The location was just great for us, a quiet location, that is just 3 minutes walk from the touristy area, walking distance from the train station, and a minute walk from the river. This was the original reason that we chose this hotel, but once we got there, the staff were super helpful and nice, and the hotel itself was clean, tidy and well maintained, well above expectation, It's a luxury hotel in small package, and we would love to stay again in our future Florence
The only thing I can think of is if they would send a picture of the hotel entrance, as it's in a side street and easy to miss

Solo traveler here from California. This lovely property is modern, serene, very nice and clean, with 2 fabulous greeters/staffers Mariana & Christine. Mariana greeted me with such a warm upbeat informative welcome, it gave me the at home amongst family vibe, included with a brief tour of the room and surroundings, and lastly added in some recommendations to restaurants and the typical sightseeing places for a 1st timer to Italy would want to experience. Excellent maid service I might add, very comfortable bed n pillows, nice lighting in room, AC, great shower. The 3 nights I Stayed here, all were very kind, terrific, and efficient, going beyond what a 5 star hotel would provide. I plan to return next year as there so much to see and do and will most definitely be staying here again. Highly recommended to the adult looking for a quiet location and a 7-10 taxi ride away to the big attractions this beautiful city has to offer up. So much better than being in the middle of bustling streets next to museums. Also, do take a pasta cooking class with unlimited wine drinking with David and his team up the street from the cathedral and David statue/museum. Was one highlight of this trip. Have a great stay, you won’t be disappointed. Ciao!
Perfect location really in a quiet location and just a couple blocks away from so many restaurants and shops.

Very friendly and accommodating personnel. Clean and homey environment, with attention to detail. My room was calm, compact and cozy, perfect for a city base. Liked the feeling of relaxed quality. The bed was extra soft and comfortable. The neighborhood is very nice, easy to walk everywhere. Thanks for the experience.
Saturday evening you could hear some fleeting noise from the street, the same way you would experience at home on the weekend. Nothing too disturbing, I could sleep well. Enjoy the comfy bed!

Where do I start? This was an extremely positive hotel experience! My room was twice the size of previous rooms on this trip, giving me space to open my suitcase, and with a comfortable place to sit and work from my laptop. It had many amenities. The room was clean, comfortable, and stylish. The linens were exquisite! I slept like a baby. The most important thing that I need to rave about is the staff at reception. The service was fantastic! Checkin was efficient but thorough. Most of all, I had a little emergency with some packages that were delivered for me, which I had to somehow pack into suitcases just before racing to the airport. They were helpful and accommodating through this random situation, even making me a coffee. Such amazing ladies! 100 out of 10 for service! I will always stay at this hotel when I’m in Florence; the team has earned my loyalty.

Let me start by saying that this place is beautiful, very clean and looks brand new. The host was very nice and recommended the MOST AMAZING restaurant i have ever eaten at! We did not realize upon booking that this was NOT a hotel. If you are arriving late to this property, make sure to let the host know. Also, we are from Alaska and do not have what's app, which is a sure way to communicate with the host, so make sure that you check your booking account for messages or download what's app. We were lucky and ran into a couple coming into the building, who were able to help us send the host our passport photos, which was the only way to get in and get our key. We did prepay, so if this hadn't worked out, by the grace of God, we would have been out the $400 for the first night. The building was very secure and was very private. The view from our room was of just the alley below. If you are looking for a very private, beautiful clean room, this is the place for you.
The check in process. We did not realize that the host was trying to communicate with us all day. This was not the anyone's fault, we just did not realize how the check in process worked. Make sure to let the host know the exact time you will be checking in.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by Alice who offered us something to drink as it was a really hot day. Once we were comfortable, she provided an extensive range of recommendations for breakfast, lunch, dinner and apertivo. Alice took us up to our room and explained everything. The location was perfect, the room was extremely clean (the hotel itself is very new) and we felt safe with the multiple locked doors. Overall, we had a very comfortable and memorable stay in Florence!
Reception is from 9am - 9pm which was challenging at times but not a big issue. The room was a tad on the smaller size. There aren't many facilities available (e.g. gym, breakfast).

I recently stayed at Porta Nera in Florence for three nights, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. The accommodations were top-notch, with an elegant room that perfectly blended comfort and style. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, always ready to assist with a smile. The location was ideal, allowing easy access to all the city's major attractions. A plus was that it was only steps to iTuscani, The best dining experience I encountered while vacationing in Italy. The hotel’s amenities exceeded all my expectations. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Florence!

Perfect location for exploring Florence. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The property is well maintained and comfortable.
The only reason I can’t the give the property a top rating is that there appears to be a problem with plugged sewers in the street after a rain resulting in a strong sewage smell in the room. We mentioned this shortly after check in and they advised us to run the taps and shower as this could happen occasionally. For the duration of our four night stay we kept the drains closed and ran the shower and taps often. Unfortunately this didn’t solve the problem and the pungent smell persisted throughout much of the time. This is the first time in my many visits to Florence that I’ve had this issue. Otherwise the property is fantastic.

Highlights: lovely staff, clean, super soft bedding (+many pillows😄) quality of shower & amenities, A+location; getting an in-room safe plus a mini frig was A*!
1. A/C didn’t reach programmed temps (grateful for the small fan!) 2. TV kept promoting me to approve some functionality that I knew nothing about so I couldn’t watch anything (only wanted to learn some Italian while there but that didn’t happen) 3. Construction/banging directly above my room, thankful it didn’t start before 9am. Selling factor to book was the kid-free policy soni thought I’d have quiet but the banging was worse than kids running over my head 😳🥺

When we first arrived, the young lady who checked us in, rang a cab for us because we were running late for a reserved tour, (sorry, cannot remember her name). She was very kind and helpful with suggestions about the city, while we waited for the cab. On the next day, we were pick pocketed in the Boqueria and when we realized, we were almost back at the hotel to get our stored luggage. The absolutely, helpful, kind, lovely young lady (I'm so sorry we cannot remember her name either), immediately rang the Boqueria and spoke to the authorities; she also allowed us to use the landline to ring our bank in the USA (we could not get through using our cell) to put a stop to all transactions. We so appreciate her help. We also loved the location of the hotel and the room! Thank you so much. Next time we are in Florence, we will stay here.
