We recently stayed just one night at Family Affair. We wish we could have stayed another night as it was extremely nice. The staff are super friendly and the room was absolutely beautiful. The hotel is situated near the central historical section of Palermo easily in walking distance to many of the sites and also lots of good restaurants. The breakfast was very delicious with lots of yummy items and great cappuccinos. We were there for my sons birthday and they even made him a little cake. It was so sweet!!

Everything was perfect for us. I think if we had rented a car I would not have liked driving there, but we took a cab from the airport instead.

We had a fabulous 6 nights in Palermo and stayed at Family Affair. From the moment we arrived the staff were excellent, they were friendly, attentive- nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in one of the suits and the other couple we were with stayed in a deluxe double with balcony - the rooms were amazing! The location is excellent too! Close enough to walk to the main attractions but situated in a quiet street, away from the busy streets. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were really good at ensuring food options available were refilled when required. We loved our stay at Family Affair and will definitely return.

Everything was really good!

Very nice and helpful staff, smooth check-in and check-out. The hotel is beautiful and even though we probably had the smallest and least interesting room, it was still very comfortable. The location is in a quiet street in a nice new part of Palermo, close to a big square and shopping districts with restaurants. It's also about a 10-15 minute walk from the old town where the main attractions are. The breakfast was very tasty and elegant, with great deserts, tapas-style fingerfood and all sorts of goodies. We had to leave early on our final day and so missed the breakfast, but they prepared some food and juice in packages for us.

The corridor with rooms is accessed through a door that's locked in the evening and there's a switch next to the door which everyone presses thinking it's a light switch. However, in reality it's a doorbell, so you might be woken up by its ringing at least once every night.

We enjoyed our 4 day stay. Emanuela, the manager welcomed us warmly. Check-in hours were very flexible which we appreciated a lot. The apartment building is very easy to find and the parking lot (20 euros/day) just around the corner which was very convenient! At first, we were surprised by the size of the room ... VERY small but well equipped, well decorated and cosy. In the room, there was valuable information on restaurants. Exceptionally spotless and very well organized: linen, mattress, pillows were very comfortable. Many commodities are provided in the bathroom: body soap, shampoo, etc. Breakfast was perfect for us. Fresh products, nice variety. We quote our stay 11/10.

This was a wonderful place to stay. The room was comfortable with a nice bathroom and shower. The staff were very friendly. The neighborhood was very quiet and not touristy at all. The breakfast was excellent. We stayed there because we had a car, and they offered a nearby parking garage, which was valet style parking for 20€. The wifi was good and fast enough to upload photos

There was not much not to like. We had a slight snafu when we arrived on Sunday afternoon and the garage was closed until 7pm so we had to drive around a bit to find a place on the street, but it wasn’t too difficult.

there was always plenty of parking outside of this quiet well run B&B. The rooms were charming, modernised but respectful of the buildings original details, (The ceilings are all painted with ornamental details.) The breakfasts were self service, well stocked and displayed. Homemade yogurt and hard boiled eggs with high quality cold cuts as well as cannolis, croissants and cereals daily. The old town was about a 20 minute walk but we frequently drove and parked close by and found parking quite easily.

we were very happy staying here

The place was perfect!, the rooms were really nice, super clean and the design was so peaceful and modern, all at the same time. The staff was so lovely, specially Ramona the owner, she was so kind when I arrived and gave me a nice surprise when I noticed I got an upgrade on my room without any additional cost. Pleasure to meet you!! If you ever come Mexico don't hesitate on contacting me for any recommendation =) [email protected] For sure I recommend Family Affairs to anyone visiting Palermo.

December 2022

I liked everything about Family Affair Palermo! I stayed for a week in December 2022. The room was exquisite and very good value for the money, well equipped, clean, beautiful, with a very comfy bed and sofa, a desk where I could work, and a minibar. I especially liked the shower - forest green marble tiles which felt luxurious. Everything looked new and the room was decorated with taste. The location is also great - a quiet, safe neighbourhood but close to many attractions and maybe a 35 min walk from the train station. The breakfast is delicious. What made my stay extra special was the wonderful, helpful staff. They truly made my stay special, because I felt so welcome and well taken care of. They were extremely professional, knowledgeable about the area and it’s history, and went far beyond my expectations. I for example had to check in late and requested an airport transfer and both were arranged promptly. I also had to leave early for a tour and they arranged for me to have a small breakfast in my room before the normal breakfast hours. What really blew me away was when I stupidly forgot my sunglasses at the hotel during check out and they delivered them to me to the train station! I have never ever, anywhere in the world, experienced hotel staff as friendly as at Family Affair Palermo - even with my many special requests. I can recommend Family Affair Palermo to anyone visiting Palermo.

The location was very good in a safe area with some nice restaurants and wine bars within walking distance. We got a bus from the airport which had a stop within the area and reached the hotel within walking distance. The hotel was very stylish and exceptionally clean. The breakfast was very good with good verity of choice. Very friendly and helpful staff.

If I was being picky a softer pillow however I never asked and had I done so I’m sure I would have been provided with one.
