My recent stay at Domus Getsemani was an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped in, I knew I was in for a treat. The breakfast spread at Domus Getsemani is a food lover’s dream. From freshly baked pastries to hearty breakfast sandwiches, there’s something for everyone. The location couldn’t be better situated. It’s conveniently close to the renowned Vantican Musuem, as well as public transportation, making it a breeze to explore the city. Whether you’re heading to the historic district or catching a train to the outskirts, you’re just steps away from the action. The staff also deserve a standing ovation. They were attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist. Whether I needed directions or recommendations for nearby historic interests, they went above and beyond to make my stay memorable.

breakfast had a choice of fruit, pastries, yoghurts and tea, coffee and juices. Coffee is prepared by the staff and is very good. Room was big, comfortable and very clean. It was facing the street but was not that loud if you live in a city. It was around 20 mins away from the Vatican on foot and the furthest landmark is the Colosseum which took around 1.5 hours relaxing walk by the river to arrive (including stopping to admire the scenery and take pictures). WIFI was great with full connection. Property is on top of a hill accessible by a steep hill from the Vatican side or stairs from the metro (Cipro) side. Staff was very helpful and cordial and check in process was VERY easy. They let us keep the luggage before and after check in and out times without paying. I will stay in the same property when I visit Rome again.

The beverages vending machine has bad cappuccino and espresso so I suggest to take a travelling kettle if you like to have a coffee in your room.

This is a charming very Italian guesthouse. I loved it and felt at home straight away. My room over looked the scene in the photo. The staff were kind and always welling to help. There was tea available 24/7 in the breakfast room. Breakfast was very Italian and I enjoyed it. The front of the building faces the wall to the Vatican and on a relatively busy road so I never felt unsafe. I walked everywhere but there is a bus stop a few doors down the road (bus 49).

I liked it all!!! When the hairdryer in my room didn't work they gave me another to use.

it's REALLY far from the center of rome (10 min walk to the subway and then 10 min subway ride, or 40-50 minute walk). poor sound insulation in room. Tourist tax must be paid in cash on arrival (small sum, but it's annoying)

The location was nice and quiet, close to the Vatican (~10-15 minute walk) which is what I needed for this stay. The room was comfortable and I felt very safe and cozy during my holiday visit to Rome.

Not very soundproofed--could hear doors closing, TVs, and people talking. This didn't bother me too much for a short stay, but if you're looking for a silent place to stay, this won't be it.

Breakfast was not the best I've had, but it was substantial, with hot drinks being prepared by the hotel staff. The bedroom I was allocated overlooked the back of the Vatican on Viale Vaticano. If you decide to do a Vatican tour, the tours start approx 400 metres from the hotel (out and left from the hotel) at the Vatican Musee entrance on this same street. There is a Metro station "Cipro" close to the hotel which is on the A line that goes through and beyond Roma Termini - the main railway station. The "Piazza del Risorgmento" (follow Vatican walls down to the left) is good for bars and restaurants. If you plan to arrive at the hotel after 2200, you will be given explicit instructions (via Whatsapp) including photographs for a code to the main gate and once in the grounds, a code to access reception (entry, down the steps) and then the location of your room key, within the reception area. Nothing difficult regarding this procedure.

Maybe the breakfast wasn't up to scratch, but it certainly wasn't the worst I've encountered on my travels over the years.

Although this a very simple 80s style motel-like room, I had a fantastic sleep. I liked the view of the valley, from my window and the proximity to Cipro subway. The place has a good energy..

Rather nosy, I could hear the tv next door and people stomping on the stairs in the morning. The shower is in the room. It reminded me of my trips as a student. The rooms facing the street might get traffic noise, I had a garden view. Iit is located right by walls of the Vatican, but at the other side of the entrance, so you would have to take a bus. Breakfast is just a pile of supermarket sweet pastries.

The room is clean, although it's a small room. It's good that everything is within the room. The location is next to Vatican, so very convenient if visit Vatican. Many shops or restaurants nearby.

The breakfast is a bit simple for the price. The shower is small. Power plugs could be limited in a few rooms. The bus stop is a bit far away and also has a long staircase to climb.

Room was very nice with a nice view of the wall around the Vatican. There were vending machines downstairs and breakfast was continental. There was a small balcony so you could stand out and watch the world go by. Secure parking available on site, but it's a bit tight so be prepared. Location is ideal for Vatican and Castillo St Angelo, buses are available readily for getting around other parts of Roma.

Plug sockets were limited for euro travel adaptors, should have got Italian specific ones so our fault more than the hosts issue

Domus Getsemani is great quarters by the Vatican Muzeums and close to St. Peter's Basilica; also close to Rome. Nice people, who rent accomodation.:) I got a help in communicating in my poor English. Delicious Italian breakfasts with drinks, especially delicious coffee! I felt very good there.:) It's friendly place.:) The room was well equipped with air conditioning, tv and a beautiful view on the basilica and cross to pray.
