Our flight got in late and then we had to wait in a queue for a taxi to the property. Communication was great and they patiently waited for us to arrive. We were famished when we arrived and recommended a late night restaurant. After showing us to our room, they delivered ice for our cocktails. Breakfast was easy and served quickly. Thank goodness for the Italian coffee culture, coffee was the real deal and delicious, no Nespresso or "quick serve" coffee machines used here. LOVED the balcony, although the sun over takes the balcony fairly early in the morning. We would have loved to sit out there at the end of the day with a glass of wine.

Odd smell in the maze of a hallways to get to the room. Honestly wasn't sure I could find my way back down to the lobby, but my husband knew the way and skipped the very, very, very slow lift that will only take you up 1 floor.

It is a family business. The owners and staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was limited but they made omlet for us and orange juice every day as we do not eat pork. A/C is working fine. Every where is clean. Location is good and close to main shopping street, harbour and historical attractions. The WiFi was good.

The bathroom size is little small but functional. Elevator is not stopping at floor's levels, but staff took to room our luggages during check in/out. The TV screen is small and it was all Italian channels.

The location of Suite dei Catalani is excellent for exploring Naples. It's a short 12 minute walk to Piazza del Plebiscito, past Castel Nuovo and Teatro San Carlo from where you can explore the Basilica, Palazzo and grab a coffee from Caffé Gambrinus, walk along the Lungomare sea front sretch to towards Castel dell'Ovo and it's surrounding seafood restaurants or head up via Toledo towards the Spanish Quarter (stop at Antica Pizza Fritta da Zia Esterina Sorbillo for a quick bite and La Sfogliatella Mary for something sweet). It's also 4 minutes from Municipio and 5 minutes from Universita metro stations from where you can make your way towards any sights that might be out of your walking distance. It cost us a flat fare of €30 to get from airport by taxi and then we were under 10 minutes by taxi (€11) to get to Porto Nolano train station for a train to Sorrento - this is where the train to Sorrento (Herculaneum and Pompeii) starts so is quieter than getting on at Garibaldi, particularly with luggage. Space wise the room was brilliant with a comfortable bed, plenty of pillows, space for 2 large cases and 2 large bags to be opened out and still the ability to walk around easily plus a well sized bathroom which appears to be fairly new. The staff were also incredibly helpful with tips of places to visit and provide a very warm welcome. There's also a nice breakfast provided in the morning to set you up for the day.

The location was amazing... the rooms were quaint and very clean. We had a balcony and view onto the street but it was incredibly quiet. The AC worked very well and the breakfast was great especially the cappuccinos!!! But the most special part of my stay was meeting our host Marina... I had a medical issue occur and needed to seek medical attention at a hospital. She went above and beyond to ensure I was taken care of. She even kept in touch when i left to see if i was doing better. She is a true gem. THANK YOU so much Marina. I will remember your kindness forever. We LOVED this property! The location is right next to the port, so it’s easy to get to Capri or Amalfi. It’s fairly close to the train station too, though not really walkable if you have luggage. The staff here was so, so great. I’m fairly certain this is a family-run property, and they work to make you feel like you’re a guest in their home. The room we stayed in was so unique and modern with a beautiful balcony. The room was spacious, the A/C worked very well, and we would definitely stay here again!

The accommodation is located in a very central location, close to the port, the historical district and the hop on hop off bus stop. The people who work there are very kind and helpful, which makes the atmosphere so familiar. The breakfast is varied and delicious. Everything was perfect.

Friendly and helpful staff - the owner was very kind in making restaurant recommendations when we asked, and in helping us to book a taxi to our next destination when our ferry was cancelled. Room was tidy and clean. Outside street noise was mostly blocked in the room. Convenient location within short walking distance to the port, train station, and restaurants / city centre.

Great location to access all parts of the city you need by foot. Our host was lovely and kind and her staff very attentive and treated us like family. They remembered our likes and catered to that each day. If you intend on walking a good deal and wish for a hotel that feels more like a local apartment, then this be is a perfect choice.
