The location is incredible, both to move around the city by walk and using public transports. The room was spacious and bright, spotlessly clean. The furniture was simple and a bit “old style”, but functional. The breakfast was simple but generous, and it was served in the room. The private bathroom, just across the hall, was ok, it would benefit from some renovation works. The staff was nice and helpful. All in all, considering is the heart of rome, it was great value for money!

Having the breakfast served in your room gives you less flexibility, as you can’t change the time at the last minute. Furthermore, it generate more food waste, as you can’t pick what you want and everything is provided by default.

Staying at Santa Croce was an overall pleasant experience, everything was as described online. We read some reviews about toilets being outside the room and were a bit sceptic, but fortunately our double room had a bathroom inside as described. The room was completely clean and nice.

I can't say is it a minus or not, but the first day breakfast had most food on the trays, the second was a bit less (without ham and salami), and the last day it was not only no meat but also no eggs. Overall we had enough, but we were wondering what if we stayed a bit longer, would it be even less next day? Should we pay for the breakfast extra money like tips to have everything?

Extraordinary delicious and full breakfast, very friendly and nice owner and ladies serving, possibility of leaving the luggage for free, very close to subway, walking distance from a number of attractions, Colloseum included. There is an independent heating and cooling by air conditioning. Walking distance from Termini and no need to take taxi or subway after leaving the shuttle from the airport. Nice local cafe at the street corner, with real Italian espresso serving at the counter.

The street is noisy and old windows do not stop this noise. But there are other advantages, that minimise this little problem. Also bathrooms require some renovation and better cleaning.

The room is really large and comfortable. The balcony is a nice plus, especially for smokers. The paintings on the walls are quite beautiful too. We had a rich room served breakfast every morning and 2 very nice ladies (for Romanians, ask for Elena, she's really friendly) asking us every time if we need something. The location is great for visiting the Colloseum, Roman Forum and Unification Monument. The main Termini station is nearby and also the Manzoni Metro station too. There's also some shops on the ground floor for food.

The bathroom is not adjacent to the room yet it is private. It can be a bit noisy on the balcony as there is a main street down below.

Good clean large comfortable room. The location was also near a metro station. Tram and bus station were also near by. The termini station is also not far. The breakfast was limited but good. The staff is helpful. Even though she doesn’t know English using a translation app she was able to communicate.

The bathroom is private but external. Hence u will have to cross the hall. But it’s actually not that big a problem. Please inform the lady your time of arrival as there is no reception as such. Hence she needs to be present to hand over keys.

I really liked the room – beautiful furniture, clean linens, and a comfortable bed. The balcony with a small table and chairs was very charming. The location is convenient – no crowds, close to the center, with a nice supermarket, cafes, and restaurants nearby. The staff is very polite and friendly. The breakfast was excellent.

The only disappointment was the mold in the bathroom. Although it’s cleaned, the lack of proper ventilation is noticeable.

We loved this B&B so much, we stayed here twice! The room we had was small, but clean and cozy and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast (croissants, toast with jams and cheese, cereal, orange juice, coffee, hot chocolate) brought to the room is a really nice touch and when we had to check out early to catch our flight, they left a to-go breakfast in the mini fridge for us the night before. The first time we stayed, we had a little problem with one of the keys (no one's fault) and they were very responsive via WhatsApp and fixed the problem in under 5 minutes. It's about a 15-20min walk to the train station and a 20min walk to the Colosseum or a very very short walk to the metro so the location was quite convenient too!

The apartment is an older style B & B on the 4th floor. It has a lift. It is a large room, very comfortable and clean with a balcony. It had a refrigerator and a kettle. You have a private bathroom across the hall. Breakfast is brought to your room and was very good. The ladies running it were lovely and helpful. Manzoni metro station is just around the corner an easy 5 min walk and would be the best way to access this apartment and the sights of Rome.

Liked tbe staff who were friendly and obliging and the breakfast provided was excellent..

Would have been handy to know thay Metro line from the Termini to Manzini does not run after 9pm due to ongoing building work (work that began in 2022 and is now slated to continue until 2024) We were not informed in advance that you will be charged a 50 euro fee if you book in later than 11pm which would have happened to us as it was 10.20 when I rang to tell them we might be later than 11pm as the Metro line we were planning on using was closed (which came as no surprise to the person on the other end of the phone line) and that the taxi queue was huge ...

Santa croce is a cozy apartment divided into multiple rooms with private bathrooms outside the room. There is always one bathroom to one room. Very pleasant are breakfasts, which are served at the agreed time on a mobile table and consist of pastries, eggs, coffee, tea, milk, mussli, jam, butter, cheese. Everyone will surely choose. Both the bathroom and the room were perfectly cleaned every day. And there was a very comfortable bed, which rarely happens to me in accommodation. I definitely recommend Santa croce. Everywhere in Rome can be easily reached on foot, the location is close to the Colosseum and all the main sights. I would very much like to thank Evelyn for her helpfulness and interest when we had a problem with arrival due to flight delay, she communicated with us via whatsapp the whole time and she tried to help and calm us down. And also thank you for beautifully folded pajamas every day.

The street that runs around Santa Croce is very busy and we were a little disturbed by the traffic noise that was heard mainly at night. Italians just like to use the horn and they like to ride noisy motorbikes. But it was survivable, I see much more positives about the accommodation, so this cannot spoil my overall impression.
