This hotel had a beautiful and quiet setting, had the right mix of modern and more classic style, and the location worked great for me! It was close to useful bus and tram lines, and being close to the metro and the Ostiense train station were great (it was quite easy to get to Fiumicino first thing in the morning!). The 24-hour front desk was necessary for the front gate, but I loved being able to drop off my room key and pick it up when I returned. No lost key for me! Traveling solo, that touchpoint with another person was also welcome. I will also say, it was a distinctly Italian experience, especially with no A.C. and just a fan in July, but I knew what I was signing up for :)

i loved my stay here, if you watched Italian soap Capri about the family that opened hotel in their villa, this place really remined me of that! great neightbourhood, i felt really safe and got to expiriance real Italian vibe. it's really near to the parks from where I saw one of the most beautiful views and sunsets in Italy! everyone was so nice and kind! since my flight was in the afternoon and check out is by 11am they let me leave my lugage until flight so I can enjoy my last day in Rome and I really appriciate that! i will deffinitly book this place for my next visit to Rome!

Location is fantastic! In a Historical Part of Rome. We were given a room in a “basement” or you would say a ground level, with window to the garment. At first we were a bit skeptical, since you literally can climb through the window out/in, however, the windows have a great shutters, pretty secure! Staff was always great! Room was cleaned daily. Premises secured by a large Maine gate with the doorbell and you can come or leave at anytime time. There was always someone to open a gate. Our flight also wasn’t till late afternoon, we were able to leave our luggage and pick it up right before our departure!

Besides ground level, everything was great!

Very authentic Italian B&B experience! It's located in a quiet part of town, close to the famous "Malta Keyhole." After the loud and chaotic tourist areas in Rome, this was a welcome escape. The property is beautiful and located outside the main tourist area. It was a 15 euro cab ride from the Colosseum to the front door. Just down the hill are restaurants where we had our favorite meal of the trip. It's in a business area so no tourist traps here. Our room was downstairs so it was cooler but please note there is no working A/C. We had what appeared to be an A/C unit but it didn't do much and we had a fan. It was very hot! But we loved the owners and appreciated the 24 hour access. We felt very safe and secure. Highly recommend!

The hotel is extremely beautiful and scenic. You are within walking distance of good restaurants, museums, ruins, and everything Rome has to offer. The neighbourhood where you'll be staying is also exceptionally beautiful and scenic. Youre about a 3 minute walk from Giardino degli Aranci that offers one of the most beautiful views of Rome in the entire city. You'll feel like you're in a movie if you stay here, my girlfriend and I didn't want to leave. Bonus, there is a staff member in the office 24/7 and they are extremely friendly and helpful.

I have no complaints. The wifi was great, the breakfast was delicious, the staff were all friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

It was outside the city center, so we didn't have to worry about any crowds or noises and this made it easy to disconnect from the craziness of the city. The hotel was beautiful and homey and the staff were really friendly. The trees and plants surrounding the hotel helped to keep the area surrounding cool, so even though we didn't have A/C (just a floor fan) we didn't have any problem with the heat in the middle of July.

The only thing to keep in mind is that it is at the top of a hill. So if mobility is a difficulty maybe you should reconsider.

A lovely little hotel. Do not be fooled by the one-star rating, this is a very nice hotel and idea for our short stay in Rome. The staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly, and the room very clean and comfortable. An ample breakfast was included. The hotel does not serve lunch or dinner, but there are restaurants and coffee shops in easy walking distance, including some very good, smart restaurants. The hotel itself is an elegant old villa with nice private garden in a very quiet, safe, upmarket residential area, away from shops, tourists, etc. That said, it is only a 15-minute walk to the Colosseum or the Circus Maximus, and from there a short walk to the Roman Forum or the centre of the city. There is also a railway station just 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel. We really liked it here and had a lovely time in this amazing city.

The hotel staff was very friendly and supportive. Outstanding hospitality! The location cannot be better. The breakfast (a very generous one by the way) is served in a welcoming dining room with huge windows overlooking the garden with lush old trees. Very quiet but at the same time very close to all the tourist attractions. The garden that surrounds the hotel is majestic. I wish I could stay for longer and enjoy a glass of cold wine relaxing at the garden.

I booked the room last minute, it was the only room available for my dates, they were oversold. The windows in the room were too high and it was a bit dark during the day. But, since the room was below the ground, it always stayed cool even during the hottest days when the temperature outside well above 30C.

This hotel deserves way more than one star. Everything is perfect: the room, the staff, the location, the building. There is everything needed for a few days in Rome. Definitely recommended. Bonus points for being 5 minutes walking distance from the Tiber river and from a park with a great panoramic view.

The neighbourhood is very quiet, but be aware that there is no metro station nearby, in contrast to most of the hotels near Termini. This is not a problem, if you don't mind a bit more walking, which allows you to explore some more of this amazing city.

The hotel was very quiet, in a residential neighborhood and away from the traffic and noise of the more tourist-packed areas. The most noise I heard was occasional barking of dogs late in the morning and later afternoon. I had a very restful stay.

The hotel is not particularly near public transit so getting to the noisy tourist-packed areas generally meant a healthy walk. This was fine if I was going to be out all day, but I didn't always want to be out all day.
