particular props to the curly haired girl (sorry lost her name) who works the desk, breakfast, room, questions, etc, etc - she was a gem and is an asset to the hotel!!! Property was located great, there’s a Irish pub around the block that’s a MUST SEE - and a Indian restaurant around the block that’s the best we’ve ever been to!!! We’d definitely stay there again if the opportunity comes up!

The hotel was in a very good location, close to the river and a close walk to the main attractions and sites of Florence. It was a quiet place to rest at night after a long day of exploring the city. The room was comfortable, the bathroom was a good size and well appointed. I chose a single bed option with no view, and that was a good cheaper option for me whilst I was travelling for 3 weeks around Europe. The breakfast was excellent and good options provided each day.

I can’t think of anything. A little bit of noise carried from rooms or from people in the common space, but not excessive and I’m a light sleeper but it wasn’t a problem.

family run hotel and they all seemed to care about guests The breakfast was more than I expected. A wide variety of food and as much coffee as you wished the room was small as solo rooms are, but the renovated bath was huge! have found hotels are NOT supplying tissues in the room. this is a necessity only two electric outlets in the bedroom was difficult to manage 2 phone chargers and a computer lighting is too low for anyone planning to work beware: when you exit the elevator on the 3rd floor do NOT turn left, the door opens to the top step on the stairs.......can use a barrier here

The location was very convenient to explore on foot (8 minutes to the train station, 15 minutes to the Duomo, and most of the tourist attractions). The food presented at breakfast was rather varied and tasted great. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. The freebie soft drinks and large-size water were a welcomed bonus since we were booked on one of the hottest days of August. Would come again if I wish to visit this area.

The occasional sound of running water was coming from somewhere, but it wasn't loud. There was also a slight smell in the bathroom, but if you keep the vents going for a bit, there is no problem. The bed was too soft for my liking, but my mum liked it just fine.

The property was a very short walk (approximately 6 to 8 minutes) from the main train station in Florence. It was also a short and easy walk (14 to 18 minutes) to the main sites of Florence. It’s located on a quiet street and is easy ti find. The staff were phenomenal!!! They were kind, attentive and caring. The breakfast provided was ample for an Italian style continental breakfast. Fruit, pastries, toast, eggs, bacon, cereal. The room was clean and well stocked. We were invited to drink anything from the mini fridge at no charge. It was not stocked again but that was absolutely okay as most places charge you for taking contents from them anyway. Overall a fantastic place to stay!!

There was not anything we didn’t like about the property.

Magenta was a great location, staff, and value. 10 min walk from train station and 3 min walk from riverbank. Excellent value, safe and of course Tony (golden retriever) was always there waiting for a pet. Many good reasonable restaurants within a 2 block area. Great place to stay without the crowds.

The one thing that could be improved was the breakfast coffee otherwise it was a great selection.

As a mature solo female lady traveler, your hotel suited all my needs, as close to everything including railway station. Guest lounge was well appointed with tea and coffee available at all times. Very clean and the staff were very helpful

The gentlemen in the front desk both of them where friendly and helpful. The room size was okay and the breakfast was good and one orning we had a tour and they prepare breakfast to go very attentive and nice.

I did not like that we with advance told them that my wife was asthmatic and we got a room that was leaking water from the AC line behind the furniture cabinet. Also, if my wife had had a reaction to the damp smell it would had disrupt my vacation. We ask them about changing the room because it was a bit hotter and also the water leaking and they told us they where full and did not have other rooms at that time. I just think that they should not have put us in that room.

Property was very central and easy to find. Lots of restaurants and shops around and also very close to the Arno River and an 8 minute walk from Santa Maria Novella train station.

Look, it’s an old building so there’s gonna be quirks everywhere and in room. I booked a single room and knew I was getting a twin bed which was fine. Was still all I needed and comfortable. No view but windows opened for fresh air. One weird thing for my room (305) was a water running sound. Couldn’t tell if it was the AC unit or other rooms but it did sort of put me to sleep so not too annoying.
