Very nice, welcoming staff. Convenient location. Very clean. Attractive, comfortable room with just about everything I needed. Amazing breakfast.

I had trouble with the shower apparatus. Sometimes there was hot water and other times just cold. I'm not sure what I did wrong, if anything. It's my fault that I didn't say anything about it earlier in my stay. It can be very noisy in the street outside. This is not the hotel's fault. The walls between rooms are thin. It's fine if the person in the next room is quiet, but one night the man next door had a very long, loud conversation on his phone until around 2 in the morning. I heard every word.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Location is excellent, it is walking distance (with cases on wheels) from the port. Next to a friendly bar for early evening drinks and watching the world go by. The room was very clean, it looked out onto a thoroughfare in the Spanish Quarter but we didn’t find it noisy. It was nice that coffee was available free of charge between 6am and midnight. Also nice to have hair straighteners as well as a decent hairdryer in the bathroom.

Storage is limited but it wasn’t a problem as we only stayed 2 nights.

Where do I start? We loved everything about our stay at this beautiful little hotel. The staff were exceptional and they all went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Maria, Flavia and Nello were absolutely wonderful. When we arrived the taxi driver wanted only cash and we didn’t have any as her. Maria paid for the taxi until we got cash to pay her back. On the day before we left, we needed to buy bus tickets and we were having trouble with our email so Nello booked the bus tickets and paid with his own visa card! We then gave him the cash. The breakfast was excellent with fresh and delicious food. The guests were encouraged and welcome to go to the dining area at any time if they were hungry to make a coffee or have a snack. The area that the hotel is in has a great and busy vibe with an array of excellent restaurants to choose from. It is also very close to areas of interest and the metro.

Me and my wife recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Il Convento in the heart of Naples, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The building hosting the hotel is a historical one, later converted to a hotel; hence it has a traditional atmosphere. Our room was spacious, simple but elegantly furnished, and immaculately clean, offering all the modern amenities one could wish for (even hair straighteners are included). The beds are comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. Some may find the mattress to be soft. What truly sets the hotel apart is Marco and the staff. Every member of the team is friendly and professional. Marco kindly guided us and offered insightful recommendations for local attractions, while the housekeeping staff maintained the room to the highest standard - every interaction was a pleasure. The hotel provided a truly memorable stay. We wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking comfort, great location, and outstanding service in Naples.

This hotel is in a fantastic location. We were a little unsure having read the guidebooks, which warn tourists off the Spanish Quarter, but it was fine. Bustling and vibrant with lots of places to eat, drink and shop just off the popular Via Toledo. The metro is just a 5 minute walk away and is really easy to navigate around the city. Breakfast was superb with lots of choice, delicious pastries and the singing waiter looked after me with my gluten free meal requirements. You can get tea and coffee at all times, the room was comfy, shower hot and when you close the windows it shuts out the noise of the streets outside completely. The staff all sing, Marco gave us a friendly welcome and could often be heard singing to himself on reception and we were treated to another of our hosts beautiful voice on our last night. Highly recommended little hotel!

If you like your bedroom to be completely dark at night then I’d advise packing a sleeping mask as there’s a bright green light on the air conditioning unit. Otherwise no problems at all.

Very friendly staff at the hotel. Great breakfast for being in Italy. The location of the hotel could not be any better, you are in middle of everything plus you have walking distance to both the Metro and Ferries if you want to visit other places during your visit. They also give you free water bottles everyday in your minibar which is very pleasant in the heat. Free coffee almost the entire day aswell. Overall a very good stay! 😀

It might just have been our room but it was a little bit noicy, you could hear other guests if they were talking/screaming. (They do give you earplugs though!). Maybe a little hard bed. But other than that nothing to complain about. Recommend staying at this hotel.

The location was right in the Spanish district of the city and you certainly felt like a local. The staff was very accommodating in letting us check in early and were helpful I suggesting places to eat. It was a bit noisy at night, but quieted by 10pm. Many good family run restaurants nearby.

The evening hotel manager wanted to recharge us for the room, so certainly glad I had all Booking.com info in one place. The alley(streets) were dangerous as cars and scooters took the right of way. A few blocks away is the pedestrian Toledo Avenue for safe shopping and dining.

Comfortable bed and bedding, beautiful renovated bathroom, super clean, lovely breakfast rooms with excellent breakfast, terrific staff.

Furniture in room and on our patio needs refreshing. We had only one night table and no bedside reading lamps, though one was supplied as soon as we requested. Location in Quartieri Spagnolo, while central to everything, is incredibly noisy and crazy busy. We would stay here again, but not for more than a night or two.

Everyone at Il Convento was welcoming and helpful. The room was a good size and our bed was incredibly comfortable. It was very quiet despite being in the heart of the Spanish Quarter. We loved the location. And they really put so much work into the breakfast buffet. There were plenty of delicious options for everyone. It was delicious. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent friendly staff, great location in the fascinating old Spanish quarter of Naples. Easy access with only three minutes walk to the nearest metro station. The bathroom had a bath as well as a shower. Good breakfast, with tea and coffee available all the time. The tiny balcony made a good place to sit with a cup of tea and watch the world go by.

The room was rather dark, with the window covered with shutters that were not very easy to open.
