Antonia was very helpful sorting out parking and details for check-in. She kindly talked us through the area on arrival and recommended places to go to in the evening. The room was very comfortable and the spa bath and shower were very luxurious. Antonia even insisted we have breakfast even though it was just finishing as we came to check out she talked us through all the options and made special effort for my wife who is allergic to dairy and gluten. Really wonderful service!! and the view of the Sassi is incredible.

I really liked this place! The rooms are large, very clean and modern design furnished, the breakfast was buffet type with quality products to choose from! The staff was very friendly. Antonia, the young lady from the reception spoke Romanian and helped us with the accommodation, with valuable information about the places to visit and recommendations for restaurants to book. The owner was also very nice and you could see that he pays attention to all the details to make the guests feel comfortable. I highly recommend Le Origini!

We stayed in one of the luxury rooms. We chose it not for the jacuzzi but for the view: the entrance of the room is in one of the village alley, but then you open the balcony door and you are at the edge of the world. Due to this position, I can imagine that this room is very quiet even in the main tourist season. We visited Matera in November, there where a few people but it was very enjoyable. Excellent breakfast and kind, welcoming staff. Recommended.

Travelled as family of 4 and booked one room. The room was great, spacious and clean with very nice beds. The breakfast was very nice. Local produced food, eggs cooked on the spot and the handmade sbriciolata cake was very good. People at the property were great answering any question clearly and with courtesy.

If you travel by car the hotel is in a limited access area and you get fined if you drive through. The facility did warn us the evening before but had no wi fi at the time. It would have been good to have a clear warning on the site and maybe an explanation a bit earlier to prepare better for this.

Very nice hotel just outside the “Sassi” so the ZTL area. Very big room with the view over the “altopiano”. Breakfast was also very nice with fresh products. The Staff was very nice, if you contact them in advance they can also reserve for you a parking space just outside the “Sassi” for the night.

I think we got a “family room” so additionally to the double bed there were two single bed. We put our bags and clothes on them but we found out they were not clean and full of dogs hair.

Extremely helpful owners who went out of their way to provide information without being in any way intrusive. Character room set into the rock which was cool so in June even though it was 30 degrees plus we could sleep without the aircon. Prime position overlooking Matera and available parking. Superb homemade cakes for breakfast in addition to fresh fruit and local specialities.

The only thing I can think of would be a couple of hooks in the room to hang towels.

We were greeted by Savirio who kindly came running to help direct us to the carpark which was situated in a little lane when we were lost on our way to the hotel. The hotel staff (Antonia) were communicative and responsive via WhatsApp prior to our arrival. The view outside the hotel is beautiful and simply breathtaking. Very convenient location. The breakfast was awesome and had a good spread. The restaurant that was recommended was very near to the hotel and served great food.

The location was very nice. Also the parking was great, we got a spot in the garage which was perfect since we were traveling by a motorbike. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very beautiful, we could enjoy the cool room in a very hot day plus the jacuzzi.

When we arrived we left our luggage on the floor and in the morning when we left, the luggage was full of ants.. literally full of ants. That was truly unpleasant. At the check out we informed the receptionist that they have an ants situation and they asked if we had food in the luggage…which of course we didn’t.
