massive comfy kingsize bed, 2 cool nubuck sofas (which can be slept on), biggest tv ever, fab huge spa bathroom with jazuzzi bath and shower that you’d get 8 people into 🤣 Brilliant aircon that we appreciated in blazing August heat!! Breakfast was in the Foody restaurant and delicious. Bacon/eggs/omlettes to order plus so many delicious baked breads/cakes, sandwiches, fruits and cereal options. Literal cornucopia! (And they do take-away bags if like us you were tearing away to do a tour🏆) Great private roof terrace (perfect for romantic sunsets! Or sunbathing!) Lovely cool, serene courtyard with comfy armchairs to get away from the heat/bustle in the shade with a drink or a book. (Also loved LD who ran the bar.. so friendly.) LOCATION: Perfect, 10/10! 2 mins from Ponte Vecchio/Uffizzi, 10mins walk from the Station/ Santa Maria church, 10-15mins walk from the Cathedral, across the River from Pitti Palace. Great base to explore from. I can’t recommend this hotel too highly.

Fantastic walking location to all tourist attractions, across the road from the river, hidden away, in the fashion district, large room over looking the court yard, Hugh shower and comfy bed. Good air conditioning. Breakfast in the foody farm cafe buffet style, meats eggs cereal fruit and cakes pastries with orders taken for coffee and ommette. Taxi booked by hotel to train station which was about 20 mins to walk on small cobbled paths and lots of people bikes and taxis.

Room very dark decorated in black so lights on in the day, noisy in the evening from the reception and court yard, Staff not particularly helpful or friendly they seemed to be rather aloof. The roof top area was misleading not like the pictures on the hotel website, as the seating was very small via stairs it does over look the river and city. There are cushions we only saw on our last day it was not to the same standard as the hotel

This is an elegant hotel with stunning views of the river and Oltrarno. We had a "junior suite deluxe with terrace" and it was worth every cent. The room was remarkably spacious for an Italian hotel, with a large bathroom, hallway, and windows on two sides. The terrace was an absolute dream come true. It had a spectacular view of Oltrarno, the tower of Santa Spirito, Palazzo Pitti, Ponte Vecchio, and Bellosguardo. I used to live in Firenze, so many of the views are very familiar, but the perspective from this terrace was stunning. This is one of my favorite hotels where I have stayed in 30 years of visits around Italy.

The only downside were some strange interactions in the restaurant for breakfast. The staff there just seemed to not like us. They would go around and ask other guests for drink orders, but they ignored us. Not sure what their issue was (maybe we were too quiet???), but we enjoyed the food, and the staff elsewhere in the hotel were very helpful and kind.

The hotel rooms are gorgeous. Super spacious with a lovely bath, fresco on the ceiling and a big window that looks out to the river. The location is about a 10 minute walk from the main train station if your traveling by train and your right on the river, one side is the central city centre with more touristy restaurants, the more authentic food is on the other side of the river so you have easy access to both. Florence is pretty small, you can walk it in one day. the breakfast was fabulous - great pastries and lots of selection.

The wifi didn't work in our room which was super frustrating as we were working at night. The gym is good but it only has weights up to 4kgs which wasn't really enough but even so it was good to have.

We stayed at this hotel for our honeymoon, and were pleasantly surprised by several things, namely: - Room size: it was spacious, comfortable, and had an adorable little nook by the window. The ceiling was super high, which added to the spaciousness of the room. - Bathroom: the bathroom was large, it came with a bidet, the shower was wide and the water pressure was great. - Cleanliness: we spent most of the day out, so we're not sure when exactly the staff did the cleaning, but man were they dilligent! - location: two minutes away from the supermercato, right next to iconic spots such as the Pantheon and Eustachio il caffe. We mostly walked everywhere, even all the way to the zoo! Definitely stay here. We will be back soon hopefully, and we recommend this spot for honeymooners or small groups.

Great location … not far from Uffizi/Ponte Vecchio, but just far enough away from the late night noise. Breakfast at Foody Farm was very nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful throughout the entire stay.

Great location just steps from all the best attractions, shopping and sights. Stunning view from river facing rooms- we were in the renovated area and it was very modern, comfortable and spacious suite. Housekeeping was incredible and everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful.

Might be an issue for some. I’m used to this from previous stays in similar suites/buildings in Florence that have been converted, but sometimes getting to your room feels like a bit of a maze. Lots of corridors and different levels- but it didn’t bother us at all.

The view was amazing, right on the river Arno. Mini fridge was fully stocked and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel staff could not have been any kinder…helping us with whatever we needed. Hotel was located close to everything. Breakfast was delicious and had something for everyone, a full offering of options - very good!

The room was very big, with affrescos on the ceiling, view of the river, really quiet and warm (just as we wanted it). The location simply amazing! The breakfast was very good! Yes, ,drinks are on one room and food on another room (just in front) but the service is perfect, you can ask for omellettes, bacon and eggs, fresh orange juice without extra costs. The restaurant is also beautifully decorated and warm, just in front of the river. The staff was very polite and friendly, both at the reception and at the restaurant. The receptionist offered us a free breakfast since it was my birthday, much appreciated! Simple and elegant gesture. Thanks again :)

Maybe the shower can be a little bit updated, the showerhead was not at its best but is just to mention something. The bathroom in general was amazing, big, clean and also with a whirlpool bathtub (which of course we chose). Probably the cost after February will increase considerably but it is Florence!

As a hotel seated in old buildings with separate private apartments it is little bit odd that you need to go to your room by using elevators which disconnect the reception with the hotel rooms. So you are loosing the essence of an organized and fully service hotel.
