Gorgeous views from the property, an old monastery. Excellent dinner at very reasonable rates. Free parking on the roadside, which is really good as it is not convenient to reach this place if not by car or walking the Cinque Terre trails. They provide a free shuttle to go down to Monterosso in the morning and back in the evening before 7pm, which is extremely convenient.

It was pretty cold and we did not have any blankets for the first night. Since they could not yet put the heaters on, they should provide blankets by default on each bed. Later nights were fine. The rooms remain very "monastical", i.e. comfort is minimal and there is no wifi except in the restaurant area (good or bad, depends on you).

This property was located in the hills overlooking the sea, it was about a 15 mins drive from the main village of Montorosso. It is an ideal location for those who want to peace and quiet and those who are there for the hiking and walks. The property provided a shuttle bus to the main village in the mornings and a pick up later in the evening. For those who do not have a car this was a great service, a taxi could be used too if you wanted to go into the town in the evening, around 20 euro per trip. We were so happily tired in the evening that we were more than happy to eat in the restaurant on site and go to bed early. The bedrooms were simple and very clean, everything you need was provided including a private bathroom. The food in the restaurant was delicious and plenty of choice, amazing breakfast was also included to set you up for the day. If you are looking for a beautiful location in a peaceful setting then this is the place for you.

Maybe if there was a more frequent shuttle service that would be helpful for those without a car who wanted to go back to the property before 6pm.

Beautiful location, in the middle of forests. Staff where lovely and caring.

Room needs to be more equiped. For example, electric kettle, toaster, table top cooker some utensils and plates. Maybe a TV in the room. One must remember that the place is not within the reach of shops or restaurants. Their restaurant is quite good. But you will forget what's bad when you see the place and it's position.

Stunning location in the hills above the Cinque Terre, on a historical pilgrimage route that ran from Rome to Santiago di Campostella. Away from the crowds of Monterosso. Not a touristy hotel, though it was full, but a retreat to pause and enjoy the countryside, its history and its produce. Nice local food at good prices.

If you expect a shiny new hotel this is not for you! It's all about atmosphere and history.

Very quiet , beautiful location , away from the busy Cinque Terre towns. We walked down from the Santuario NS Soviore once, but it was very challenging for us. After that we used the shuttle which was complementary with our accommodation. We could take the shuttle at 6 pm from Monterosso, and the shuttle would leave from the hotel 9:15 am to Monterosso. We had dinner at the monastery, and that was great! The buffet breakfast was plentiful, very good! The ladies at the check in were very helpful! Unfortunately I do not know the name of the blond lady, she even gave us very helpful tips where to stop, what historical sights to visit on our way to Lake Garda! Very knowladgable, extremely helpful! Gracie !

- No AC in the room (had to sleep with windows open - Worn-out bathroom and facilities - No soap for washing hands - Beautiful view but you can’t see it from the rooms because of the trees (you can only see it form the fence - If you’re not religious be prepared that the church bell will ring every hour the whole day until 10 p.m. - The place is very far up (450 m above the sea) in the mountains (but the view and calmness makes up for it

Wonderful quiet location with very approachable friendly staff most of whom spoke very good English. Very clean rooms and since it was a cold April when we stayed, the rooms were kept comfortably warm. Views from premises over Monterosso are wonderful. As a base in Cinque Terre for walking/ train journeys, excellent.

Accommodation a bit more basic than expected and bathroom/ shower a little cramped but manageable Location is good if you have access to a car (we did). Otherwise a little distant from nearest town (Monterosso).

As others have said the property is far from the town. I would suggest getting a cab there when you first arrive. The cabs are at the train station but you might wait a while to get one. After that you can reserve the santuario’s shuttle to go back and forth from the town -it is a lot easier to communicate with the staff in petson than on the phone. In petsonnthey are very helpful.

The whole experience was pleasant. Starting with the receptionist Daine's welcome and efficiency. She is the best thing this place has (in addition to the kitchen staff) Some highlights: - clean room and comfy beds - Francesco the Shuttle driver is a plus - Breakfast and every meal we had were very good. Don't miss the freshly baked cakes and tarts - the sunsets are out of the world. A reward when we return from a long day of exploring and hiking in chinque terre - parking is convenient and FREE!!!
