Location is fantastic. People are very nice. A few stairs but not many. not really a first floor. Very clean. Arranged taxi very well for our departure.

We had to call when we arrived to get instructions for the lock box. It took about 5 minutes to get through. We would have preferred to have a text with the lockbox instructions but they seem to have had problems with people not knowing how to work those in the past. Perhaps could ask the guest, ahead of time, if they would be happy with the lock box instructions in a text message rather calling. We are kind of used to using lock boxes!

Really high-quality accommodation! The host provided good instructions on how to find a place to stay. It was easy to find the place and we could easily park the car in front of the house. The room was really clean, big and beautiful. The shower had good water, the bathroom was clean and the bed was very good. The room had air conditioning and we slept very well. Breakfast was served in the shared kitchen. Breakfast included croissants, coffee and juice. The host couple was really helpful. The location is great, right next to the Duomo and restaurants almost next to the corner. You can get everywhere by foot. The Duomo is incredibly beautiful and comes alive every hour! You have to go to see that! Messina was really beautiful, I will come again!

Absolutely beautiful, immaculate property with all the furnishings throughout sympathetic to the architecture. In addition, the owner Antonella has thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible ie. a small refrigerator in the room containing water, a safe, a map of the city, umbrellas etc - she also sent details of sightseeing and restaurant recommendations and we took her advice on three - all were excellent. The location of the B&B also couldn't be better, literally two minutes walk to the Piazza del Duomo.

Really centrally located and easy to find. Our host Antonella made sure checkin went smoothly and explained some of the sights to see and where to eat in Messina. Breakfast was really well done with plenty of choices. If anything stood out the shower was amazing, great pressure and well regulated. Room was very clean and well appointed and bed very comfortable. Would stay again if we ever return to Messina.

Stayed for three nights in mid-September. Four rooms available. Location on quiet street, near Duomo and many dining options. Clean, comfortable accommodations, all the facilities work. Comfortable bed, and A/C worked fine. Remote check-in with instructions on checking in from ‘What’s App’. Quick response from proprietor. Basic breakfast: cereal, croissants, coffee and juice.

This was a very charming place to stay and we loved our short time here! The host is very quick to respond, extremely helpful and check-in was really easy. We had trouble with our taxi driver and she came out to help us sort it out (don't take a taxi from outside the train station, call an uber or call radio taxi instead!!!). The rooms were clean and comfortable. It is in a very walkable location and Antonella the host gave great recommendations on day trips and things to see. We didn't use the kitchen but it was a nice, clean shared space with some coffee and tea and light refreshments provided! I wouldn't hesitate to book here again.

Nothing to complain about!

Exceptionally clean and beautifully furnished rooms. Antonella and her staff were wonderful, so helpful and nice. The self check in was easy and painless. Highly recommend! Fantastic location.

Parking wasn't necessarily easy to figure out on our own (the city's issue, not Il Galleone's), but Antonella was easy to reach through Booking.com messenger and telephone. She explained everything quickly and parking was a breeze after that!

This room was huge! It was really clean and the bed was comfortable. The air conditioner worked well too! The bathroom was spacious and clean. Our host Antonella was extremely responsive and helpful. She gave us restaurant and activity recommendations. She also let us store our bags after checkout which was much appreciated. There was free coffee and snacks in the shared kitchen area, which was amazing. We were also given breakfast vouchers for a cafe down the road which was good. We would 100% stay here again!

The fridge wasn’t that cold, but other than that, nothing!

Exceptional immaculately clean spacious ensuite rooms and warm hosting. Friendly relaxed conversations with hosts in breakfast area. Very attentive to our needs. Messina is an understated gem with plenty of good restaurants around and above Plaza Duomo. Being on the rail it is a good base for both coastlines and more peaceful to stay in than the attractive but frenetic Taormina which is about 40 mins by train.

The location, within 1 block of the Duomo square, was perfect. We were able to walk to everything that we needed/wanted to explore. The hostess was exceptional in trying to assist us to address travelling tasks such as finding a laundry within walking distance that was so clean and perfectly met our needs, even on Easter w/e. Breakfasts were prompt and great croissants! great hot water in the shower too!
