The location was great. Very close to the center and short walking distance to the train station. The building and the yard were definitely the best thing about the hostel. Have never seen anything like it before! Was always excited to get back to the hostel in the evening. Rooms were big and clean, beds were comfortable and in the top bunks you had a lot of privacy.

having to pay for luggage storage (once before check-in and again after my check-out, should def be included after paying 60€ for a night!) having to give up your key every time you leave the building

Staff was nice and efficient, quick check-in if you already did the online check-in. Beds and pillows are super comfy. The 20+ beds room is huge and beds are divided into clusters so is like you are in a room of 6 beds only. Bunk beds are just like in the pictures. Garden area is nice, kitchen also good enough for short stays. Location is perfect! Short walk from train and tram station. Light and power outlet on each bed. Big lockers with power outlet inside to leave your phone charging, no need of own lock as they provide the key for each locker.

There is no sign of the hostel outside the building so just look for the address number (44). There are only 2 showers and 2 toilets for the 20+ beds room. Toilets and showers need to be clean properly, toilet everyday at least twice a day. There is no good ventilation in the toilets and guests smoke in there so it smells really bad on top of not been clean enough. No hand soap, also no trash bin inside the toilet room and just outside. Also showers need something to place your cloth and stuff while you take a shower, like a chair/table.

We walked from the train station, for 10 minutes or so and that was great. Location is perfect, right in front of the river and 5 min away from Ponte Vecchio. We checked in right before sunset and the views of Florence were priceless, just steps away from the river and there you are. The property was an old monastery very clean and with many gardens full of flowers, a perfect place to relax. We shared our room with 4 other beds and a bathroom. We had big lockers and the bathroom was clean. The room had a few windows that faced the back patio, simply beautiful. There is always someone at the front desk, so check in was easy every time we came in. Property is close to shops, restaurants and cafes, not too far away by foot to all museums and historic buildings. Would return if I visit Florence again.

They had no towels when we arrived but later on after coming back from dinner they had them so that was great. You do have to pay a small fee to get them.

This place is an old monastery so it was an incredibly cool experience staying here as the place had beautiful art on the ceilings and walls, and a beautiful garden! You get so much space to yourself, like a little loft with a side table to put your things and an outlet. The personal lockers you get are huge and they have outlets inside of them for you to charge things while you're away! The location itself is also great and in walking distance to basically everything.

They definitely need a better system for your room keys. They make you leave your room key at the front desk everytime you leave the hostel and you pick it up when you get back, however they do not ask questions or verify that it's your room key. Because of this, they gave my key to someone else, but they didn't remember who. This makes it easy for someone to steal your stuff because along with the room key is an attached key to your locker. Additionally, the receptionist wasn't the nicest and definitely seemed annoyed whenever any of my friends had a question. Definitely could be cleaner.

The venue and location were excellent. I loved the vibe of the monastery and loved hearing the music from the church attached. The location is city centre so very close to main sites and easily reached from the train station by bus. It was easy to make friends when everyone was in the kitchen. The rooms were lovely as they are designed to make it feel like you have your own nook - very spacious and comfortable.

The kitchen stoves were tricky to use as some were not working or working as well as others. There was also only limited cutlery (3 forks?) so I would suggest some more for a hostel this size!

Such a unique stay! Once a part of the church next door, this hostel IS HUGE. Sure, you walk quite a bit to reach your room, but you walk past paintings and feel like Maria from the Sound of Music - ha ha. The rooms are very big, my friend and I had a whole separated section of the room to ourselves. The beds are built so strong and with so much space! Big stairs to the top bunk Nice bonus of free breakfast to start your day - who doesn't love a fresh croissant filled with Nutella!? Great location!

I was with my friend so we were doing our own thing, but I think if you were a solo traveller the hostel might need some social opportunities.

-I really like the place! The hostel was placed inside of the ancient? church, so the passages were really really stunning! with frescoes on the walls The staff communicated with me a lot and always were accurate in answering my questions. The girls in the kitchen were nice, always gave me 2 cups of coffee during breakfast

The room was extremely cold! It is better to take slippers (the floor was cold as well) and long sleeves pajamas:) I expected to have a curtain in my bed, but nobody did. May be uncomfortable to some, as it was for me

I loved the staff. They were fun and outgoing. I'm an older female, have never stayed in a hostel. The younger staff were very kind to me and available if I needed something. In order to have a bottom bunk, I had to share a room with two young men in their early 20's and late 20's. It was ok, they were respectful and one was gone most of the night. It was like hanging out with my son.:) I enjoyed the full bar in the evening and the breakfast in the morning.

Having to share room with 2 young men. But it wasn't too uncomfortable.

Good location near the river Arno and very close to both the city center and the main train station (Santa Maria Novella). The building is part of a beautiful cloister next to the church of Ognissanti (where Sandro Botticelli and Amerigo Vespucci are buried). 24h open reception. Room with 3 bunk beds was big. Large metal safe to store luggage in the room.

The 3 bunk beds room was pitch black during the night and difficult to move around. The position of bed light and power socket was way too high over the bed (you had to get up in order to switch it off). The light above the mirror in the bathroom was broken and the button for flushing the toilet kept falling down.

The location was great. We loved coming in a very modest entrance and reception before walking through various hidden gardens and cloisters, painted with frescoes, before reaching our room. The upper bunks with stairs and a little space around the bed were appreciated over the alternative of a ladder to a mattress.

The room was rather hot. By turns, we had windows open, tried the air con, and used the very wobbly fan, but it was significantly warmer than the corridor or surrounding public rooms. It wasn't a disaster, but all four of us residents commented on it.
