The hotel is located in the heart of the city, just a short walk from all the major attractions. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is good, and it includes a variety of pastries, croissants, cheese, bread, fruit, and yogurt. The rooms also have mini-fridges and smart TVs where you can use services like Netflix, Disney+, YouTube, and more. I stayed in room 405, which had a beautiful view of the Duomo and the Medici Chapel. The room was well-appointed, and the view was simply breathtaking. I loved waking up in the morning and seeing the Duomo in all its glory. The staff at the Hotel Palazzo Benci was also amazing. They were always friendly and helpful, and they went out of their way to make sure that I had a comfortable stay. They were also very knowledgeable about the city, and they were able to give me some great recommendations for restaurants and things to do.

The rooms could be bigger, and the air conditioning was not able to handle the extreme heat that Florence was experiencing at the time.

The hotel was most welcoming; the staff could not have been more helpful and were always smiling, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere and environment. Our room was impeccably clean throughout our stay with fresh towels changed every day. The outside courtyard within the hotel was an added bonus, a haven of peace and tranquility! And the hotel's proximity to the Santa Maria Novella railway station served us well, as did its proximity to the main churches and museums. Our 4-night stay could not have been better.

We liked everything!

Overall it was a very good stay. Staff was really nice and attentive. My room was super clean, the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was nice, in continental style, with simple but tasty offer, with savoury options available as well and not only sweet. The location is great, really close to Il Duomo and other main attractions. Though the hotel is in a central and crowded part of the city, the windows were soundproof, and you could hardly was hear any noise from the street. I would stay here again.

It did not have that much of an impact thankfully, but the bathroom should be renewed. The drainage system is quite old, as sometimes it took the water a bit if time to go down in the basin, and one time there was a bit of bad smell coming from the pipes. But this happened only once and was not that much of a problem. It would be good to soundproof the walls inside the rooms, in the morning you can hear a bit other guests getting ready, or the staff cleaning the rooms. I would still come again and these 2 things were not that much of a nuisance in the end, just something that should be improved.

This hotel is fantastic in every respect, beyond my expectations! Recently renovated room was very comfortable for my four nights. The buffet breakfast is fresh, delicious with a vast choice and served in a lovely room. All the staff is very friendly and attentive. There's a beautiful courtyard patio. Super clean and tidy and in an excellent neighborhood. Thank you!

The only thing I would suggest is a caddy in the shower (even a simple hanging one), to keep soap, shampoo etc rather than on the shower floor.. Otherwise EVERYTHING IS PERFECT

Excellent, friendly and helpful staff! Good breakfast (though same every day!) Very clean Excellent double glazing so despite being on busy street, it was very peaceful despite singing/music outside till 1am!

Single room was absolutely tiny which wasn't such good value for money given the cost for 6 nights (I had to be that long due to my MA course programme). Absolutely no room to spread out, had to put everything strategically in place - including myself in tiny box shower and I'm a size 10! Really needed to be even slightly bigger. But a double would have cost even more of course.

Such a great location! Less than a 10 minute walk from the main train station. The Duomo, San Lorenzo and so many main sights were less than a 10 minute walk from the hotel, too. The entrance to the Medici Chapel was even right across the street! The Mercato Centrale was less than a 5 minute walk away, with many great restaurants and cafes nearby to choose from. Fairly quiet for such a central location. The double-door windows really kept the outside noise to a minimum. The hotel's breakfast buffet had many great offerings and a machine that produced multiple types of good-tasting hot beverages. The helpers maintained the breakfast area superbly. The foyer of the hotel was immaculate and beautifully decorated. Very classy. All staff members were very cordial to us. Really can't say enough good things about this place!

The only problem that we had was that, halfway through our 11 day stay, the heating system came on and remained too hot in our room to sleep as comfortably as we would have liked. Could not get it lower than 26 Centigrade. Otherwise, the bed and bathroom were comfortable and very clean.

Excepcional location, right in front of the Medici Chapel. Staff super kind and doing their best to help you. Good free wifi. Super silent despite located in a busy area cuz of acustic isolation. Impecably clean. Large and comfortable bed. Very good breakfast for the category. Common areas are spacious and elegant, really pleasant. Bathroom of a good size and sink is huge, you can literally wash your hair in it if you want so.

The shower box is not particularly large.

Great location literally a stones throw away from the Duomo, and the museums. Florence is a small city and therefore very walkable, but I was never more than 5-7 mins away from the main sights. There's tonnes of restaurants and shops nearby Room- The standard hotel room experience. Because I was travelling alone, I booked a single room. However, there was ample space and the bed was big enough. Breakfast- Great Continental spread. There was fresh coffee, croissants and a variety of cold cuts, bread and fruit available daily. Perfect start for a full day of sightseeing and shopping.

Because of the central location, I found that there was a lot of street noise even at late in the night. Although it didn't bother me much, I think if you were looking for silence at night, then you'd struggle.

The location was great for everywhere. So close to all the attractions and to the train station. All the staff were very helpful and wanting to talk with us and get us information. The breakfast room was delightful and a great choice of food and drink. Our room had a wonderful view of the square and we could glimpse the Duoma and Tower. We had so many choices of places to eat and Gelato options galore. Brand new bathroom with our room and option to use the garden or reception area for a drink.

Everything was really great. The hotel is in the center and 5 minutes from train. easy to go anywhere. .Staff was very welcoming ,useful and warm. There is an elevator to the upper flors. Very Nice breakfast but every day is the same. Comfortable beds. Very clean. Over all, I would warmly recommend this place for a tew days stay.

The walls are a bit thin so you can hear the noise from the corridor or the others rooms. There is annoing sound of water in the plumbing throw the walls - maybe because the buildings in florance pretty old
