Kind, welcoming and helpful host in Ernesto. Attentive and informative, making sure that you were enjoying your stay, being very patient with my terrible Italian, suggesting places to go and things to see and even taking time to explain the humble beginnings of the hotel and his family’s involvement. Getting to the hotel very straight forward, despite being opposite the main ‘hubs’ of the island, owing to the excellent public transport. Room very comfortable with all of the basic amenities, cleaned to a high standard every morning whilst you dine on the excellent breakfast in the beautiful gardens. My visit was the end of April/beginning of May, so for the majority of my stay it felt like I was the only guest! Maronti Beach on the south side of the island felt similarly deserted. This is no criticism, it was absolutely perfect for me but worth mentioning for other guests that may want more hustle and bustle or for other solo travellers who may feel uncomfortable. I won’t put it in the negatives because it’s absolutely understandable, but dinner wasn’t served for the duration of my stay (one week). A slight disappointment as I had heard very good things about the dinners but, as explained by Ernesto, servings don’t start until higher season when it can be justified. To clarify, the booking was for B & B, so I can’t complain. I will definitely return to experience the food. There are plenty of excellent food options a very short walk from the hotel, along the beach front, so nothing lost ultimately. Overall, I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Perfect for my first visit to this amazing part of the Word, one I hope to return to.

Hotel Maronti is a nice hotel located in a picturesque area, just a few meters from the Maronti beach. It was easy to get to the hotel with a direct bus from the port that passes by the hotel. Room was clean and tidy, the furniture was in good condition, the beds were very comfortable, would be ideal with an air conditioner, the fan was a little weak for the heat that prevailed at that time on Ischia, but taking into account other advantages it was not a big deal. Hotel staff is amazing. Ernesto and his team created a family atmosphere in the hotel, where you feel like you are at home, but at the same time it was not intrusive at all, preserving your privacy so that nothing disturbs your rest. Special thanks to the hotel staff for this. We will gladly return to this wonderful hotel the next time we visit the island.

We arrived on our scooter and were welcomed by the two lovely brothers who seem to run the hotel. We couldn't drive the scooter all the way to the hotel but they helped us find a great parking about two minutes away (cost about 3 eur for one night). The brothers and the rest of the staff made us feel very welcome and taken care of. The room was very clean, not very modern but in a classic style, we felt like home. Lovely view of the mountain and a bit of the sea. Super close to the beach with crystal clear water and serveral nice restaurants. We would love to come back!

we loved our stay at Hotel Maronti! the location was beautiful, and we absolutely loved the garden and entrance to the hotel. Ernesto was a wonderful host, and he helped us out when we needed to find a doctor. All of his staff were very lovely and welcoming, too. We would definitely be back if we came to Ischia again!

We couldn’t find the entrance to the hotel which was very confusing, but we called and they helped us out. Also the wifi didn’t work in our room. But otherwise we loved our stay!

This was by far our favorite place we stayed in Italy. We are still in awe of how peaceful the hotel, beach, and restaurants are. Ernesto was very welcoming when we arrived and so helpful, along with Marco and the other employees, during our entire stay. They all had the perfect blend of engaging in conversation to make you feel at home, but not preventing you from having alone time. For all but two of our meals, we ate at Belmare or at the hotel, and the food was absolutely delicious. Even if the food wasn't perfect, the experience of eating dinner on the terrace would have made the meal worthwhile. You couldn't ask for a better beach vacation than eating a delicious continental breakfast (very different than what we get in the U.S. haha), having lunch on the boardwalk then finishing your drink on the beach chairs (while your hotel room is literally 60 seconds away), then eating dinner prepared by your host and his father, out on the terrace under an olive tree, with the ocean just beyond the hotel property. It was truly idyllic and we can't believe how perfect of a location it was, especially for the price. Smaller things that helped make the trip wonderful: drying racks on one of the terraces for your clothes/swimsuits, ice available upon request, lounge chairs all over the property so you could relax without needing to leave the hotel, and the owners were helpful with any questions we had about the island. We will obviously be coming back here as soon as we can visit Italy again.

If I had to choose, I would say the beds could have been more comfortable and the wifi was a bit spotty. But honestly, these two things happen at almost every hotel and they would never prevent me from visiting. If you're focused on the wifi, you're focusing on the wrong aspect of your vacation. I can't think of anything that is a legitimate "dislike" here!

The location right on the beach is incredible. The building is beautiful and has a lovely setting and the rooms are lovely and clean. Ernesto and all of the staff are lovely and friendly.

Only that the bed was quite uncomfortable

Such a beautiful place - totally unexpected. - Friendly staff, great location - wish we could have stayed longer. Lots of sea glass if you collect.

Only problem were mosquitoes in our room - we left the window open (no screens of course) and we didn't know they have a little vapor thing to help - no one had told us much about anything on check in (little language barrier)

We loved this family run hotel and Ernesto and his team where extremly kind and fun to be with. The evenings on the terrace where relaxing, the other guets where friendly and interesting and the dinners and service were exceptional. The quality of the food was high, only fresh products deliciously prepared with daily changing menues. The sea is a couple of steps away. The perfect bay for all types of swimmers or not swimmers.

We liked everything!

If you're looking for a total relaxation and privacy - this place is definitely for you. Right on Maronti beach, very quiet, Ernesto and his team have exceeded my expectations! They cook great and authentic dinners and breakfast, rooms are spectacularly clean!!! Staff is very very nice and gives you privacy you need. Grazie!!!

It's hard to think of anything!!!!! Maybe matress was too soft for me but it's my personal preference - i like to sleep on hard matress.

Beautiful house with lovely garden and the nicest staff and proprietor. Clean and practical! The sea view from the terraces, the calm and generous atmosphere, and the location next to the wonderful beach is something to come back to.

It is an old building, so no lift or AC, and the shower water pressure was having a bad day, but still more charming than any big modern hotel.
