Stayed for 2 nights, the owner waited for us although we arrived very late, thanks for that. The instructions were clear, the attitude very nice. Fascinating view from cozy balcony, kind of chill zone, I felt really happy for that! Facilities were nice. Very comfortable place to stay. Also interesting interior.

First time had a private external bathroom, had to go through the hall to access it every time, it seemed to be a little uncomfortable, there also was noisy during working hours due to repair in process. The breakfast at the cafe was not enough for us (coffee + 1 croissant only), but it’s just because we are used to huge breakfast .

Very nice room with bathroom and everything you need, also delicious coffee, tea and water in the refrigerator :) The coffee was great :) The owner was very, very helpful, explained us where to eat delicious pizza and how to make our tour trough the landmarks of Palermo in a very easy way :) It was really a great pleasure to communicate with him! The room and the bathroom were very clear, also the location was fantastic - near to the center in a good and quiet area. Very comfortable bed, and a delicious breakfast in the bar, near to the appartment, with great cappuccino:) I highly recommend this place for staying in Palermo!

After the initial surprise in regards to the area and lift in the building, I realised the host have done a very good job on providing a very comfortable bed a big room and decent stay at a very low cost… plus coffee and tea facilities.

The area in which is located is quite rundown but after walking around, we realised it is quite close to the centre and better kept areas in the city. Looks like backstreet situation is not nice in Palermo.

Great place, we stayed two nights, it was comfortable to move around the city. Even though we came with a car, we walked everywhere by foot. The parking is free so that’s great! Breakfast was by far the best we had in a while! It was clean, had a balcony and the necessities were given by the host😊

If your a light sleeper keep in mind that other guests might be loud and the walls are quite thin 😄

The communication from the owner was fantastic. The room was good value for money & clean with a very comfy bed and together with the expresso machine + Netflix this made it an enjoyable stay. Small hiccup on our side but the owner was very understanding. Well worth the money.

We had an excellent stay at Stella Maris. The room and bathroom was clean and stylish - with a great view from our balcony - and the location is great. Walking distance to all the main sites, near plenty of great bars and restaurants. The staff were so friendly and took time to provide recommendations. Would definitely come back!

Stuff was super kind, helpful, and responsive. Location is very strategic. You’re 15 min walk away from train station and via maqueda. Even closer to Ballaro’ market.

If i have to be picky, the accommodation got pretty hot. While air conditioning came to the rescue in the bedroom, i couldn’t do much about it in the bathroom. In their defence, i was there in July during a heat wave so that didn’t help!

I really enjoyed spending a week in Palermo being accommodated here. Communication with Ivan is very easy as he speaks english as well and he is available on the whatsapp, willing to help in any case. The room and bathroom were very clean and nice. Spot is close to the city centre, but quite quiet during the night.

Located about a 15min walk from the centre of Palermo. Mario is such a friendly host and will happily answer any questions you have about your stay or Palermo. He has a load of stories to tell and has certainly lived a full life. We even went out for dinner together on my first night there and he pointed me in the right direction for the rest of my stay. Mario will also prepare breakfast for you each day if you would like or you can make your own. The bed and facilities were basic but everything worked well and I actually loved that it had a bit of a Bohemian/lived in feel to it.

The only downside I would say and this is no fault to Mario at all. The area where the building is, is a little dirty and after dark it's not very well lit which may confuse some people especially if you don't know where you're going.

Mario is an amazing host. He went out of my way to make me feel welcome and even took me around Palermo to show me the sights! We had dinner together! Mario was amazing and even repaired my suitcase for me which a wheel had come off. He has amazing local knowledge. The room was perfect and the lift very easy once he carefully explained to me how to use it. Mario was very helpful in assisting me to arrange tours. The room is decorated with local homely culture and decorations. The wifi is excellent as is the hot water and breakfast. Thank you Mario for an amazing stay the past 5 nights and I hope to see you again in New Zealand or perhaps Brazil.
