Pool was great - except the mandatory wearing of the swim caps. We wore them, but would have preferred not to use them. Breakfast was great. Staff were very helpful in providing me with a tray so that I could bring back breakfast to my sleeping daughter. Loved the variety of breakfast. Staff at reception were so helpful in calling taxi, transfers and providing information.

A lot of surrounding noise during the night / and morning. We were on the 2nd floor and the noise from the above floors was very disruptive. A higher floor would be much better. We choose this hotel for the close proximity to Trastevere and the pool - which were both great. We do walk a lot so I wasn't concerned with how far away the attractions where - however we did end up taking taxis more than I thought we would.

Smoking in the outdoor dining area. There was man who smoked very smelly cigars everyday. He would enter the dining area several times a day just smoke his cigars. The smoke was thick and wafted across the entire area. Is he a staff member?

The Hotel is beautiful! It is located in Trastevere above the city. There are a few restaurants within walking distance and an absolutely amazing view of Rome from the park just down the street, along with Fontana dell'Acqua Paola. The rooms were immaculate, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming.

The only thing we didn’t care for was the constant dog barking. The hotel is located across the street from a residential property. There were two German shepherds that barked at all hours of the day and night.

Ariana and the staff in the dining hall were excellent and gave fabulous service. However, on our arrival other staff members were less attentive and helpful. Our rooms weren't ready and the bar was closed. No alternative or helpful suggestions were offered to us. We felt like an inconvenience to the gentleman behind the reception. The hotel staff otherwise were lovely. The breakfast was delicious and a comprehensive range of dishes were available. They made a packed breakfast for our last morning, which was ok. The rooms were beautifully clean and the rooms were remade to a high standard every day. The hotel Hasan air of faded grandeur which can be seen as charming and quaint. This obviously would not appeal to everyone, but my friend and I really enjoyed our stay. The walk down to the Trastevere was delightful and easy ( except for the hills). The views and our high step count more than made up for the extra hard walking. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We loved that the hotel was on the border of the Trastevere area, just 20 minute walk to the Tiber, 30 minute walk from Vatican city, and on the way many little osteria's, restaurants, cafe's, shops etc. and then the "ancient" city at your feet to be explored. The breakfast in the hotel was fantastic, the best scrambled eggs, grilled tomatoes and mushrooms I've ever had, I've been traveling for work almost 29 years, I think it says something.

The rooms are noisy, understandable because it is a very old building and walls and floors are un-insulated wooden structures, the hotel did provide ear plugs, which was very thoughtful. Reading back in the website this is mentioned.

The pool was amazing. A really good size, deep with crystal clear water and plenty of sunbeds. It exceeded our expectations and the seated drinks area beside it and at the front of the hotel were also lovely. The hotel is clearly an old building but it has been refurbished tastefully with a covered courtyard for dining and solid marble-effect floors. Everything about it made you feel you were in Italy.

The bed was a little hard but that was a minor thing. The location might not suit anyone with difficulty walking. It is a 20-minute descent into Trastavere and there are quite a few steps. However, there seem to be plenty of taxis available. (We enjoyed the walk very much and the view of Rome is extraordinarily beautiful.)

This wonderfully comfortable and impeccably clean hotel is perched on a hill just a 20-minute walk from the vibrant Trastevere neighborhood and about 30 minutes from Vatican City. The location was convenient, especially with a well-stocked supermarket nearby, which was a blessing during the sweltering summer heat. The daytime concierge staff were professional, friendly, and genuinely eager to please their guests. My room was large and well-equipped with good airconditioning, a comfortable bed, fridge, kettle, and a selection of complimentary teas and coffee. The chambermaids were outstanding—friendly, generous, and meticulous in their work, ensuring the rooms were cleaned to perfection and always at a convenient time. I particularly enjoyed the well-kept garden, which was a serene spot to relax. Unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to fully enjoy the spacious rooftop lounge or the popular swimming pool, but they both looked inviting.

However, there is greater potential to be harnessed in the breakfast service. A more varied selection of options, rather than the same assortment of vegetables, fruits, and warm dishes each day, would be appreciated. Additionally, small touches like tablecloths could greatly enhance the dining atmosphere. Unfortunately, the restaurant staff were somewhat aloof and didn’t exhibit the same level of service-mindedness as the concierge and chambermaids. This diminished my enthusiasm to try the hotel’s restaurant. It’s clear that the hotel was once grand, but it now feels a bit tired and dark. A renovation to restore its former grandeur would not only elevate the guest experience but also help justify the price of a stay.

1) Very clean rooms & beds, well equipped with small fridge, minisafe, and well functioning aircondition. 2) Comfortable bed. 3) Friendly and helpful staff in reception, and cleaning personell. When I mentioned that the fridge in my room was not functioning properly, they replaced it with a new one. 4) Nice pool in the garden, not overly crowded. 5) Very nice location in the Trastevere quarter of Rome, walking distance from lots of nice restaurants and further to city center, also local supermarket in the neighbourhood.

1) Overall a bit pricey 2) Breakfast supposed to be from 7-10. However, when arriving 30 min - 20 min before 10 they had repeatedly ran out of beans, mushrooms etc and staff replied that it was nearing closure. Staff generally not very attentive in the breakfast area, one consistently had to ask them to refill the empty milk bottle, replace bowls and spoons for cereals etc. In fairness, it improved when we addressed this at the reception. Eggs and pancakes were served, but were cold (except for one day during our 10 days stay), cold as taken directly out of the fridge.

All of the staff are wonderful The pool is beautiful The gardens are immaculate and there are 3 lovely areas to sit and relax - the front courtyard and lawn area, the pool area and the roof top terrace that has spectacular views of the sunset. Great location, easy walk to the main tourist attractions but also close to a lot of local neighborhood shops and eateries. We stayed here 5 years ago and liked it so much we returned again this year and were not disappointed. A most delicious Sakura Beef Burger is on the menu!

The bed was pretty hard Visible mould on bathroom ceiling that also smelt unpleasant The bar/restaurant doesn't serve any small snacks such as bruschetta to enjoy with drinks in between meal times.

Very kind staff and very clean spacious rooms. A beautiful hotel at a beautiful Gianicolo area in one of Rome's hills. It is a bit of a climb from Trastevere, but it is also well connected with buses in the case someone does not want to walk much.

Beds were a bit uncomfortable to our taste and the sound insulation is not the best. Even if the food at the restaurant was good, it was running out very fast and not getting refilled in some cases.
