Location was perfect. Apartment was clean, nothing special but perfect for a city break. We were met at the door by Emanuele where he gave us the keys and ran through some do and dont’s. He then sat at the kitchen table and proceeded to divulge an immense amount of valuable advice about the area and Rome itself. He did not have to do this yet he did and we will be forever grateful as it made our stay in Rome even better. Can’t recommend enough.

The location is fabulous, far enough away to avoid street associated noises, but with easy access to the neighbourhood and the entire city. The terrace is amazing, superb views of the city, the perfect place for cocktails and relaxation. There were lots of clean towels and clean sheets. The kitchen is equipped for basic food preparation. Rooms are well proportioned.

The apartment needs a refresh, nothing serious and it wouldn’t stop me from booking the apartment again, again the location and terrace are great, but the shower has a moderate mould issue and the duvet was stained and worm, as we’re the patio furniture cushions. If you’re put off by such things this might not be the apartment for you.

Location was excellent in Trastevere. Close to restaurants and easy walking to where we wanted to go.

Stairs and heavy luggage were very difficult to navigate.

Central location

On 3rd floor, no lift, stairs are poorly lighted with dim bulbs made worse by solid terracotta lamp shades, hand rails are wobbly, feel unsafe by disabled people. Kitchen is on the top via a spiral staircase not ideal for disabled people. Only 1 wash basin and 1 shower for an accommodation that takes 4 people, the wash basin is in the en-suite which means one has to climb up to kitchen to wash hands after using the cloakroom as it doesn’t have a wash basin. The kitchen is not well equipped for cooking, no microwave, the kettle was not electric but they provided one on our request, we were told to send email for the microwave request but they never replied.

The location and the terrace. Good views.

The only shower in the flat is in the en-suite for the main bedroom. Therefore the second bedroom guests have to go through the main bedroom to get to the shower as well as a wash hand basin. Flat just felt really tired and worn.

location, view

It was completely unloved and needed a good scrub all over. Mould in the bathroom, hideously stained duvet, dirty walls…shameful. The furniture was falling apart and filthy. There was only 1 mug in the kitchen. We did all that we could to minimize time in the apartment. The owners should be ashamed

Location: apartment is in one of the quieter, jasmine scented streets of the vibrant Trastevere neighbourhood. Just a few minutes away from the start of the passeggiata zone you benefit from peaceful nights but have countless bars, cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance. Historic fountains and churches round every corner. Great little mini market down the block. View: roof terrace provides great views across Rome and a lovely place to eat outside, or just relax and catch some sun between excursions to the attractions in the more frenetic city centre. Kitchen: equipped with everything you could need and a nice place to dine due to the windows onto the roof terrace. Bedrooms: both very spacious and light and airy due to high ceilings. Beds large and comfortable. En-suite: decent size for a city centre rental in an old building. Shower was pretty good. Air con: although we visited in May rather than August it seems to work well.

Spiral staircase to kitchen/roof: a tight fit for most people of normal size and requires your FULL attention when ascending/descending. The cast iron treads were actually uncomfortable in bare feet. Would present problems for anyone with even mild mobility issues but TBH I guess if you have any movement issues you're not going to rent an apartment with 8 flights of stairs in the 1st place. Decor: a little tired and needs a freshen up, but clean and tidy otherwise. Some woodwork and fittings need replacing. Living room: nice big sofa in a fairly small space. Just about OK for our party of 3 but probably a tight fit for 4 adults. 12 o'clock gun: just 300 yards from the Janiculum Hill, the midday blast is VERY loud. If, like me, you "forget" to mention it to the rest of your party you should be prepared for some startled reactions...
