1000s of birds nesting in trees immediately out front of hotel meant bird poo was all over our clothes and shoes when entering/exiting the hotel at night. this was a big negative for our (otherwise excellent) stay here

The staff were amazing! We loved the seating areas in the lobby. The rooms were comfortable and we loved the adjoining rooms for our family. The breakfast buffet was great. The rooftop patio was neat as was being able to just grab a cappuccino in the afternoon. We’d stay again.

The restaurants kind of had an identity crisis. You could order other items not listed in the menus but they weren’t obvious. The restaurant in the evening had a shorter “higher end?” menu but more options would be nice. It doesn’t have to be classic Italian but I honestly would have trouble describing the menus and food to people back home. Staff were always friendly.

An excellent hotel. From the moment you walk in. Great decor. Super friendly staff on check in, we were presented with a warm cookies too. Comfu bed and great spacious rooms excellent breakfast great food at the roof top bar

We have been welcomed by Irene and we felt home from the moment she greeted us. Such a lovely woman who always had a smile on here eyes! We had a nice chat and she gave us good tips where to eat too. The hotel is nicely located, not far away from the main train station. Rooms are in a modern style and they offer everything you need. Breakfast was good too although we would have appreciated fresh real bread instead of toast.

Room is brand new, comfortable with good atmosphere and design. Good night lighting, nice view, friendly (very) staff! Especially Giovanni.

All was great. Beyond my expectations and good value for money.

The hotel was in a good location, just under a 10 minute walk to the Termini train/metro station. Beds were a good size (we had a superior twin room) and good facilities in the bathroom. Good selection at breakfast. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

The hotel room was really noisy at night. Two out of the three nights of our stay we were woken numerous times in the night by a loud banging above us (sounded like someone bouncing a ball on the floor above.) Our room was close to the lifts and there was constantly chatting and slamming doors in the corridor outside. The TV in the room had about one English channel (I would expect when paying almost £300 per night to have a few English channels on the TV.)

From the moment we walked in we were treated so kindly. From the doorman to reception it was a lovely welcome. We were upgraded to an even better room with a terrace! While the weather wasn't great this was an awesome little bonus. The styling of the hotel is modern, but warm, and the little touches everywhere didn't go unnoticed. For an additional treat, visit their rooftop bar for a drink and aperitivo.

There was a very odd smell in the reception area, however it seemed they were aware and trying to combat it. I honestly think maybe it had to do with the plants, however I cannot imagine eating in the restaurant on that level with that smell.

The breakfast buffet was not included in our room but we ate there every day of our stay. It's reasonably priced for the choices you get, and everything they serve is spectacular and well-cooked. They have hot and cold dishes to choose from, and their espressos are as authentic as they come. You also get a 10% OFF discount card on all their restos and bars for the duration of your stay which is great.

Everything about my stay in DoubleTree was excellent. I would stay here over and over again every time I visit Rome, and I mean that completely! Worth every dime spent on the room, and reception was just wonderful and helpful.

It’s a shame breakfast was not included as it is usually has been with my previous stays in other doubletree hotels. The hotel was clean, staff were nice, and they accommodated most of our requests.

The only things that could be improved is the shower is starting to look a bit rough, the toilets smelled of drain water in all 3 rooms, and we were given cards which said we can take a robe home with us if we just ask staff, but when we did they said we need to pay 60 euros per gown, which is not what it says on the card.

The services were excellent. Staff was extremely welcoming and upgraded our room upon arrival. We could check in upon arrival, even though it was before 2 PM. The room was large, with a balcony and a view of Santa Maria Maggiore. The bed was super comfortable. Being close to the train station was very practical for us. The area of Termini train station, although quite dirty, is in fact safe, and there are some nice bars and restaurants close by. A number of shops may also be found 5 mins away. Trevi fountain and other Rome attractions are within walking distance.
