Exceptional apartment in the heart of Rome - I was fortunate to have a junior suite with lovely views of the Basilica Papale di Santa Maria Maggiore. The suite was spacious, clean and well appointed. Bathroom was modern and spacious. Reception is manned 24 x 7 so my late evening arrival wasn't a problem. Breakfast was great - fresh, plenty of options and great coffee!! All in all, a great find.

As my flight arrived in the evening, it was late by the time I arrived at the hotel. The main doors had been closed for the night and it wasn't easy to find the entrance - a brass plaque with the hotel name is to the left of the door but there is no lighting so it is hard to read. Once located it was a little difficult to navigate the "door within a door" with my suitcase then you have to find the small elevator to take you to the right floor. A few more instructions prior to arrival, and clearer signage for later arrivals, would have been helpful. That said, the receiptionist couldn't have been more welcoming once I made it to the right floor!!!

I absolutely loved staying at Princess. The location is perfect, so much to walk around that is close enough. train station is about a 10 minute walk. Hop on and hop off bus stop is across the street. We got a 3 day pass online and did not have to worry about transportation to tour the city. The staff in the hotel were very nice. Breakfast was amazing and their coffee machine hit the spot.

Breakfast would be better if there was different variety every other day.

The location was fantastic, the rooms are pretty clean and the breakfast is comprehensive. The shower is great.

I would say the hospitality here is standard. But they get the job done really well! Even in late November the room was a bit too warm and you couldn't make it less warm since the minimum temperature in the AC is limited or blocked.

Cozy, comfortable and an excellent location, has a nearby rental office for small electric cars that you can roam around the city of Rome with and a short 10 minute walk from the main attractions such as the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain … etc.

The property is on the 4th floor, inside a residential building, with only 1 small elevator that can fit a maximum of 2 persons at a time. The sink is outside the bathroom itself so if you’ll need to cleanup you’ll have to step out of the bathroom. We faced a slight issue with the shower in which it was clogged but was resolved by the receptionist once addressed instantly. The next day we faced the same issue with the sink as well. Apparently there is only one iron at the property based on request.

This is a small hotel, only rooms on a single floor. The location is close to Termini train station, so very convenient. All the accommodations were nice! Bathrooms were clean! There is someone there 24 hours a day. The breakfast was good for being free. The temperature inside the hotel area was very cool!

The room was a bit small but ok for us and our stay. We arrived during a national holiday so the door was closed and was a bit difficult to locate. There is a button you must push to communicate with the hotel and have them open the door for you. There are no signs on the outside because it’s a historic building. It would have been nice if they told us about the access before we arrived.

The location of the hotel is quite comfortable. It is very close to the main station Termini and you can reach Colloseo in 15 minutes. The view on Piazza from our room was beautiful near Santa Maria Maggiore. Also there is the best place to eat nearby - Birreria Marconi. The hotel occupies one floor of this Building and is very cosy with a lovely staff and clean rooms. The temperature and heating during winter season was very important for me and the warmth of the room and the hotel gave exrtra comfort along with the coffee machine in the lobby which was free and you could drink delicious tea or coffee any time you wanted.

The rooms don't have balconies and smoking areas, you have to go outside everytime and the elevator is quite slow. They have very qualitative pillows, matress and covers but if you are not used to hipoallergic stuff, it can get a little uncomfortable 🙈

I really did like Princeps Hotel. It was in a good area, kind of away from the hustle and bustle. The entrance was not that confusing to get to like other reviewers say. The elevator was very cute and the rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was perfectly acceptable. Our room had a great view of the square across the street, and it's within a (slightly long) walk to the Colosseum.

The SMELL from the toilet in our room was horrible! I'm not sure if this is a problem with all of Rome but it was really heinous. We could smell it while sleeping even when we shut the toilet lid and closed the bathroom door. Breakfast was also a little lacking, but I feel like that was because there is only one staff member in charge of feeding everyone. Things often ran out and you had to wait for them to be replenished- but they never ran out! The coffee was only OK but you could get it at any time of the day so I shouldn't complain.

We stayed here during our honeymoon. The staff was wonderful and very helpful! Location is great - close to everything. The buffet breakfast which was included with our stay was delicious - lots of great food options to choose from. We liked that the windows opened up & we could have fresh air in the room too. Some places won’t let the windows to be open. It was clean and secure at night as well with a staff onsite to help you out with whatever you need.

Bed was 2 small beds put together but honestly it was not an issue & was still comfortable. Everything in Rome is small, so be prepared for small rooms if you’re coming from US. It’s very normal, especially in Rome.

we are obsessed with Princeps Boutique Hotel! we loved it so much that we changed our accommodations for the last night of our trip to come back and stay here! it is a gorgeous boutique hotel that is in a fantastic location, about 5 min walk from train station and within 1 mile walk to a lot of main attractions. the breakfast was fantastic and we loved the self service coffee and water machines available all day! the staff is friendly and helpful. we will absolutely stay again when in Rome!

we loved everything!

This was an interesting experience, finding the hotel with just a small brass plate rather than a big sign. The staff were very nice and for a one night stay after a cruise a very good choice. Rooms were comfortable, and the a/c a godsend. It's a very nice location and being on the fourth floor is nice and quiet.

To get to the hotel requires the use of a lift, not a problem. However, the lift takes three people at a time. We were four people with 4 big suitcases. The lift was not quick either. I know the age and type of the building is the issue, but be warned. Another grumble was that some of the breakfast food seemed a bit stale, yesterday's bread? Overall, it was great for a night, but maybe not a weeks stay.
